Games over Gardner Van...I mean Art White... I mean you Sleeze bag liars. My first and last experience and purchase with this company. COVID-19 excuse is disgusting on why items are BACK ORDERED. Buy a set and get one piece. Have little choice but to wait for rest whenever. I’m absolutely enraged after reading others are being treated so rudely by customer service. Obviously the losers from Out of business Art Van found new jobs at Gardner White.

I am so disappointed with how disreputable they have become I understand covid has caused major problems but in my opinion they are flat out Liars beware and be careful bate and switch a foot with delivery I order furniture was told I would get it in july I rec 1 pcs of my grouping in September an am being told that the balance might not come until dec I paid in full and was told it was available now all they do is blame covid 19 for not being upfront and honest I will never trust gardner white again Buyer beware in my opinion from personal experience You can order it You can Pay for it but once they have your money you probably won't get it until next year Then they get irritated with for you for wanting to know why this is happening like this

United States | 05 September 2020On August 18th we purchased a mattress and adjustable base, as well as a three piece sectional. August 25th I received a call that the base and mattress would be delivered. In an effort to minimize the amount of time someone would be inside of our home, we decided to carry our old mattress and box spring down a fight of stairs. Prior to doing so, I called to confirm we would in fact be receiving a base and mattress and was told yes. At 11pm delivery shows up with only a mattress, and I was told the base is on “back order”. The next morning it took me FOUR HOURS to actually speak to a human. After 4 hours I was told there are 26 bases in the warehouse and that they in fact are not on back order and delivery was set up for the following day. I also spoke with Nathan, the manager, who didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously at all. He stated he would call me and offer me compensation once everything was delivered and set. August 27 base gets delivered and a sync cord is missing. I once again had to call several times to only be told that the drivers did not notate there was any items missing. Pretty disappointing considering I had given both men a fairly generous tip. August 28 they deliver the wrong sync cord. Again, nobody called and it’s impossible to speak to anyone so after waiting 2 days, on September 1, I went to the store where I was greeted with the rudest so-called manager Tamika. Nathan was not in and I was told he would contact me. September 2 another attempt to deliver the correct cord and the drivers had the wrong one, yet AGAIN. Here we are September 4 and I still have no cord, no phone call from any manager and no resolution or compensation that I was promised. I do not know how this store is even in business between the rude customer service representatives and lack of communication to their customers.

United States | 01 September 2020When it comes to selling the furniture they are awesome! When it comes to furniture care/ warrantly their system sucks!!!! The have Furniture Care Protection as their warrantly company which has the worst ratings!!! Also, Gardner white took 6-8months to follow up on my claim with this FCP company to actually let me know that they cannot repair the damage? Very very bad customer experience when it comes to warrantly I would give a zero if possible for warranty!!

United States | 01 September 2020March 11, 2020 purchased a full size mattress set for $1,482.02. By July 2020 it was lumpy & miserable to sleep on. Three service calls was made, they came out only on the third appointment. Gave the run around & promises not kept. September 1, 2020, still have lumpy mattress after service saw what a mess it is. Called, was told to call service company. RUN THE OTHER WAY FROM GARDNER WHITE!!!

United States | 31 August 2020Bought two leather couches about 4 1/2 years ago. Payed for an expensive couches because I thought they were better quality and also payed for their warranty. Kept up with the couch upkeep with the leather treatment they gave me. The couches started pealing about a 2 months ago and now the couches look horrible. Called customer service to see if I’m still under warranty. Customer service was horrible, they kept me on several long holds and eventually said they just have to call me back because they’re just too busy right now. They never called me back and I had to call them back several times to get an answer. They eventually told me I’m no longer under warranty and I’m basically SOL. They gave me no resolution such as perhaps a couch repair and were very rude to me. I will NEVER shop at this place again because of their poor quality products and rude customer service. I feel like I just wasted my money and these couches.

United States | 29 August 2020We had a mattress with a 20 year warranty. The mattress wore unevenly and had stitching come out. Causing it to be lopsided. I filed a claim and noone ever called me back. Mk ths went by. I called the store and they sent someone out. I was supposed to hear back un a few days and never did. I called the store and found out They denied the claim on a lopsided mattress because of a stain on top that happened AFTER I filed the complaint and sent pictures to their claim department. In the long run. That denial will cost them big because I wont step foot in their store again.

United States | 19 August 2020I went to the Warren, Mi. (Groesbeck & 8mi.) location because of past quality. I was prepared to spend a few thousand dollars, wanting a bedroom set AND a living room set. However, I browsed over a half hour and no one asked to assist me, but more importantly, no one even spoke or acknowledge my preaence. Yet the men who entered the store were acknowledged and friendly conversation. I did ask a salesman if I can speak with a manager, but was told there's only a sales manager, looking around as if he could not locate, so I just left. But only after I let the gentlemen know my concerns, which included him as well, who had passed me twice. Although he apologized, even giving an EXCUSE of being short staffed, but my thoughts, why would I spend my money where I feel disrespected and ignored.

Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the Ann Arbor District Manager Mark not the corporate office Manager Lewis Armstrong. Its been 11 months later and still No call back nor was I refunded all my money back for the damages. Yet waiting for replacements and maintenance to my purchases in CASH $15,000 which helped that store hit the highsales that month on their Grand Opening week. I have returned a gift certificate they sent with no amount on it and was praised and promisedgreat service with ono on one with Mark. Also sent emails with photos of damages to back my claim. I've continued to be patient and respectful in hopes to have it all resolved and go back to a stress free life. I have even written a Great review about the ones mentioned above. Yet they still haven't been recognized. I even wrote i would follow up with their staff. Most of the office staff have quit do to the unprofessional customer service towards their customers. God willing this will get noticed and get a call to resolve these issues and post a better review next time. Thank You

United States | 04 August 2020If I could give the Gardner White in Warren (on 14 mile Rd) 0 stars I would! We ordered furniture in April, never received. We could never reach anyone at the location or corporate office, so we went into the store. Was told that the furniture was on back order, but they could have another set, similar but more money, delivered by Monday. We agreed and quickly found out that only the sofa would be delivered, but Vince convinced us that the loveseat would be delivered for sure within 2 weeks. We paid additional $$$ and went on our way. Sofa was delivered as told, we never received the love seat. Went in for a refund almost a month ago and we are still waiting on the refund. Just why? The company customer service is horrible, and very unprofessional. Texting with a manager should never be a form of communication when you have a business like this one. However, the only way to speak with someone is through requesting a call back (THEY NEVER CALL BACK), or texting. She texted me or night at almost 10pm! And yes, I have a record of everything I have stated. Currently, thinking of an alternative method through the courts just to receive a refund for something we never received over a month ago. NEVER PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!

United States | 02 August 2020Horrible Mattress Buying Experience! I purchased two mattresses and foundations. On delivery day only the mattresses arrived. The foundations had not been attached to the delivery order. One of the mattresses also had a hole in it. After 4 hours, I was able to finally speak to a customer service agent. She told me that the foundations would be delivered the next day but she would have to get back to me about the replacement mattresses. The next day, no notification of delivery arrived so I decided to call the store as soon as it opened. After 5 hours of unanswered phone calls, I drove into the store. I was told the warehouse had canceled the delivery. I was assured that the foundations and replacement mattress would be delivered the next day. The following day the foundations were delivered but no replacement mattresses. I again had to drive to the store because no one was answering the phones. I was told someone at corporate had canceled the mattress and now it was on backorder. I asked to speak to the general manager but he refused and sent a customer service desk worker to say he would call me back another day. At this point, I did not believe that a mattress would be delivered. I asked for a discount on the damaged mattress. Buyer beware!

United States | 31 July 2020Awful experience with this company. I ordered a bed and they told me it will be delivered "in 10 days". It's been 2 months and I still haven't received it. I try calling them and they don't answer. No communication. No customer support. Awful everything. I will generally give a 5 star review if the company simply does the bare minimum and I try to overlook small issues that is usually not the company's fault to begin with. In this case, GW has been irresponsible and appears to be mismanaged by how poorly they have treated me despite already paying for the product. It's truly a shame.

United States | 29 July 2020The customer service has been absolutely terrible to deal with regarding a sectional we purchased back in May. They told us it was backordered and it would be delivered at the end of June. We understood given the circumstances. The end of June came and went. We called and they scheduled delivery 3 days later. 5 minutes before they arrived, the driver called to inform us that he had forgotten to mention that he only had half of our sectional. Very annoyed by this we called and were informed the other piece was delayed until the end of July. Upon visiting the location we purchased the couch from we were basically laughed at for suggesting they swap out our sectional for one of a similar price. We had gotten a really good deal and were informed there was nothing even close to that price. So after 45 minutes they gave us 75.99$ off and said we would get the rest in the second week of august. We then got a call today which is what spurred writing this review, that we would have to wait until the end of September now to get the rest of our couch. When asked what they could do they told us to wait. This is just unacceptable, why keep having all these sales in stores if you can't even fulfill the orders from 3 months ago.

United States | 28 July 2020Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered online and when they called to verify, we were told part of the order was in-house and she would check on delivery options. No answer for 3 days. Calls more than 20 times to get the transaction sorted, our phone calls were not being answered, just an ornate answering/callback/voicemail system. The two times we connected with someone, they had no idea about our order or any stock information. VERY SAD! WHY IS THIS HOW YOU CHOOSE TO TREAT CUSTOMERS AND STILL EXPECT THEM TO BUY ANYTHING FROM GARDNER-WHITE. So, we were looking at buying about $3000 worth of furniture, but, it has taken since July 23rd just to get an email answer and zero answers on the same furniture in clearance. We were willing to come down, purchase and pick up If someone would tell us what you actually have....this has been a very unpleasant experience with little care from your staff as to whether you are either interested in selling us furniture. Very sad and I'm not interested in doing your legwork on this failed sale. So, it looks like we are on our way to Value City...they answer their phone, were very happy to help and gain our sale even though our first choice was the Benni, but, your company has made it cleat that you are not interested in our business. With these customer avoidance actions we experienced, we can not ever see us entertaining purchasing from Gardner White, your team treated us like crap. Yes, you lost this sale, our business and my families business all because you can't answer the phone nor be helpful or know what your stock is... Extremely upset and disgusted, David M. Sovis
