He was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient and explained to me the problem and what he had done to remedy it. He also informed me that there was a 6 month guarantee. I was very impressed with his service.

United Kingdom | 22 February 2025I arranged for glotech to repair my washing machine which was making a noise upon starting a wash program, the engineer was here for 10 minutes, declaring that the drum bearing had failed and we needed a new machine. The machine was under 2 years old. My husband, an engineer, got home from work and said no way is it the bearing, the spin cycle is quiet, after a bit of googling identified the issue as the drain pump, got the part online for £45 and fitted it himself and the machine is working perfectly. I contacted glotech to say that the engineer had misdiagnosed the issue and my husband had fixed the machine and I asked for my £90 to be refunded. £90 for 10 minutes is the equivalent of (robbery?) £540 an hour. They sent the same engineer who claimed the same diagnosis even though the machine is perfectly operational. He wobbled the drum to confirm this, which by the way does not confirm a drum bearing failure. No shock that we didn’t get a response to our complaint or his visit. I could have misdiagnosed this issue for £90 myself but I’m not a n*b and I have morals. Anyway this company is a cowboy outfit, don’t waste your time or money, just find a company that is decent. By the way this company does not have social media which for me is now a red flag. Avoid.

United Kingdom | 21 February 2025The process this company uses, it may or may not suit you. An initial visit to review the problem, payment is requested for the initial visit and a return. By paying for the return visit you feel tied and owed. They then provide you with the parts costs (based on experience almost twice the price of market value). So the question is do you buy the parts and fix yourself and write off the payment for return visit. I chose to do this, but my fix is the simple replacement of a door seal. The reason I write this view with negativity is because I find the approach slightly deceiving.
