Company good at taking money and making “estimates “ of delivery. Bad at communicating and actually delivering. Well, I might get it next year.

If I could give 0 stars I would Despite the pandemic these people are beyond rude unprofessional and liars not only the store that I have purchased from but also who they claim to be Corporate but you will never speak to anybody that ever has the authority to do anything My daughter paid for a couch that not only took months to be delivered she was not told it was out if stock or on back order but finally months later went to deliver the couch they only had half of the coach although she paid for a full couch when they went to finally deliver the other half of the couch that My daughter paid for a couch that not only took months to be delivered she was not told it was not in stock or on back order but also when they finally delivered l the couch they only had half of the coach although she paid all of the money then when they went to finally deliver the other half of the couch they end up Messing up her order so bad that her delivery was scheduled to deliver a table not her other half of the Full couch she already originally paid for So then she ended up having to wait again for the real order to come in I called not only the store that sold her the couch But also their so called corporate number and all they are is customer service representatives claiming they do not have an actual corporate you can't help me I need to call the store l am not only saddened and disgusted by the service of Gardner White And the sad thing is I have a credit card through their service that I now will be cancelling because I am the one who embarrassingly told my daughter to buy furniture from them And was treated like trash and lied to on multiple occasion's My daughter had just moved into her new home and had no furniture to sit on as promised as paid for so many delivery dates took off of work to be there and never would show up Don't buy from them they are liars and their only there to collect your money with broken promises and I have proof

Do not do business with this company. Never have I experienced customer service like this in my life. Now I know why salesmen get such a bad wrap. Bought a furniture set back in April and was a nightmare from the beginning. Last minute to get told the couch was on back order and wasn’t coming with the rest of the pieces, ok stuff happens. The love seat came broken and wouldn’t recline right. But I couldn’t return it due to Covid and they couldn’t send a service rep due to Covid. So now I have no couch, nor an ETA of when it would be in and a broken love seat. Awesome. Finally they were clear to wend a service rep. At my house 10 minutes and then told no fix and they would have to replace it. Again no ETA on the new love seat. Couch shows up weeks later. Two weeks ago they call to schedule a delivery for the love seat. Yes the middle of October, and we started in April. Supposed to be delivered Tuesday. Tuesday comes and nothing. We call Tuesday night and are now told that this furniture is discontinued and can’t be delivered. So wait, you call me Monday for a Tuesday delivery, now Tuesday after a no call, no show you tell me you will not have this piece, ever?!??? We call Canton and speak with Jennifer Kemp “customer service manage” and are told just to come in and they will replace all the furniture since it’s all now discontinued and can’t be covered by the warranty. We go and speak to Eric Cherget “store manager”. He never once said sorry or anything. The customer service just continues to blossom. He personally shows us numerous sets. Never once said anything about price difference. We pick something out. Before we leave he tells us that he just needs to finalize everything and he will call us the next day. 4 days later and still no call. I have to spend hours of my time calling and getting directed to customer service and they tell me they will email Eric and he will call you. Nope, nothing. Now I have to drive to the store ( in a great mood) just to speak to this clown. I am now told the furniture we picked was way more money and they can’t exchange it. So instead of even offering the furniture at the price difference all they are doing to refunding my money. I am in sales and if I handled any customer this way I’d be fired and should be. Lie and lie. Runaround after runaround. Glad to see it’s not just me after reading these reviews. Sounds like this is the norm for this company. So sad. I’ve bought from Gardner White in the past but this company, from the web department, customer service department, sales department to the store manager is garbage. Stay clear of Canton especially. Eric shouldn’t even be working in the warehouse.

my recliner chair was on back order for 3 1/2 mos OK understand finally got the chair is was uncomfortable didn't like quality return within 7 days but they want to charge 25% restocking fee I don't want cash back I wantto apply money to a different chair more comfortable they said no restocking fee the end more customer service should want to work with customer to keep sale will not shop here again

When I purchased my set of furniture I was told 4-6 weeks of shipment which is fine by me but after weeks passing by and following up for ETA, it just keeps getting push back, and dates that they tell is not promised and this is ridiculous that I have to wait for 4-5 months and the fact that I have to follow up on them. If customers have to wait for this long there should be some type of discount accommodation given to customers or if your stock is out of stock don't even bother advertising it. I was given options to either cancel it or find different collections and when I went to the store a couple of days ago to look for what's in stock because I've waited too long, I was told by the salesperson they have ONLY 4-5 couch collections that are in stock (RIDICULOUS). Like how are you guys still in business! I also, purchased a lamp online and I looked at the status it said it was canceled no one even bothered reaching out to me about the order is canceled! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Bought some lamps from the store in Novi. Thought. I thing could go wrong with lamps but they came full of rust. Called the store and got exchange. No one came all day. We went to bed because we have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning only to hear excessive knocking at 11:30 at night. Opened the door to two delivery guys without masks asking to pick up the lamps. Never buying again.

This is the worst company ever to deal with!!! It started with our delivery that they said would be between 7-10pm and they did not show up until midnight!!! The product was damaged when it was delivered. First they sent a service man out to repair it only for him to tell me it can’t be repaired. They have scheduled 3 separate deliveries only for them to cancel. I have been going round and round with them for over 10 months now and still don’t have a good product. Worst customer service ever, I would never recommend them to anyone!

I need a phone call asap regarding a large purchase we made. I am sick and tired of the run around this is absolutely ridiculous. I have reached out to my sales person, I have reached out SEVERAL times to the store and get nothing but “mail box is full” and at the store level “leave a message and someone will get back with you”. I can’t even believe this is customer service, you people ought to be ashamed of yourself. Transaction 072940829 MY FURNITURE WAS BROKEN THE DAY OF DELIVERY, WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS RESOLVED. 2500.00 DOLLARS AND A BROKEN COUCH AND CHAIR? COME ON GARDNER WHITE! SHOULD I HAVE GONE ELSEWHERE? FIRST TIME BUYER WITH YOU, NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Still waiting for my incomplete order, received a mattress but did not receive a adjustable bed frame nor my mattress protection cover..what can I do with a mattress without a box spring or a adjustable frame base? I have tried several times to get in contact with Gardner White Southfield Michigan where they don't even answer the phone or they hang up on you when they find out my order number. The movers at Gardner-White also broke my banister. This has not been resolved and has been ever since September 12th 2020. Gardner-White took almost $1,000 for me so this is theft.

Horrible. They've taken our money and for months haven't produced the items we purchased. If that's not bad enough they are rude, refuse to cancel the order wanting to charge us for it and even delivered one piece with drivers not wearing masks! They only have 4.3 stars everywhere because they block bad reviews, delete them and have paid people and employees leave positive reviews too. They actually blocked me on Twitter hahaha.

I have nothing new to add its obvious that this is the way they conduct business. They tell you furniture is in stock next its on back order for months. There is no communication emails or phone calls go unanswered. Promises that never happen..I feel they dont take anything seriously because they have less competition.

I don’t know where to start but this place has the worst service ever. I wish Art Van was still around. My wife was online and was interested in a sale Gardner White was having 80 percent off on a real nice couch so we go to the Auburn hills location where all the hire ups with in the company was taking pictures and having a great time. While they were partying my wife and I were getting treated like crap. The couch we wanted the salesman said it was sold then took us to the clearance section to look at more furniture and then it hit us every single item that Gardner White posted for clearance was gone it was a scam to get customers in the store to buy other expensive merchandise. We went through 7 different sets of couches on the website and not one was in stock we were told once the item is purchased from clearance the customers take it home immediately. So while in the clearance section we asked the salesman to get a price on another couch and he did we decided to purchase it and what do you know we have to wait for it how is that possible when we were told we can buy the furniture in clearance and take it home immediately upon purchase. After that we went to the manager and he tells us to pick out any couch and he will take care of us so we do that guess what he lied my wife and I argued for three hours and finally we were taken care of and were able to order our couches for a decent price. My wife calls today to see where the couches are because we were supposed to receive them by now and we’re told November now because no one placed the order now again how is that possible if we paid for the merchandise in advance? WE WILL NEVER SHOP HERE EVER AGAIN I WOULD RATHER GO TO BOBS FURNITURE OR LOVES FURNITURE GARDNER WHITE TOU HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND YOU SCAM YOUR CUSTOMERS I HOPE YOU ARE NEXT TO GO OUT OF BUISNESS!!!!!!!!

I would give zero if I could. The furniture is very well built, but I have yet to receive my full order 3 months later and they keep giving me the run around saying that the order was closed because we paid in full and if I had not kept calling them then I would know nothing. One delivery they damaged the product, then the truck didn't have the product, then a no show, and each time they close the order saying that we have the product. If I could I would return the product I have and get a refund. Will never do business with them again. have left over 12 voice mails 5 text messages and 5 emails and no one ever calls me back. I had to call them every time. Hoping to get the product this Sunday.

PLEASE DONT WASTE your MONEY for any Products here! I bought Sectional (Couch) from here along with my all furniture. Obviously they recommend you to buy Purchase protection. Since we are spending 5 to 6 grands, we will be willing to buy protection. But, Is the money we spend for Protection is absolutely nothing and it is total WASTE. This is my 2nd experience with Gardner white, First time, it happened for my Mattress. This time it is happening for my Sectional(Couch). Protection supposed to be covered for 5 years. They are simply saying that they don’t cover bonded leather after 12 months. This is just 2 years old. The Protection company saying that they will cover only accidental damage and they don’t cover if bonded leather automatically comes out. This is absolutely nonsense. While buying, they said they will cover everything. If the leather automatically coming out, please guess the quality of the product how it is. The Customer service is very poor. What kind of logic it is if they cover only accidental damage and not natural damage. They supposed to be more responsible for the quality of the product than accidental incidents. The Representative was very Rude from Protection company and they don’t approve anything if you go for protection. Gardner-white never cares their Customers as well. PLEASE DONT WASTE your MONEY for any Products here!

I need to add to this because it's the end of September and the saga goes on... After emailing Rachel and Steve Tronstein who supposedly run the show, I was put in touch with Lewis Armstrong, the store's Customer Service Director. He put me in touch with Eric Cherget, the manager at the Canton store who actually hooked me up with a decent deal on replacement furniture. (We spent EVEN MORE than we did originally.) THAT ORDER WAS SUPPOSED TO COME IN IN MID-SEPTEMBER. NO SIGN OF IT, AND NEITHER LEWIS NOR ERIC WILL RETURN MY CALLS/TEXTS. DON'T KNOW IF I'LL EVER SEE MY FURNITURE AND NOT SURE I EVEN WANT IT. I DO WANT THE $4,000 OF MY MONEY THEY'VE BEEN HOLDING SINCE MARCH!!! ***** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GARDNER WHITE. ANYWHERE BUT GARDNER WHITE. ***** HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service. We've spent nearly $10k with them since the pandemic started (mainly because Art Van went out of business), and we're continually frustrated by the fact that they don't even TRY to provide good service. Our first order was screwed up (they were supposed to send us 6 chairs with our dining room table, and they only sent us 3 1/2. HOW DO YOU SEND A 1/2 CHAIR?) and it has gotten worse since. We ordered a living room set in May from the Canton store, and Sam Kennedy promised we'd have it by mid-June. He then proceeded to ignore my emails in mid/late June when communication went dark. I received a text message on June 24 (from someone?) indicating my order was on the way and would come in by the end of June. When that came and went, I finally got a hold of someone via text (after multiple tries) who said, "I don't know why you were told that... it's not coming until the middle of July...". Two emails to the CEO and MULTIPLE attempts to contact the store via phone, email, and text message, and still nothing. It's the middle of July and I can't get anyone to contact me back- let alone actually SIT on the furniture I was promised a month ago. Never again. Do yourself a favor- order on Amazon (or ANYWHERE else). You may not get to sit on the furniture before you buy it, but I guarantee you'll get better customer service. Pathetic!

Zero stars!! I have filed a story with fox 2 problem solvers. Everyone, I encourage you to do the same! Back ordered furniture for months that I have already paid in full for. I was supposed to get delivery that never showed 3 different times and am left with half a set of my old furniture bc I took the other half to the curb for trash to accommodate for delivery! No resolution, no money back and zero calls from corporate office back. Jennifer the manager at Novi laughed at me over the phone when discussing this with her. Please please share your stories with fox 2 problem solvers as well.

If I could give this no stars at all I would. I wish I never ordered from Gardner White. I ordered a new bedroom set for my son over 6 weeks ago, was told it was all in stock. Well here we are almost 7 weeks later with no furniture. I’ve been told 6 different times “sorry, it will be delivered next week”; but guess what- it still isn’t here. When you call you are on hold a minimum of 45 minutes, promised a call back, which you never get. Hands down worst customer service ever. Go anywhere other than Gardner White.

Last Sunday we went to the Brighton store and purchased a love seat and chair from Frannie. It was a good transaction and we were promised delivery on Tuesday between 8:30 and 11:30. I received a text at 2:00 SAYING THE DELIVERY WOULD BE BETWEEN 2:30 AND 5:30. At 6:00 I tried to call the store six times and finally got through. I was told that the delivery might occur at 9:30 or up to2:15 A.M. I went to the store and spoke with Frannie letting her know of my displeasure. She contacted someone that told her they would deliver it on Wed.Ay 8:00 P.M. I went home and at 10:00 P. M. a knock on the door brought a delivery truck with my furniture. Of course, at this time I didn't have my sons in law to help me carry the stuff in. They had spent most of the day waiting with me and had gone home. The delivery men were very courteous and offered to set up the furniture. They were very professional unlike the delivery scheduling dept. I would think that the company would have the sense and courtesy to call or text the customer to explain the problem. Because of this lack of professionalism, I doubt if i will ever purchase from Gardner -White again. I will also caution any family and friends from doing so also.

ordered furniture in june .they said it would be here middle of july.got called me end of august and said they had my sofa. told them to wait till they had loveseat and recliner.they said if they wait another customer will get it.so they deliver it.middle of september recliner comes in still no loveseat.say they will deliver it sundayand will call me that morning.no call. still no loveseat or recliner.im dissapointed to say the least. update i get up for work at3 in the morning at least they woke me up at 10;30 at night to tell me to reschedule
