United States | 25 July 2020I feel 1 is being too generous. Can not get through to anyone. It forces you to request a call back. I’ve requested 50 this week, received 3. The 3 people that called me back could not answer my questions, put me on hold, and hung up. I cancelled my entire order. I would highly advise against anyone ordering anything from them. This was the worst customer service experience of my life. Wrong charges. Partial deliveries. No answers. No help. I’m shocked that it is even possible to be this inept.

United States | 24 July 2020Gunther, our sales person, is beyond amazing and is not responsible for the low review. We purchased and paid in full in the beginning of June. We have 1/2 of our order. I have called the past 10 days. I am hung up on or told to leave a message without ever talking to a person. I have left 10 days worth of messages solely to get an update on my order. Not once have I been called back. Today the “manager” answered the phone. No ability to give an update, no ability to give me a corporate number and no ability to give me a time for her boss to call me back. The reason I needed a time is because I have 2 kiddos in various therapies and both my husband and I work odd hours in order to make sure our kids can attend their necessary therapies. It is 100% unacceptable to accept payment in full and than not be able to be contacted. We have bought from Gardner White in the past, so much that we just called our old sales rep (he moved stores) and told him to place our order instead of us doing so online. We did that so he would recieve credit for the sale. Again, Gunther has been amazing. The issue is the corporate office and extremely poor communication. We will be finding a new company to order from.

United States | 22 July 2020Purchased dining, living & bedroom furniture from the Taylor, MI location. Table leg rusty I thought it was food at first. Dining chair cushions are terribly thin and hard & began to seperate thread after less than a year of ownership: FASHN_C1680P-PTT-XXXX PUB TBL TOP - ROUND PUB TOP SAMMY CHERRY, & BASE WITH CHAIRS Sofa arms boards pop in and out and are hard, no real cushion used to pad properly, seat cushions (foam) is thin also, and wears very fast.

United States | 21 July 2020We were happy with the service (sales and notifications) until the movers arrived, we purchased a sectional couch and a bedroom set that were not in stock however we believe that we got them delivered to our home in a timely fashion (within four weeks). The people that delivered our furniture did not put it together properly, the drawers on the bed frame are NOT useable because the boards on the bed are blocking them (basically the bed frame was not assembled correctly) we tried making and easy modification after the movers left but the bed frame was falling apart. The movers left plastic wrapping all over the furniture, they left a mess inside and outside our home for us to clean up.... we felt one of the two guys was rude and when I went to the Gardner White store they said it is tough to find good workers in these times. This is very expensive furniture that we felt the price should have included a proper install however we are going to have to take the bed frame apart and assemble ourselves.

United States | 20 July 2020My first purchase experience at the Brighton Michigan Gardner White store proved to be the ABSOLUTELY WORST customer service experience of ALL TIME!! Special Order delivery delays! Delivered wrong item! Missing item from the delivery! Calls going repeatedly to vice mail! No return phone calls! It’s too bad there is not a “Zero” star category as that is what they deserve!!!!

United States | 18 July 2020It's amazing to see how many people have the same experience. In my opinion Gardner White has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have bought mattresses and end tables to experience missed deliveries as well as still not having items ordered in March to still not be delivered. COVID going on I have some tolerance for not being delivered, but all emails, phone calls, and even surveys asking for assistance... or even just communication has never been responded to. I have visited the store twice to just get a status. I was promised we would see our end tables two weeks ago. Still no calls saying when it's coming. Quick update from this July 17, 2020 post... two weeks later, still no missing furniture or contact from GW (July 31st)

United States | 13 July 2020Worst customer service experience ever. I ordered a chest of drawers in june. It was supposed to be delivered the following Saturday. No call from representatives or salesman to tell me anything. I called back and finally after a week I got through to a live person to tell me it's on backorder till August." No no one called me mfer" or I wouldn't be calling you. So I cancelled my order and waited 10 business days to get my money back and still NOTHING! They sure are quick to take your money though but you play HELL trying to get your money back. It's been a MONTH and still nothing I've called and talked to Multiple people now and still nothing has been resolved I'm about to call Fox 2 channel 7,4. And expose this company for the crap there doing. One pissed off customer!

United States | 12 July 2020Horrible service. Ordered dining table and they have the address wrong so they had to schedule another day. Then a pice was broke so they left the chairs and took the table back and said when they come back with it they will put the chairs and bench together. Well nope had to have them come again and they wouldn’t put the bench tighter because it was not on their list even though it was all bought together. Waiting in a couch from June 4th. Supposed to be today in the morning well that went and gone. Supposed to take off insurance for it for not putting it together Will see off.

United States | 11 July 2020My parents ordered a sofa last month, they haven't heard anything- they haven't gotten a single call, we've tried to call- we had each of our phones in the phone que. You get to caller 1 and it hangs up on you. Fraud.

United States | 10 July 2020WOW nice to see I am not alone in this Gardner White scandal. They are still selling merchandise they know they cannot deliver! This cannot be legal. I cancelled my order just now, I ordered a couch and ottoman on 3-11-20 today is 7-10-20. They promise my items will be delivered in two weeks....been hearing that every two weeks since March. Don't get caught up in this disastrous company. I have no idea how they have stayed in business and sure do miss Art Van!

United States | 10 July 2020I ordered furniture in April and still have not received it. Every time I call I get a voicemail and for 3 months now I’ve been waiting for a return call. I’ve sent emails and left messages and still no response. I went into the store 3 times now and each time I was told I was next in line and would get my furniture in two weeks. This same scenario has played out for two months now. I would cancel and get a refund but I have half my sectional which means I’d have to return it all. Customer service is extremely poor! I will never purchase anything from here again!

United States | 08 July 2020Have been trying to get through to their offices for the past eight (8) days but keep getting your recordings. Have left approximately twenty (22) left messages asking for a call back. I purchased a bedroom suite from Gardner-White (Southfield, MI) and the bed broke. I have a warranty on it. The Technician (Adam) came out on Thursday, June 25, 2020 and stated he would submit his report along with the photos and to contact Gardner-White if I didn't hear anything by Monday. I have serious back problems and have been without a bed since June 07, 2020 and would like some direction as to whom I need to speak with in order to have this issue resolved as quickly as possible. I can't even get a call back, let alone get my problem solved.

United States | 04 July 2020We bought furniture with a 5 day delivery date and were told that our furniture had been (SWOOPED) and delivered to someone else. There is no more stock and no word when or if they will ever recieve stock of our future. So, No delivery and no call to tell us this. We had to call to fide out that we were just left with an empty room after paying to have our old furniture removed. We had no idea that (swooping) was a common practice for Gardner White. Just because you buy it first and have a delivery date doesn't matter if someone else buys one after you and wants it delivered before you. You get screwed and no compensation. Weather or not you bought it first. They never tell you this. So always say you want your furniture asap or be prepaired to be very disappointed. And that is saying it kindly.

United States | 04 July 2020I paid over 2500 for a Queen size Serta hybrid mattress with a adjustable bed frame and also Two full size mattress, box springs and frames. They delivered the Queen bed at 11pm at night and then told me the full bees would be delivered when they were in stock by the end of the week. I did not receive the full beds for two additional weeks. I had to call to follow up on the full beds. Then when the queen bed was delivered. The power box to the adjustable frame did not work and I had to wait two days for them to have it in store and go to pick it up. Then the 140 mattress cover I purchased ripped not even a week after I got it. They told me to bring the old one in and they would exchange it but the next day the store was closed due to the shut down if COVID. Then after having the bed for 3 weeks the adjustable frame stopped working again. Then I got on line and see not even a week after my purchase that they are selling the bed I just bought as a king for the same price as king. When I had asked the salesman about king prices he said that it would cost over 500 more. Now I have been trying to get in touch with some in regards to the 180 sleep guarantee because I am not happy with my mattress or the adjustable frame and want to exchange and get a king size bed or at least get the service for my bed done sewing I paid for a warranty and the mattress protection in case I was not happy with the bed but no one answers and it will tell me what number caller I am and then once it reaches me I’m sent to leave a message and I have literally called and contacted the service department online with no luck at all. I did not pay this much money for one bed in order to have problems with the mattress, frame and bed covers! This is ridiculous and some one needs to contact me!

United States | 29 June 2020I had a great experience as soon as I walked in employee helped me find a matress set in my price range too. Ann was very friendly and easy to talk to. I found two beds i liked but the one I really wanted was $100 more. After she made sure they both were in stock bc I didn't wanna have to wait. I still couldn't decide & told her I was gonna talk it over with my dad. She introduced me to Susan in case she wasn't there when I got back. Susan was even more helpful I talked to her & she said the matress set comes with a free TV or $75 MasterCard. But bc I wanted the $100 more matress she said they would just take $75 off instead of giving me the MasterCard I was shocked and excited. So I ended up getting the Halliday Matress Set, with boxspring, & matress protector must have important. The only thing I didn't Like is the delivery guys got here at 11PM which is way too late for me I didn't know it would be like that. They were very nice & working hard. But it was so Late I just didn't have it in me to take plastic off both, put the protector one then all the sheets pillows.

The salesmen was a totally touch he asked if we wanted financed we explained we just had a baby didn't want another bill he acted as if we were wasting his time told us they had nothing in our price range left us to Rome the store alone in the used mattress area. Very bad experience 😕
