United States | 16 December 2020Same as other customers have recently stated. Ordered a couch in July, still have not received it. Never get a phone call, e-mail or any communication unless its a solicitation. No one will help, no natter who I call. My sales guy e-mailed management a few weeks ago, still no response for either of us. I believe when Art Van went out of business they took advantage and made a cash grab with no intentions of delivering. They will be the next to go out of business.

United States | 14 December 2020Can't rate, very disappointed. We are in the same situation as many customers. Paid in full for furniture in August. Got couch, still waiting on 2 chairs. Got the run around every time we call. Sales guy wouldn't call back. Now they are saying end of December, January. I wish I would of read all the reviews before hand. We should all bring lawsuit against them

United States | 14 December 2020I'm very unhappy about the stores sales woman who misinformed us about $100 warranty that we had to pay telling us that we will get that money back in after 1 year however when we called to inquire about it apparently that was after four years so I don't trust the stores sells people they do not do a good job explaining things and I'm not recommending the store

United States | 13 December 2020I ordered a queen sized bedroom set and 2 queen sized mattress sets back in Oct during the "next day free delivery". I was told by the sales lady in Brighton the bedroom set would be delivered within a week and a half. The mattresses were delivered in 2 days, by the way firm means hard as a rock you will wake up in pain every morning. No bedroom set arrived, no call to explain why. I called the store to be told it will be delivered next weekend. Next weekend came and went, no call to explain why. I call the store again, I'm told it will be delivered next weekend. Next weekend comes and goes, no call to explain why. I use the online chat, They claim they will contact the store and have them call me, no call. Again I contact the online chat, get the run around again. Then I get a text mid Dec. stating it will be delivered by the end of the month. I again call the store stating that is unacceptable I expect compensation for waiting. Nope just keep waiting. I've asked for a better bedroom set that is in stock to be delivered, nope. One the bikes or TV's they give away with purchase, nope. I tell them fine then come pick up the 2 mattress sets and refund my credit card, nope. I said fine I'll stand outside your store and tell everyone coming and going my story. I'm told you have that right but it's private property and the police will be called on me. Called cooperate still waiting for a call back, I'll hold my breath I'm sure they are right on it. bait and switch doesn't even come close to describing this company, they bait and leave you out to dry. I too would have given 0 stars if it was an option.

United States | 12 December 2020I agree with the one star customers. The ones that after 3 months getting partial orders this is the ridiculous. I guess the orders people buying now is for Christmas 2021. I am done with Gardner-White and will not be doing with them anymore. You go through all this and all they say is your order is coming don't know when. Usually business will try to do something to please their customers.

United States | 02 December 2020Beware. Bait and switch going on here. Promotions of 60 months, same as cash. Became 12 months and they snuck in interest, which they are arguing about. Offer free delivery. Only free if you want the furniture left on your porch. You pay an extra $100 for "white glove" which is moving the furniture in your house and assembling it (isn't this what delivery used to mean?). Next day delivery? That doesn't happen either, which I can understand, but to wait 10-12 weeks and to be charged interest as a "thank you" for waiting? Yes, let the buyer beware here. All the promotions are nothing more than a bait and switch. I have called Customer Service 4 times. 3 times, they promised to call back. They never did. They blamed the billing error of the sales person, but refused to address or fix the error. They finally agreed to deduct the cost of the interest off of the next bill, but the rep was rude and condescending. This has less to do with the money and more to do with correcting the error. Yet, as a customer, I was not valued in the slightest. I was a long time Art Van customer. When they closed, I decided to give Gardner White a try. This was the first and last time.

It didn't show and the online sales rep was rude, uninformed, unpoligetic and completely unhelpful! His name is Trent Carter. Stay away from him! Needless to say I've canceled my order.

United States | 29 November 2020I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I am so sick of this company. Gardner white this is my first and last time ordering anything from you all...I ordered a full bedroom set in August and here we are 3days before 12/1 and I am still living with and incomplete set. I understand this Pandemic has slowed the things down but I just don’t think waiting almost 4 months for some furniture is good business. I have gotten the run around about my delivery, and items piece by piece ever since October. My sister and I moved out a week a part in September and her furniture was from Bobs on back order as well BUT it came in October. Like they said....GW shouldn’t tell ppl estimated dates if you don’t really know. All of the complaints are the same. Btw the delivery ppl scratched and dented my nightstand and didn’t even install all my knobs on. I’m just so tired it’s a inconvenience of my day to leave work early to come let them in for piece by piece. WHERE IS MY BED AND NEW NIGHTSTAND!!!

And the protection plan what ever they recommend its useless and full waste of money. When I claim for my sectional they simply said manufacturers stopped their parts so they cannot do anything... So, please dont buy anything from this idiotic place.

United States | 25 November 2020Absolutely horrible experience. I wish I didn’t have to even give them a single star because they deserve zero. Do not buy!! I got a gardener white credit card and bought $4000 of furniture less than a year and a half ago. I even spent the money and bought the extended care plan that was sold to me by the salesman. My $1100 couch completely fell apart and broke within 18 months. The frame snapped and there are springs poking out everywhere underneath. The couch is not heavily used and this should not have happened. I have been dealing with the FURNITURE CARE PROGRAM which GW pitched me and sold me guaranteeing THEIR product. It has now been 4.5 months since requesting service on my couch. It took 29 days for a service man to even come look at the couch. He said it was t worth fixing but he would report it. I got notified 3 weeks later by email that they would order the parts necessary and have them delivered to my hone in 4-6 weeks. That was September 3rd-it is now Nov 24 th and 12 weeks have passed with nothing. I have called FCP several times. They never have an answer or update they always say they will look into it and call me back. I’ve yet to ever receive a call back. I looked online and this is standard operating procedure for them. They have dozens and dozens of complaints lodged against them and their BBB rating is a 1.05 out of 5. This is who Gardener White trusts and guarantees their quality and customer service to. After months of frustration and getting nowhere but following the protocol I reached out to gardener white to see if they would hopefully make it right. They refused. They said because it was more than a year they couldn’t do anything. It was a brick wall. Here I am with an useable couch and a credit line which I’d rather burn than ever use again. I’m a father and husband of a young family and buying a new furniture set isn’t a small deal or something I can do regularly. This was terrible and disappointing and I can’t warn anyone enough about how they treat their customers.

United States | 24 November 2020I had bought 2 chairs from White's Furniture.. I was not made aware of buying an extended warranty until a week later when their repairman came to make an adjustment. When I called to inquire phone calls were not returned. After the 3rd call I was told it was too late to get an extended warranty. I then spoke with Mr. White who said it could not be done and he was surprised that his top salesperson never discussed it. He said extended warranty would have to be day of sale. That was not true as I checked with the company that sells the extended warranties. I told him I would put on social media my interactions with him and his staff. He said that I was threatening him with this review and I responded I was not and that it would be an honest review of my what I experienced . He then put me on speaker and had a chuckle with staff that I heard when telling him about reviews I would complete. The worse part was that he said he would reprimand the repairman who was just trying to be helpful. Very poor customer service except for their repairman, Josh.

United States | 21 November 2020Ordered a chair on 10/3. Was told delivery would be end or Oct/beginning of Nov. I called on 11/5 and was told I would be contacted when delivery was ready. I called back on 11/16 and was told she would email manufacture and get back with me tommorrow. I called again on 11/19 and was told manufacturer is not making chair!?! REALLY! What poor customer service! Will not shop GW again!

United States | 19 November 2020Service and delivery unprofessional!! I purchased, mattress/ box spring (king). Gardener White furniture, gave me a delivery date two days later. I arrived late home for the delivery, I was told by Gardener white we don't deliver in Detroit after 5pm. Now my delivery date is for Sunday November 15, 2020. I confirmed my appointment time by email and text, no one called me. I called G.W. at 1pm 11/15. I was told I had a window time between 1pm and 4pm. No call/no show. I called G.W. again, at 4:30, I was told the delivery people were running behind. G.W. told me the delivery driver, should be at your home between 6pm and 6:40, again no call/no show. (Remember G. W. told me we don't deliver to Detroit after 5pm) I felt at this time the delivery wasn't going to take place! I didn't get a delivery on 11/15. I went into G.W. and cancelled my order on 11/16. I am very displeased with the way G.W handled this!

United States | 19 November 2020Ordered two couches and two end tables August 15 was told 3-4 weeks. In 3.5 weeks I received a call that delivery was coming. Only the two end tables were delivered. The date for the couches continues to get pushed back. I get the run around every single time I call or text. My sales person will not return my calls and my frustration level has peaked. I’ve been given no options, no timeline, and they have a huge chunk of my cash. Do not shop there.

United States | 15 November 2020Went to purchase furniture was told set would come in about 10 days rec'd Couch used a floor model said loveseat about a week that was 9/1/20 Sept passed then told next week that came and went then told end of Oct that came and went then told 11/1/20 that came and went I return to the store on the 5th was told the 15th well thats a Sunday they said maybe 16th I told the lady I want a refund mind you I paid Cash they said well you will have to wait 2 weeks to get a check refund still have not seen the money, Go somewhere else they say everybody is on backorder because of Covid So Not True I had a new set in my home in 4 days of purchase, been going there for 10 years Never Again Please Go Somewhere else

I financed a couch with a 12 month promotional and paid it off the day before it was due and apparently that isn’t good enough because I am now charged $202 for interest because it wasn’t paid on 9/3 when my payment isn’t due until 9/10. I spoke to finance customer service and they were no help besides telling me I’m out of luck and have to pay it regardless.

United States | 13 November 2020OK so this might be long it might be short But I will soon enough get to the point We ordered our furniture We didn't wanna wait so we got something that was in stock we ordered it and then was told it was on back order Then the pandemic happened and was told due to the pandemic we'd have to wait Finally after several months of waiting we got our stuff the tables were all scratched up The one lamp shade was beat to hell The coffee table and to end tables were all scratched Has tears all over the bottom of it but you don't see the bottom so no big deal The loveseat Is just horrible and uncomfortable though reclining mechanisms are gumed up We tried to get ahold of them after a month of waiting they emailed us back and said they would be in contacts still have heard nothing

United States | 08 November 2020From the customer service to the delivery was absolutely horrible..I called the store multiple times just to be put on hold for 45 minutes and then having to leave a voicemail. I never received a call back. Then I had to physically walk into the store and talk to the customer service team, waited for another half hour just to be told o sorry the system went down. Was promised to be contacted and never was. Finally the delivery date was posted for a Saturday, ( been waiting for 4 months, to receive) I accepted the delivery window slotted time not only did the driver call and tell me he couldn’t find the address on google maps but he promised my parents and I he would be showing up a half hour late. Driver never showed! Absolutely in utter disgust with Gardner White in Novi MI. Horrible customer service.

United States | 01 November 2020I had to give one star! Gardner White Corp is a scam business. Take your money and you receive poor customer service. I paid in full for a bed and dresser..matching. I receive two different colors. Trying to get them to correct and replace. Can everything be on back order? What's in the Auburn Hills warehouse. Oh try calling and get the run a round. This began in May 2020 it is now November 2020 and it is still not resolved. Gardner White does not stand behind their word after taking your money. I now see why they are not BBB accredited. Shop elsewhere!
