This is a great bit of kit and we decided and had our kitchen designed around it. We were going to have a full fitted island until we saw this on the internet. The Good - Butchers Table is superb although one of the castors has already failed after 2 weeks. Noted this in other reviews The Bad - Customer Service. We were told that it would take approx 6 weeks and we stated that it would be fine. After 6 weeks we chased via email, text and calls to be promised date after date. Then we could have our money back !!!!! What? They turned up and were fine after a number of weeks. If only they could sort their Customer Service out then they would be rocking. But again its a great bit of kit.

Absolutely love our new island from Captains Craftsworks. A beautifully made, welcome, new addition to our kitchen The ordering process was very easy. The questions we had were answered quickly and efficiently by Kim. Delivery could not have easier and it was great to meet Adam in person and talk to him about his passion for his work. Would have no hesitation in ordering from them again.

Very nice wardrobe, drawers and bedside drawers. Mum very pleased with deep drawers made to measure. Everything matches perfectly and well made. Very courteous delivery and respectful of property.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Just had a kitchen island delivered this evening by the owner and his wife, damaged. When I pointed this out Adam (owner of Captains - Craftworks) got very aggressive and said he had damaged it getting it out of the van- he would take it back and give me a full refund. This was after he tried to sand down the damage outside in the lane in the rain. He then changed his mind and said that as it was now off his van, he did not wait for my neighbours assistance even though we told him we had help coming - he unloaded it damaged!!!- apparently according to him it was now my problem and I would have to send it back at my own expense. When I questioned him on his appalling attitude he threatened me with violence and said he wanted to 'deck me' and asked which one of the gentlemen that came over to help was my husband as he wanted them to take a beating for me as he did not want to hit a woman. This was in front of my daughter and three neighbours and his own wife who just stood and watched her husband be abusive and so aggressive. My neighbour informed him that he had called the police so Adam then pushed the kitchen island out into the middle of the lane, got into his van with his wife and drove off very quickly. I informed the police as I was worried he might come back and they advised if he did I was to call 999. Absolutely appalled by this man and his business and wished I had read the reviews before ordering. I paid nearly £1300 for this island and it is not worth half the money. When I placed the order Adam was charming and helpful but immediately after I had paid his attitude changed completely from changing delivery dates and a terrible communication. I will be contacting my solicitor next week to get my money back as he is refusing to refund me

Great addition to our kitchen & garden barbecue area. Well made, easy application of oil to the working surface & enough remove for utensils & small kitchen appliances.

The kitchen butchers block island we got is brilliant. Well made, solid and a lovely piece of furniture. My only criticism is the wheels. The brake mechanism broke on two of the wheels. They replaced them but charged me. Since then another one has gone. We don’t move it with the brakes on. The mechanism is flimsy. I would say get the island, certainly, but without the wheels.

Searched all the usual companies for a kitchen island came across Captain's Craftworks by accident and I am so delighted. Just taken delivery of beautifully made island. Adam and Kim kept me up to date from order to delivery. I had concerns about such a large piece of furniture being delivered as some companies could only deliver to door or worse still as there are 4 steps to the property the pavement Adam assured me he would deliver to the kitchen. He did, even though he had hurt his back that morning. I can't recommend them highly enough Thanks again Adam and Kim

The goods I bought from this company are top notch, will last for years, communication with the company are very good, they do email you back if any questions, delivery excellent, I got a call from the company to say what date and time the delivery would be, the delivery person was very helpful, gave instructions on how and when to oil the item, very impressed with the company overall.

Great product and overall service. Would highly recommend.

Very pleased with the item supplied, other than 2 lockable castors that have failed within 3 months. I paid £1230. Delivery took much longer than expected I had to repeatedly chase to obtain a date. However, the delivered product was worth the wait. Disappointed that my 3 text messages dated April to June have not been acknowledged. A pity as the craftsmanship is exceptional.

- Easy to order on website (with a massive range of products, colours and sizes to choose from) - Good communication throughout! - Solid Butchers Block arrived and it's lovely! - Delivery was easy with their 'wheels' and made things so much easier. With a little help from myself - Woodcare kit that it comes with is fantastic, easy to follow instructions All in all I feel the extra cost is worth it as the Block is great and exactly what we ordered. Not a negative word to say.

Absolutely superb butchers block, forms a beautiful island in our large cottage kitchen. The craftsmanship and quality is nothing less than excellent. The whole service from beginning to end has been superb and so worth the wait. I must admit that I was slightly nervous buying without seeing but went ahead based on the reviews I had read. The endorsements are well deserved. We are so delighted with the product and to know our money has been well spent. I would not hesitate in purchasing or commissioning a piece from this company again in future. Thank you.
