As a broker I had a remortgage application, on completion the clients had not calculated their figures correctly and were short by £2000 on completion. Completion then was delayed and after then Gavin came to the rescue by changing the term and rate for the clients to enable them to be able to borrow enough to complete. This was a complex debt consolidation and without Gavins help my clients would not of been able to reduce their outgoings by consolidating. I would highly recommend Gavin

United Kingdom | 03 September 2024Pepper Money are by far and away the best lender to deal with imho. You deal with people who know what is going on with your case. They actually phone you with updates..!!!! I know mad isn't it. If you upload the documents and items required they are dealt with almost immediately. The underwriting team are not trying to prevent your cases from going to offer, which seems to be the case with so many lenders. They approach the case and any issues objectively actually weighing up risk rather than a "computer says no" attitude. It's like going back in time when things worked. Pepper Money certainly works for me. I would put every case through them if I could.

United Kingdom | 30 August 2024I contacted Pepper Money for a settlement statement on 1 August. I transferred more than £50k over the next three days to cover the full settlement amount (plus £30 for additional interest). The first payment triggered a text asking me to call the office, and I spoke to a gentleman on Monday 5 August, who confirmed that one payment had been received, but that it might take a day or so for the other payments to appear on the system. Since then, I have heard nothing, despite having emailed on 23 August and then earlier today, asking for urgent confirmation that our second charge mortgage has been settled. This is unacceptable - particularly as my Direct Debit is scheduled for the last day of the month and so I have no idea whether £1300 will be taken from my account on Monday. UPDATE - I was contacted on 4 September and now have confirmation that everything has been settled. I am happy with the outcome, and with my experience with Pepper Money over the past couple of years, however comms when settling early could be improved!

The agreement in principle I got from Pepper today will be life changing.... Client going through a nasty divorce and just needs a lender to listen to her and understand why she hasnt got a perfect credit rating. And thanks for being bendy on the employment criteria.... It means so much when a lender doesnt hide behind its policy book and says yes to a great client. United Kingdom | 30 August 2024Just over 2 weeks from start to finish getting a mortgage offer and there was a delay in this due to access for the valuation. It was a very straight forward application process with my broker giving regular updates and just a few questions asked in one go making it a lot less stressful than with other lenders. Anyone with previous credit issues or complex cases should choose Pepper. Letter also arrived post completion as promised detailing first mortgage payment and amount
