United Kingdom | 27 September 2020Yes where do I start...this is going to be difficult without using offensive language!! I placed an order for a front bar 76mm black mach, road legal, crash tested Ford Ranger made in Italy. The bars arrived safely, carefully opening the packaging first thing I noticed was very bad powder coating. When I stood them upright I noticed that the top bar was not straight. When I placed a metal ruler across the top there was at least 15 mls bend in the middle of the bar. At first I thought that I had received one of the original crash tested front bars as this is what it looked like. This was just the start of my problems. Having made several phone calls to truckman I was advised to take photos of the bar which I did and forwarded them on to them by email. They agreed that these were not correct and for me to return the complete bars in their original packaging. Now as we are both at work all day and no-one would be here for the courier to collect this rather large box had to be taken to my wife's place of work for collection which we were told would be in a couple of days and we would received notification of collection date which we did not. Eventually the package was collected and returned. Truckman would not release a replacement until they had received the original. Having spoken to their General manager it was agreed they would send out a replacement as my truck was booked in to my local garage to be fitted and I did not want to mess them about. When the replacement bars arrived the box was completely destroyed and yes the bars had been damaged in transit and the top bar had the same engineering fault of not being straight as before. Again made contact with Truckman advised to take photos and forward on, they agreed that the bars needed to be returned and they would send out an empty box for me to pack up and again to be collected. And yes you are right we had to go through the same procedure a second time. Inconvenience is one word I would use. This should have been a pleasure to have bought these bars and to have them fitted onto my new truck instead it was a ....... nightmare!! Then I had to get the refund, which took three weeks and several telephone calls. In total it took nearly two months from placing the order to getting the refund and approximately 40 plus phone calls and emails. These were not pestering phone calls, these are what I call communication to find out what is happening. I had spoken to just about everyone at Truckman at some point and it would appear that nobody followed this through to the completion of the problem. I would therefore not recommend this company to anybody and certainly will not be using them again. To this date no email from a director or general manager to say that they really apologize for the bad experience I have received, this would have gone some way to make good the bad experience. I suggest they go back to basics and concentrate on customer service

United Kingdom | 04 September 2020The rear lock on the Luxury hardtop is very easily broken and will mean anybody can get in and steal your stuff. DO NOT leave valuables in the back. It is also not covered under warranty even though it is obviously inferior quality. Replacement part and postage is not cheap and did not arrive the next day. I also have problems with water leaking in and the top is only around a year old.

United Kingdom | 28 August 2020I have just had a Truckman hardtop fitted to my 2016 Nissan Navara and drove to Truckman so they could fit it for me. The end result looks fantastic and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the fitting. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional.

United Kingdom | 23 August 2020I've recently bought a Ford Ranger. I found Truckman Website extremely good. I ordered a Catloc & Bedmat and Bonnet Guard & Tailgate Seal System. I drove 160 miles from home to have these fitted by Truckman. I found Truckman Staff extremely Professional and very Knowledgeable. I can't thank them enough. Brilliant Service. I would also like to thank the Manager who brought me out some great brochures to read as I got there extremely early. And also thank Dean for being a great sales executive.

United Kingdom | 23 July 2020This company is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. I purchased a roller shutter for my ford ranger but did not realise the limited and wild track was different so sent it back. I’ve been waiting for 3 weeks for my refund and just keep getting fobbed off in the phone. I highly advise for anyone thinking of using this company please don’t. Quick enough to take your money but don’t want to give it back

United Kingdom | 29 June 2020I’ve purchased a LOT from Truckman. Canopy, wind deflectors, bed rugs, Max box, headlamp protectors, central locking kits, floor mats and LED bars. Variable quality, mostly excellent but the canopy security is poor. Customer sales service is terrible, so I’ve stopped using them. I purchased the Vision Extreme 21 inch light bar for nearly £1000. A few weeks later they were offering a Black Friday deal on it at significant discount. I rang customer services who were not interested and said I was outside the 7 day returns window. The legal statutory minimum is 14 days - as per Truckmans written T&C’s. Poor customer service training, or just trying to fob off the customer? They made me feel like a chancer. I later found out I could have cancelled the order up to 30 days after delivery (13.1.1 T&C’s). Of course I was not told this. This Truckman, is how you go from a repeat customer spending thousands with you to someone who now takes business elsewhere. Ford Ranger canopy was recently broken into via the rear glass door via the weak door handle. I now keep NOTHING in the back of my truck overnight which is a real pain, until I figure out how to add supplementary locks and alarms.

United Kingdom | 19 June 2020Purchased a hard top from Truckman when I bought my Ford Ranger in June 2019. This week the truck was parked in the sun outside my office and the rear window shattered with no contact! Obviously this concerned me, so I contacted Truckman. They informed me that the glass is not covered under warranty so I am now liaising with my insurance company to arrange the repair. Clearly this is due to a fault in the glass and I tried to argue this with Truckman, but they were unyielding. It particularly concerned me as my dog regularly travels in the back of the truck, and had this happened while driving with him, he would have been severely injured. Having read through some of the reviews below, it seems that this is a regular occurrence and therefore is clearly a quality issue, yet Truckman refuse to address it and continue to insist that they can do nothing. Please be aware.

United Kingdom | 03 May 2020I bought a truckman to fit my new isuzu d max. The fit is good and it's sturdy. The finish is sloppy, paint buffed through at the corners, black finish on the window surround is missing on the edges and there's window adhesive / sealant on the black window strip at the rear. I shall check out others if I ever buy another truck cover.

United Kingdom | 27 April 2020Firstly I would like to thank Sophie, she is an absolute star. Our truckman hardtop was unfortunately just out of warranty. But given the current circumstances and how badly perished our window seal was. Sophie pulled it out all the stops for us and sent us a new seal to fit myself. We have been loyal customers of Truckman for 6 years + and we have 8 different models throughout all of our vehicles. And we've never had an issue. And this just confirms what first class service they have. All the negative reviews on here I would take with a pinch of salt, if you have an issue truckman will do their best by you. Thanks again truckman. And top marks to Sophie. You have a fantastic team member there. Thanks again guys. And wishing everyone safety and health in the current pandemic. Regards, Mike.

United Kingdom | 08 March 2020Twelve days ago I picked up a brand new Hilux Invincible from the Toyota dealer in Inverness, Park Motors. The truck came fitted with a TRUCKMAN GLS luxury hardtop. On getting back home to the Western Isles I noticed that the GLS rear window was not demisting when the heater was switched on. Prior to accepting the dealer’s recommendation I checked the specifications shown in the TRUCKMAN advert for the Toyota Hilux GLS. This clearly shows a heated rear window; in fact the advert highlights the safety benefits in fitting the heated rear window. On contacting the Inverness Toyota dealer they requested that I take the vehicle back to Inverness as there must be a faulty wire connection, however, I first took the vehicle to a local garage and they confirmed what I suspected, the rear window was NOT heated. The Inverness Toyota dealer thought that they had supplied me with a heated window so they contacted TRUCKMAN on the issue and the following is their reply: "The canopy is a Toyota approved canopy, with that being said Toyota do not want heated rear screen on their spec. All orders placed as standard through your account (Toyota) will be non heated.Unless it’s requested to have a heated screen the order will then be placed through a trade account and the canopy with a heated rear screen will not be Toyota approved." From the early email responses to this issue from the Toyota dealer it is apparent that they were not aware of the fact that, as stated in the TRUCKMAN response “a heated rear screen will not be Toyota approved”? They have now raised a case on this issue with Toyota (UK).

United Kingdom | 03 February 2020Truckman Canopy Failure L200 I called and reported a glass failure on the Truckman rear glass window, This glass failed while parked stationary on my drive! I have since been told this is very common and happens while driving on a smooth road,It is a given this will happen after only a few thousand miles!! The glass is not fitted with a view to it lasting. I've contacted Truckman who advise no glass is covered?? But acknowledge this is very common The price I have been quoted for a replacement piece of glass is extortionate and Given its likely this will happen again I will avoid Truckman all together, The glass company I have now gone to have advised me this is a very common job for them, Fixing the glass on the rear door of L200 Canopies!

United Kingdom | 28 January 2020After taking delivery of a New a Navara last August I’ve had a real issue of really bad knocking and banging coming from the truck man . I have taken it to Nissan over the months with the issue just to be told that’s what Truckmand do , they make lots of noise . I contacted Truckman and dealt with Sophie . Sophie could see from just 3 photos that the canopy was not fitted correctly, not sitting on the bed as it should . Sophie booked me in for a Technician to sort it out . After a couple of hours the canopy had been taken and refitted correctly . The box is now silent, not a rattle or bang to be heard . Great Service and a credit to the Truckman Brand . Thanks
