I bought a concrete dopey the dwarf and a concrete happy the dwarf for $45 each. They have a dopey almost identical for $1300 plus. Huh?

I just saw and inquired about a gold bracelet I found on 1stibs for $18,000. I asked the seller a question, and the seller's name was in the response. I visited the seller's website, where the bracelet costs $4,500 less! Why is 1stdibs overcharging like this?

Cheap is Expensive and 1stDibs Customare Care service is obviously CHEAP. As many companies have done 1stDibs has outsourced its customare care service. It is so bad that it will become EXPENSIVE, as the online store will loose clients. It is a pity that a luxury online store that has a great selection and professional sellers, can not invest in a proper customary care service. I made an offer on the 1st of December of €700. The amount was withheld on my card but I did not receive a confirmation of the order. I emailed and it took 5 days to receive an answer on how to proceed. Saturday and Sunday no one worked being a weekend. In the meantime I called my credit card provider and nothing could be done on my side, as the transaction had gone through. Today I was told to accept the offer from the seller and I would not be charged twice. I accepted, confirmed the transaction on my card and was charged again. I now at least received the confirmation of the order. 1stDibs now has € 1400 on hold instead of € 700. They have on hold the transaction of the 1st of December and of the 5th. Yesterday I tried to call using the phone number provided. I waited for over 10min, 7min, 5min and I was not passed to Customare Care Service. I selected 3 times the option to be called back and no one did. I was calling from Kenya at my own expense. I would like to be called by a manager and the amount to be refunded on my card. Case number #02625857 If the amount is not refunded I will proceed legally with my credit card provider. You should be ashamed of such a bad service.

1stDibs offered unique items I didn't see elsewhere. This particular butterfly brooch was unlike anything else and it made a wonderful special birthday gift for my wife. The seller was fantastic to deal with; prompt in replying, courteous and professional. The brooch was exactly as advertised.

Worst buying platform I have ever used! Firstly after more than a few visits to the site the prices started to go up every time I views and went down again if I didn’t view for a week. Then added shipping when I never selected it automatically confirm and took my money even after contacting the help line several times to say I never agreed to this. I would never buy on this site again it’s one of the worst buying experiences I have ever had!!

1stDibs I fail to see how 1stDibs can advertise like this when you look at the appalling review FedEx have. "Enjoy Exceptional Support Our dedicated specialists will answer your questions and assist with order-related needs. The 1stDibs Promise A Price-Match Guarantee, comprehensive Buyer Protection, trusted global delivery and more are part of the 1stDibs Promise" I did not complain to FedEx as my agreement was with 1stDibs plus looking at their appalling reviews I don’t think FedEx care about their customers at all. After my dealing with 1stDibs I concluded some of their promises are very disingenuous. FedEx Panama lied to 1stDibs stating I had given them a wrong telephone and wrong delivery address. How can someone be so stupid. They did not even try to phone me to check this out. FedEx filled in the custom form incorrectly and refused to amend it, this would have resulted in me paying an extra $1,800.00 in customs duty, I had to employ a second company to do the import which I had to pay, this also delayed the import so I had unnecessary storage charges to pay. By this time I had lost faith in FedEx so instead of them delivering the package to my home in Sora, Panama about 70 miles away, I collected my package at their offices in Panama City. Then they crooked their own tracking system to make 1stDibs believe they had delivered the package to my home. My extra costs for this were $247.00 which I eventually with much persistence got 1stDibs to repay me. 1stDibs tried to say delivery was free which everyone knows nothing in this life is free I got the seller to include delivery in the purchase price in lieu of a larger discount. I concluded 1stDibs customer support people are specially trained in these circumstances to fob you off to avoid them having to pay for their false promises and failings. I was given no compensation for all the time and hassle I was forced to go through. Conclusion using this site you are paying top whack and in my case I believe I was treated appallingly by FedEx and later by 1stDibs. I will never use these companies again.
