I was recommended SD Bullion so I figured I’d try them out and seen their Kilos were slightly cheaper. I paid for express shipping and after 12 days my order still has not been shipped. I called three times asking what the hold up was and they continued to say it will be out in 2 days. The third call I told them to just cancel the order and they charged my 42 dollars. Place is awful and not organized.

United States | 29 March 2023The quality of service at SD Bullion has taken a MASSIVE nose dive. I am now on day 13 of waiting for my order to be shipped after payment has cleared. Customer service is awful, it's now just ChatGPT and 3rd party customer service that is horrendous. There 0 customer service, and all they keep saying is they can't guarantee any shipping dates or commit to anything and give massive open ended answers that mean nothing. So I finally called in to get an update about my order because I have been getting AI responses to my emails to their support email, and again got somebody on the line who literally sounded like they were high and could not give me a straight answer about when my order would ship. Obviously frustrated, I asked for a refund for an order that has not been shipped or fulfilled and I had to pay a FORTY DOLLAR REFUND FEE. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN. I want my $40 dollar scam fee back for the horrible service AND I want some kind of compensation for wasting my time and giving me the run around. Way to burn a loyal customer! Oh, and I am still getting marketing emails about sales and other nonsense! You can't even fulfill your current orders! Response to SD Bullion: You OBVIOUSLY don't care about your customers, how about an apology for the awful customer service instead of "Sorry you didn't understand our terms of service".

United States | 29 March 2023I wish I could leave 0 Stars! I will never make another purchase with this company again. I placed an order and paid for express shipping, payment processed in 7 hours but still hasn’t gotten here. It’s been a month and I never even got a confirmation of it being shipped. Hasn’t even shipped plus Terrible customer service. I called twice asking for at least an update and both reps were rude and told me basically to fly a kite and wait. No apologies, No update, and No manners. I placed an order with JmBullion and it got shipped the next day and was at my house in a total of 2 days. These guys can’t even ship out product in a month. Bad experience and I regret ever shopping here..

United States | 29 March 2023This is my first time ordering gold and silver, I read everything before I bought, 1-3 business days on normal market hours for processing I called and they told me 3-5 business days and it has now been 6 as well they told I would receive a confirmation email once shipped, they don't answer the phones. I feel like I ha e been scammed out of my hard earned money. I would not trust this company. Reply: 03/29/2023, Then relay that to your customers this people are investing thousands if not more, your phone prompt says check account settings for updates on orders and the best you can do is say payment received!? People are throwing their 401ks into this. Very bad business practices

United States | 28 March 2023Bad refund policy. Made to wait over two months for lost shipment replacement or refund. Customer service priority is new sales not your lost shipment problem. I followed all their procedures for lost or stolen package promptly. Doesn't matter that I'm a long time customer. My case was clearly the fault at FedEx, if sd bullions insurance company decides that your package might have been delivered to you, you will never get your money back. If you want to buy metal use a local coin shop. I have one that matches sd bullion price but he's over an hour away. After this experience, he gets my business exclusively because I'm sure package theft and loss is going to get worse. Thieves at usps and FedEx are wise to the fake names online dealers use and look for small heavy packages. Dealers are swamped now and mistakes will happen at shipping departments. Sd bullion was much better years ago but like many businesses they got too big to provide good customer service to handle problems.

United States | 24 March 2023Back in November 2022 I placed my first orders with SD Bullion. I chose the eCheck payment option to minimize the fees. Shortly after placing the order I received a phone call that the payment failed even though there was plenty of money in the account and the account number and routing number were correct. I ended up giving them the information for a different account with a different bank and this time the payment succeeded. I just decided to place another order and used the eCheck payment option again. I used the same account number and routing number that succeeded for my last order. A few days later I received an email saying the payment failed. I called them to verify the account number and routing number which were both correct. At that point I asked if I can cancel my order. They told me I can, but there will be a cancellation fee. When I said that I'm not willing to pay a cancellation fee the lady (I believe her name is Lucia) immediately threatened me saying they will send it to collections. At that point I really had it with them and asked how much the cancellation fee is. She said it's $200+ to cancel the order. At no point did she try to come to a reasonable solution even though this issue was outside of my control. The only options she was giving me was to mail in a paper check or wire the money. I don't use paper checks, it's 2023 and wire transfers cost $25. I ended up wiring the money, because there's no way in hell I'm going to pay them some bs cancellation fee. For what? They didn't do anything yet at that point. I just placed an order through their website, what's the cancellation fee for? This will be my last order with SD Bullion, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Their customer service department needs some serious work: unfriendly, unwilling to look for solutions and zero care for the customer. Do better.

They were from the second hand market but with other companies my silver always look in almost new and sometimes new condition. But for the prices you can't beat them sometimes. It's really what means the most to you. Quality or Quantity. Also the shipping time is a long wait for practically every company it's not just them. Their is a squeeze on the market. As long as you know the product is coming and you're not planning to sell just kick your fit up and wait.

United States | 19 March 2023I have bought silver bars from many online retailers. A friend recommended SD and their prices were excellent. I paid by check so I wouldn't have to pay for credit card fees. Paid $1.89 over spot for a 100 OZ bar. With processing and check clearing, it arrived at my house this morning. So 10 days from purchase to free delivery. I'll be buying a lot from them from now on.

United States | 18 March 2023Been ordering here since 2017 and every time the order met my expectations and more. I've had zero issues with any of my orders. The terms are clearly written so read the FAQS before ordering anywhere. If it says the product is delayed, it means they will get more from their source by that set date. Price is the best anywhere online from checking all the other sites. Shipping is relatively fast for a bullion company. Remember it takes a few days to clear the payment, then another day or 2 to ship out. I ordered Sunday night on March 12 by credit card and they shipped on Wednesday March 15. It arrived at my doorstep on Friday March 17 well packed and inconspicuously. My only advise for SDBullion is the order status. It should be marked "complete" only after confirmed delivery. It makes people nervous when they see the order says "complete" when the metals didn't arrive yet. And you guys grew very quickly in the last 2 years so you should hire more good honorable people, like more than 2. I will continue to get my metals from here as they are my most trusted bullion dealer.

United States | 15 March 2023First time buyer. Attempted to cancel purchase after 1 week. Couldn't get bank to wire. SD Wouldn't cancel order. SD insisted on another purchase option. Email and phone trying to cancel. month later they send 20 mailing in 4 days insisting on cancel fee plus loss coverage. Threats of collections. Yet they don't answer phone. Cancel fee maybe but the rest is bunk.

United States | 03 March 2023I've spent several thousand dollars in the past couple of months with this company and they convey they are a good Christan company who "does business the old fashioned way" and they "deliver the highest quality products". These are their words. Their actions however, speak louder than their empty words. I wanted to trust they would ship me (BU) brilliant uncirculated coins and rounds without obvious glaring flaws. Instead, and on more than one instance, I receive flawed coins and rounds, (30) rounds all with the same exact flaw. Then Frank in their customer service tells me if I ship these ones back that they won't guarantee that the exchange ones I'll get will be any better and that they could even be worse. No guarantees! How's that for service the old fashioned way, and the highest quality products??? These are their words verbatim!! UPDATE in response to SD Bullion's comments below: if you are transparent, then why not place a disclaimer for each BU listed coin/round before someone purchases them? Could it because you want them to buy them first and find out the hard way? Why am I only receiving disappointing and alleged BU quality with plenty flaws from SD Bullion than I am through other online dealers that I have done business with? I have explained this situation with these other online dealers ahead of any potential issues and they have assured me that if this situation ever happens through them that they'll even pay the return shipping, whereas SD Bullion will not! This is because SD Bullion wants the return shipping expense and for the customer to lower their standards, to both act as deterrents in following through with any returns/exchanges. This is what I call the moment of truth and eventually the truth surfaces. The truth is, that I will no longer be doing business with SD Bullion. There are far better choices with friendlier terms and policies. This is how trust is earned.

United States | 11 February 2023SD Bullion charged me a cancellation fee for a lost money order. I was informed by the USPS today that they would re-issue the money order but too late as far as SD Bullion is concerned. They got their cancellaton fee yesterday so they are satisfied. If SD Bullion had simply canceled my order due to non payment, everything would have been fine. The fact that they charged me a cancelation fee for something that was clearly not my fault is the issue and is why I am recommending to my family and friends that they not do business with SD Bullion.To anyone who reads this review I would recommend JM BULLION as a superior alternative to SD BULLION. *Edit update* SD BULLION is claiming in their response that I never responded to a voice mail they left. I don't have voice mail on my phone so not true. They are also claiming that I never responded to an e-mail they sent regarding the cancellation, also not true as I immediately respond to any SD BULLION e-mails that are sent. I would again, recommend not doing business with SD BULLION and their rude aggressive customer service team.

United States | 11 February 2023Terrible experience. I tried SD Bullion after seeing a YT video. Placed an order and the payment cleared. Five days later the rep can't tell me when it will ship. I normally order through JM Bullion and I get a notice 8 hours after my order that the payment cleared and here is the tracking... and the item arrives in my hand 1 - 2 days later. The communication and shipment is terrible with SD Bullion. It's definitely cheaper, but you pay for what you get. Hopefully the item arrives in my hand by the 7 day mark or I'll be reaching out to SD & my CC company about cancelling the order.
