Pleased to report the matter has been dealt with and apart from the fabric problem, which is probably an unusual request, their service and product was very good. Supplied 10m of material for a chair, when only 5m was required, as it was the smallest amount that could be fireproofed and the remainder was supposed to have been returned for cushions. Despite 2 emails and a phone call, I'm still waiting after 6weeks. Very poor service

Excellent, regular communication from company to keep us updated. Sofa arrived ahead of schedule and delighted with it - excellent quality and very comfortable.

In line with a number of recent negative reviews, my experience with DoC has been horrendous. The sofa delivered was damaged, the seats pop every time I sit on it, leaving huge gaps with zero back support, the filling is lumpy and uneven throughout and despite the technician seeing all of the above, I’ve been told there are no “manufacturing faults”. The technician is clearly not impartial and paid to agree with the sofa companies paying them. Furthermore he informed me that he’s provided a strict list, which mandates what can be deemed a “manufacturer fault”. Conveniently, despite agreeing there were multiple issues with the sofa, his hands were tied, as it wasn’t listed on his sheet (which is unscrupulous in itself !) Secondly, I’ve paid thousands for a sofa that I cannot use - therefore I believe that indicates fundamental design flaws and as defined by the consumer act, it’s clearly not “fit for purpose”. Despite what DoC believe, consumers are not stupid and it’s pretty obvious sofas should not have uneven lumps bulging from the sofa, also find it ridiculous to claim there’s no faults with a sofa I can’t sit on!!! Plumping did not solve the issue ! Thus far I’ve not received a response from DoC and want a full refund / free return on this poorly made sofa, in line with my rights under the consumer rights act. For anyone thinking of buying a sofa from them, please read the negative reviews - they’ve had many over the course of 2022-23. They clearly need to quality check their items before sending them to customers and are doing everything possible to fleece their customers.

I have been incredibly disappointed with the sofa and chair I purchased from DoC (at a cost of £4k) only 2 years ago. Despite only having had light use over the 2 year period, the furniture looks really shabby. Cushions have lost their firmness and the covers look worn. Customer services offered to go 50/50 on replacement cushions, but offered no remedy to the covers situation, which are only covered by a 1 year guarantee. A really disappointing response from a brand that positions itself as selling quality products

We bought a Skye Midi sofa with a cotton velvet cover from Darlings of Chelsea, and it was delivered last November. Almost immediately, I noticed wrinkling on the cover, and complained. I was told to "dress" the sofa, ie smooth the fabric by hand and plump up the interior. Since this is a solid foam base, there is really nothing to plump up, and the excess fabric which causes the wrinkles simply reappears every time someone sits on the sofa. For it to look smooth and smart, as it had appeared in the store, and as it appears on the website, I would have to dart over to it every time someone stood up and shove the excess fabric down the sides of the sofa, and even then the effect lasts only seconds. Darlings of Chelsea arranged an inspection, and someone came to look at the sofa, but he was only able to report on whether the construction of the frame was faulty, which of course it was not. It was not his remit, he said, to look at whether the design was faulty, which included whether there was sufficient padding, or excess fabric, or whether the fabric had been sufficiently stretched over the foam during the upholstery process. I complained again. This time Darlings referred me to the furniture ombudsman, something I have not yet pursued given the ombudsman's reported track record. It is my belief that Darlings itself should have dealt with the issue. Darlings of Chelsea also sent me a photograph of the same or similar sofa with a different name, and on another company's website, saying that this was the supplier's (Tetrad) website. This photograph showed some dimpling in the upholstery, somewhat different to the wrinkling on the seat which our sofa showed - but the Tetrad photo is not a photograph which appears on the Darlings website , and therefore does not constitute part of their advertising or their offer. Every time I look at the sofa - which is beautiful in every way except that it has wrinkles all over the seat - I am very disappointed.

The process was nice and easy. Getting the fabric samples before deciding on the design of the sofa. Placing order easy. Only down side was the time it took for completion - longer than originally mentioned.

Easy to deal with - a great and comprehensie choice of sofas and sofa beds. I ordered one of each to a location with no road access and narrow stairs etc The delivery team were more than helpful and we ended up putting the sofas through a first floor window which was the only way they would get into the property. The quality of the product is 10/10 and I could not be happier.

I ordered a leather sofa on March 2nd 2023 with an expected 9 week delivery. I was contacted by Darlings that there would be a delay but I didnt expect to wait 17 weeks. The communication was eratic, a couple of emails from you. I felt like I was chasing all the time. I found it very miss leading that the company were still advertising 9 week delivery. The sofa is beautiful and of good quality and the delivery team were excellent. A shame that your customer service let this experiance down.

Pros Great selection of furniture and fabrics. Cons Once we placed our order, gave 50% deposit and were given a lead time of 3 months which is expected now a days. A month before we were expecting to be advised of a delivery date. We were contacted to say our chosen fabric was out of stock. This did not impress us. The sales team should check when you place your order that the fabric you have chosen is in stock and available to make up your sofas. We ended up waiting an extra month for the fabric to be back in stock. So 4 months in total.

My second leather sofa from DoC. Beautiful. Soft and warm, not cold and shiny. Service fantastic. Dealt with Callum, who put order on hold when I panicked that a 4 seater wouldn't fit through door. He did calculations and kept in touch. Delivered on time and got in easy. Super happy (until cat scratches it)

What a fantastic experience buying our sofa and sofa bed from Darlings of Chelsea. We looked at many companies and Darlings of Chelsea were head and shoulders above their competitors: extremely good quality and a great range of modern designs with a classical feel. The service from Emily Rankin at the Parsons Green Department was great - top marks for having a designated person for follow-up questions who knew who we were, remembered what you had ordered and could answer all our questions. Well done, we have already followed up with buying two chairs.

Love the sofa bed. Super comfortable as a sofa and as a bed (a rare find!). Great choice choice of fabrics, colours & patterns. Easy to convert. Only downside is the front base plate slips off when converting into a bed and is frustratingly awkward to slide back into place. Delivery was very delayed. We were told 8-10 weeks. Ended up being 16 weeks.
