United States | 26 June 2020Purchased mattress 5/2019. Placed claim on April 6, 2020 the mattress sunk in middle of new mattress. Made claim over phone and text message photo's of mattress. Was informed we would be contacted when coronavirus epidemic was over. We have left numerous messages on voicemail of gardner white on hayes in Macomb, mi it's now June 25,2020 still no response. The person who bought the $900.00 mattress is a 91 year old who cannot use the mattress.

United States | 16 June 2020I ordered a dining room set in Dec , it took months to get the table and over 6 month later still do not have all my chairs. I ordered 4 recieved only one. I was told I would receive them the first week of April and then the Coronavirus virus hit , I texted them in May and was told they would be delivered the last of May or first week of June. still no chairs ! Text them again and was told they would be delivered the 3rd week of June , still no chairs, called them today and now told the end of August, no matter, I should not have to wait almost a year to complete my dining room, I believe the are trying to stall me by telling me they are to be delivered every week , even with the Coronavirus my chairs should have been ready to deliver after , since they were to be delivered in April , I believe they gave my chairs to someone else and I have been waiting longer ! I will never again buy from Gardner White ! I do not recommend them to anyone !!

United States | 14 June 2020After making my online purchase and receiving email confirmation, no one contacted me within a few hours (as indicated by the chat representative) concerning delivery. I called the number on my "Thank you for your order!" email several times, got no answer and left my call back number several times. No one called me back. I then emailed and that is when I got the rudest replies I have ever received from a business. The person refused to provide their name, suggested several times that I just cancel my order, lied and told me that the funds were only pending from my bank when I called and confirmed the withdrawal, lied and told me that my address on my card did not match my shipping address (which my financial institution also confirmed) and refused to provide my order number (omitted from the emails) at first request. I submitted a complaint via Facebook and a person named Carrie called me who was extremely rude and unconcerned about Customer Satisfaction. She also just wanted to "cancel the order." I also emailed Lynn who was just as rude. I have never seen emails from people so rude and so unconcerned about the company's revenue that they work for nor the customer's experience. I then went into the Canton Store to "prove my identity" (which defeats the purpose of an online order) and spoke with Sam Kennedy who told me that the bedroom set I ordered online was on backorder with no estimated shipping date. Why this was not communicated to me during the approximate 20 emails back and forth before wasting my time going into the store is beyond me. Long story short..I canceled the order, requested a refund, and Gardner-White lost a sale and a customer.

United States | 13 June 2020I’ve tried calling for days to speak with someone regarding a warranty issue. No calls back, no one answers the phone, no one answer emails. Terrible service, I have no idea how you stay in business. I’m going to do everything I can to reach Steve Tracy or his daughter even if I have to go out to Auburn Hills. If I can’t find them their, then I’ll just have to track them down so I can talk with them, I have no idea how you stay in business. Maybe I’ll stage a protest in front of your Macomb store on how you treat a certain group of people, maybe this will get the attention of the media. I sure hope someone gets their s....t together before I really get pissed off.

United States | 11 June 2020I ordered a mattress 2 weeks ago. Yesterday as I was waiting for a call, text, email something to inform me the waiting window, I did not receive anything. While waiting hours and hours and hours allllllllllllllllll day at 11:30 pm they finally dropped off my mattress. Who in the hell drops off a mattress at 11:30 at night?! What if I was 70/80 years old, then what?!?!?!?!? How horrible!!

United States | 09 June 2020Gardner White is a fraudulent company! Do not order from them. I gave the salesperson permission to authorize a $600 deposit on my account for my furnitur, that would be delivered mid July. I checked my account and the sales man from 14 mile location in Warren, MI authorized $1598.98 on my credit card. They took my money without my permission. I also placed an online order 3 weeks ago and haven’t received my products either. I have called over 20 times and left over 20 voicemails. I can’t get through to any department all of a sudden. I still haven’t received a call back since Friday. Avoid this company by all means necessary.

United States | 02 June 2020Very disappointed with Gardner white customer service, they do not stand behind quality of their products. I furnished my entire house with high end furniture from Gardner White, Auburn Hills, spent thousands of dollars on couches, three bed sets with mattresses and dining sets, etc. Dining set - poor assembly, chair armrests were poorly assembled and/or are poor quality wobbles. When I called them, they said it can’t be fixed. Leather Couch - I paid big bucks for this set. When you buy leather couch, you hope to get many years out of it. Year 5- leather match is starting to peel off from all three pieces of couch, poor material used on such an expensive set. When I called, I got the same typical answer from them, they can’t do anything to help me- not even send someone to look at it to repair it. I would never ever buy furniture from Gardner white again nor will I ever recommend or advice anyone to buy furniture from them. Sincerely, Anil Bilimoria.

I was informed after they took my money that the item is actually unavailable for a month and on lay-away. I have sent two emails requesting they cancel my order and have received no replies. Calling is no better as they just put you on a never-ending hold pattern. Obviously a place that will do everything to get your money and nothing to actually help in any way. Really disappointed.

United States | 28 May 2020Ordered a dinning room table online. Went to pick it up, 45 minutes away, the table was damaged so we took home the chairs. Table was delivered, not in a box, without the legs and no directions for assembly. I have been on the phone since 10:00am trying to figure this all our, it is now 3:30pm. Keep getting hung up on and transferred. No call back. I am so disappointed. I don't recommend.

United States | 24 May 2020Not very happy right now ordered a queen-size mattress with a base and there was supposed to be another base that raises the bed that I didn't get at all. Also was supposed to get a TV that says ships from Best buy. I hope that happens, but, the base I am sure I will never see. Nothing more frustrating then not getting what you ordered 6 days later still no TV!

United States | 30 April 2020The customer service I received on my recent order was atrocious beyond articulation. My complaint to Gardner White: I ordered a recliner, full size mattress, and bed frame online. I ordered a box spring over the phone because I couldn't find the option for it online. The sales rep assured me everything would be delivered the following Monday. That Monday came around and the mattress was not delivered. I was then told (after I called) that the mattress would ship separately from a different vendor and would arrive several days later than Monday, after I'd already moved out my old bed. This critical fact was not communicated in the initial conversation. Why?? No forethought on your end. Then I discover that the sales rep sold me a QUEEN sized box spring despite me ordering a full sized mattress. Utter carelessness on his part. I ended up stuck with a box spring too large for my bed, which you wouldn't exchange/return for me because of the statewide lock-down, and it was taking up my entire kitchen. Now I'm also stuck without a mattress for several days. In the meantime, I order an ADDITIONAL box spring, paid for out of pocket, and was given a delivery date. When that day came around, nothing was delivered. I contacted YOU again only to find out that the box spring sold to me was OUT OF STOCK. Why wasn't that determined before it was sold to me? I then reached out and spoke with another rep who ordered the full size box spring AGAIN and assured me it would be delivered the next day. Nothing was delivered AGAIN and i was NOT contacted. This is gross incompetence, mismanagement, lack of communication, and HORRENDOUS customer service. Not only did you screw up my original order, sticking me with products I can't use or return, passing me around from sales rep to sales rep, (all incompetent), but you also gas-lighted me repeatedly about "deliveries" forcing me to wait around for them and then NOT reaching out to communicate that something had gone wrong and that the product wouldn't be delivered. I had to REACH OUT TO YOU every time after the fact to figure out what was going on. I have no idea what sort of leadership you have in place over your online sales and delivery, but their actions have resulted in a team that is grossly incompetent, unprofessional, and that lacks basic communication and customer service skills. Where exactly is the integrity in your operation? My issue was NEVER RESOLVED. I ended up having to order a box spring from WALMART because your people could not manage to send me a box spring to complete my order, one of the most basic products and services you claim to offer. This is a nightmare. I have never been treated so poorly by an established company that claims to treat their customers like family. I was totally disregarded and dismissed on every account and left to resolve your mess myself through another RELIABLE company. The statewide lock-down is no excuse for the way you handled this situation. If that was the case then you shouldn't be open for business at all during it. This was my first and last experience doing business with Gardner White.

EACH MATTRESS HAD A PROBLEM AND THE LAST ONE HAD A ODOR LIKE IT HAD BEEN SITTING IN A WAREHOUSE A LONG TIME. I CALLED THE STORE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SMELL WOULD GO AWAY. I HAVE SPRAYED THE MATTRESS WITH LYSOL AND PUT FABRIC SHEETS UNDER THE SHEETS WHICH DID NOT TAKE AWAY THE SMELL. I AM NOW IN OVER $4000 IN DEBT TRYING TO FIND A QUALITY MATTRESS TO SLEEP ON. I WANT YOU TO COME AND GET THE MATTRESS AND THE ADJUSTABLE FRAME WHICH I WAS TOLD IT WORKS ANY MATTRESS AND IT DOES NOT. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I HAVE A SERIOUS MEDICAL PROBLEM AND NONE OF THE QUALITY OF YOUR MATTRESSES HAVE WORKED FOR ME. FROM YOUR MEDIUM TO THE TOP OF THE DID NOT WORK FOR ME.

United States | 12 March 2020We purchased CHANNING-2PC-KIT Channing Microfiber Sectional with Chaise on the Right for $1,001.98 with a $277.76 discount. Shipping was $99 and tax was $59.76. We purchased the sectional January 27th 2019. The reason for a 1 star review is the sectional has broken twice since we purchased it. Both times the seats wooden support piece on the same section has broken. The first time it broke was September 2019. This break was under warranty so they came out and took the broken section to their warehouse for repair. It took about a month for us to get it back. The second break was on March 11th 2020. It is the same support piece that broke on the same section. Because it is out of the manufactured warranty they will not repair. Even though this is the same piece they supposedly repaired in September 2019. I am writing this review to hopefully inform users about the lack of longevity of Gardner White products and the unsatisfactory repairs done by their service department. To elaborate a bit about ourselves and how we use this couch. My wife and I are not significantly heavy individuals (I am 200lbs she is 150lbs). Our primary usage for the couch is watching tv, entertaining friends, and taking naps.

United States | 07 March 2020Former employee...First off I'll start by saying they dont DRUG TEST at all. Big fraction of their drivers are high off pills and drunk. I was a driver for 4 years here and smoked everyday on gardner white trucks. The managers knew about me smoking too. I failed 2 drug tests and they still let me stay. Some of the drivers/helpers will steal from your house too, I personally saw people steal out of houses. They fired me out of nowhere with a terrible excuse. Waited a month or so to fix my couch, kept on giving me the run around and was just keeping it sitting (had to ask a friend from shop about the status). DO NOT BUY FROM HERE, cheap quality, over priced and poor customer service. The managers their are terrible, they are just former drivers that are only educated on driving basically. If you shop here just remember this comment and I TOLD YOU SO. TERRIBLE CHOICE. Try Bob's furniture or something.

I had it for four years, kept it covered at all times. It formed large gapping holes. They sent over a man to appease me. Nothing came from it. I received an email stating that it was not part of their contract.

United States | 14 February 2020The first guys who delivered did not put the bed frame together right. I had to go into the store to ask for people to come back, which they did so that was good. However, within a few months, 2 of the stabilizers of the bed frame fell off. I am 170lbs sleeping in it by myself so not the most sturdy / best quality.
