I've been using TFX for about a half dozen years. I've been an expat since 1969 ('nam) and didn't get around to making things right with the IRS until the end of the nineties when I was made aware of TFX's streamline program and I contacted TFX and they got me through the maze of regulations that is the American govt. After the first experience, they got me "back in the loop" and I've stuck with them every year. one suggestion, after the first year or so, I got a preparer who I found to be amazing and I've stuck with him every year since even though their company AI assigns me a random name every year, I contact management and request the same preparer every year and management obliges my request. The man stays on top of my situation and I can e mail him with any question I have and he gets back to me within a day. I'm too old to navigate and understand all the forms, rules, and regulations that make up the online world but I always feel "safe and in good hands" of someone who I feel cares about me. I live and have been a Japanese resident who went decades without looking at nor understanding any U.S. tax regulations, depending on my younger Japanese wife to take care of our taxes here. TFX have watched over us and taken care of our U.S. tax obligations. TFX has made our lives so much easier and organized. I would gladly recommend them to any expat friends.
