United Kingdom | 16 December 2021Good service, calling when they said they would. Only problem wa they never told me about a delivery charge. They gave me my deposit refund, then hit me for a delivery charge of £50.00 which I guess I should have expected especially as they come from Leicester. It’s just it was never mentioned. Trike is more difficult to ride than I expected to. But trike is as shown and a good piece of kit. Well made. Received emails of instruction manuals on the day of delivery. They are very good at explaining how to use.

United Kingdom | 08 December 2021Steve delivered my trike and explained everything to me about the trike and watched when I did a couple of test rides. He was very patient and, a wonderful teacher, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Steve for all your help.

United Kingdom | 01 December 2021I love this trike much and it does help a lot when I have no car currently and need to go marketing. Stephen is a very nice guy and his service is exceptionally good. He makes sure that I can fully understand how to control the trike before he leaves. I will order this trike again when my siblings arrived in the UK. Thank you so much Stephen.

United States | 07 November 2021Do not order from Alpine Electric Bikes. I contacted them via email on 10/12 to ask questions. My questions about the return policy were ignored. I received an invoice on 10/21 and paid in full. On 10/26 I was given a delivery ETA of 11/2 to Virginia, USA. I asked again about the confusing return policy and Steven T. attempted to assure me that I wouldn't want to return it and finally on 11/1 said if I did not want the trike I should not open the box, and return it to them, and if I ride the trike (which would show on the odometer) it is not returnable. I replied that that is not consistant with the information on the website, which suggests a 2 week return period and adjusted refund based on mileage; I did not receive a response (the return policy on the Shop App is different as well!) I never received a notification that the trike had shipped and the Shop App does not list a tracking number. I emailed Alpine stating my concern that the trike had been lost or stolen in transit. Steven copied me on an email to WSI which stated it was supossed to ship and arrive 11/2 and that a new ETA would be provided. On 11/7 I responded to Alpine that I was canceling the order due to lost faith in their company- poor Trust Piolt reviews that echoed my experience, incoherrant return policy, and lack of shipment. The customer service experience is poor. Steven said he had "been on vacation for a few days" which does not explain why he accepted payment but did not provide clear return info, nor clear shipping and tracking info. The response from Alpine was that the trike would be shipped and an ETA would be provided. I responeded to them and WSI immediately stating clearly again that the order is canceled, no tracking # or new ETA has been given, and I will not pay for any shipping fees. I am now going to contact my credit card company and persue a full refund from Alpine.

United Kingdom | 02 November 2021I have the alpine Explorer the more expensive one on finance you do not get the Samsung battery. you get a silver Chinese battery. and the 33 miles on one charge. you will get about 10 miles that you get out of it. they should really give you a month trial to see if you like the trike. On their page you can go into a YouTube to see the trike it saying it's good for disabled people and people with balance issues I am disabled. I think disabled people should get a months trial to see if you would like it. Looks nice doesn't mean is nice

United Kingdom | 20 October 2021Do not buy this product or from this company until you have read this review. Alpine Tilting ETrike purchased February 2021. I was very happy with the design of the bike, the trike gave me the confidence to cycle for the first time in my life. However!. The bike broke down on the FIRST DAY I used it! The Jockey wheel snapped, leaving the bike unrideable. As the bike was under 30 days old, it was in my consumer right to reject the bike and request a full refund. However, I wanted to give the bike a chance. I had after all waited several weeks for it and Steve convinced me that it was just a faulty part. He asked me to organise the repair then claim a refund. Then on the first day of the summer holiday, whilst out cycling with my young son, 5 miles from home, the pedals suddenly had no resistance, the ‘Free Wheel’ had disintegrated. This was the second time in less than 6 months that the bike had broken down. I had only travelled a total 130 miles on the bike. After consulting with Steve from Alpine Bikes it was agreed that I would organise the repair again. However the bike shop was unable to complete the repair Below is an assessment by Bools Bikes: 'The freewheel has failed on the left hand side. This is due to both freewheels being of a poor quality. As such, these cannot be removed with a four spline tool, as can be done with good quality freewheels by manufacturers such as Shimano.....For it to fail so quickly highlights the fact that they are of a poor quality' I contacted Steve about the unsuccessful repair and he offered me 3 options; 1. I could organise a local bike mechanic to come and repair the bike. 2. I could cover the expense to courier the bike to him to be repaired. 3. I could wait an unknown length of time for him to be in Bristol so he could collect the bike, repair it and return it to me at a time convenient to him. Here are the red flags; This was the second time the bike had failed in less then 6 months. Under the consumer Act 2015 the retailer is only entitled to one chance to repair when the item is less than six months old. This was the second repair. Within six months of purchase the consumer cannot suffer a financial loss in repairing the faulty Item, so option number 2 requesting that I cover the costs of the courier failed to recognise my consumer rights. and any repair needs to be completed in a timely manner. So the offer to collect and repair with an unknown time frame also failed to recognise my consumer rights. At this point I decided to reject the bike and request a refund, as I was entitled to do under the Consumer Act 2015 'Consumer rights act 2015- product owned for less then six months..... the retailer must give you a full refund if an attempt at a repair or replacement is unsuccessful. Source- Faulty product? How to get a refund, repair or replacement - Which? Steve replied to this request refusing the refund, claiming that as a retailer he had a right to repair before refund. He then offered me the SAME 3 options as before! Luckily I had paid the deposit for the bike on my MBNA card which entitled me to pursue a Section 75 claim, the creditor is jointly and equally liable with the retailer. It was agreed with MBNA, that they would cover the cost of the courier to return the Bike to Alpine for inspection to confirm that a repair had taken place in Feb and that the free wheel had indeed disintegrated. Steve, having inspected the bike, refused the refund as claiming I had crashed the bike and caused cause mechanical failure. His “evidence” was some cosmetic scratches to the frame. There were no dents on the frame or the basket. (see photo) At no point had I crashed. Either the bike is of such low build quality that a scratch to the frame is enough to cause a serious failure or Steve, in an attempt to deny my consumer rights, lied. Neither of these options would make a good recommendation for the product or the retailer. The consumer rights act 2015, clearly states that when an item is less than 6 month old, if the item develops a fault it is assumed that it arrived with that fault. It is the retailer’s responsibility to prove otherwise. MBNA, having also received Steve’s photographs and statement accusing me of damaging the bike, realised that Alpine Bikes were not going to honour their responsibilities and immediately issued me with a full refund. So in the end I got my refund thanks to MBNA. but Steve has the bike and the money – so I guess he’s the real winner in this. Katie Cooper.

United Kingdom | 01 October 2020I ordered the folding trike and was told that it would fit in a car with the back sat down. This is completely untrue. We have a Mercedes GLE 4 wheel drive and it is one of the largest on the market If you have any car estate car of 4 wheel drive forget it. It will need a van to transport it. I also lost a deposit of over £100 which is non refundable. Do NOT buy Wethe folding one.

United Kingdom | 20 September 2020I placed an order on 29/5 for a Alpine Electric Bikes - Electric Explorer Trike - e Tricycle - Samsung. When placing order I payed in full. June 3rd I received a phone call to say there was a delay on receiving my order as they come from China. I was given a £200 refund for the battery and told the bike would be with me by end of August start of September. By the end of August/September no news from Alpine. I sent a email which was ignored. I ring Alpine and was told 11th September a delivery would be arranged. By the 11th September I had heard nothing at this point I lost all faith in Alpine. So sent another email saying I would be going through my credit card to get a refund. The only positive I can put on this review is Is this company did give me a refund hence the 1 star. Shocking customer service no apology. my advice anyone ordering a bike please get everything in writing. As Steve gives you all these promises over the phone and breaks every single 1. The bike was a present for my Dad and was kept waiting for over 3 months. Very poor company

United Kingdom | 14 May 2020I *LOVE* my tilt trike. Love it. I’ve had 2 spinal fusions, a new knee and a plethora of other operations and was scared to death of going back on a 2-wheeler. Tried a normal trike for a couple of weeks but felt SO scared when riding on cambers. Felt like I was going to fall off. My tilt trike is AMAZING! Want to ride every single day. I love it. Thanks so much Mark for a fabulous service and home delivery. Brilliant. Highly recommend YOU as well as the trike. Did I say I love it?!

United Kingdom | 08 April 2020Electric tilt trike pros: sturdily built on smooth flat roads. great good lcd display cons: on rougher roads, suspension set post gives very little if any relief from the smallest bump needs more than 3 gears, could've done wirh a 5 or 7 speed hub. slight downhill and 3rd provide no resistance to pedaling as mentioned in another review, can't hand signal right if using the throttle overall a little disappointed, with a few modifications it does have the potential to be really good, but a bit late for me as it is now, I would say a little over priced

United Kingdom | 04 April 2020What can I say, apart from FAB-U-LOUS! Took delivery this morning (thank you so much Steve for the personal delivery and run through of how to operate, really appreciated) and immediately went for a ride. FREEDOM! Easy to operate. I initially thought I wouldn't use the tilt feature but set off with it on and it really does feel like riding a bicycle but with the stability of it being a trike. I will be using this feature all the time now. Excellent communication and service from the company. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you again, Steve. There's no stopping me now! :)

United Kingdom | 18 March 2020Trike is excellent. I appreciated the effort you made to get it to me when you had problems not of your making..One suggestion indicators would be useful. You cannot signal a right turn when you are operating the throttle with your right hand. I think the personal delivery and demo is really good.

United Kingdom | 07 March 2020Delivered ahead of schedule in a Sunday morning. Bike seems to do everything as promised in you tube video. Thank heavens for the throttle that allows a fat 58 year old like me survive a 5 mile ride into work.
