I love how sturdy the Alligator chopper feels and is. I have a huge garden and prep and preserve as well as cook. I love the size the larger screen makes carrots, celery, potatoes, peppers and onions. And I love that you can litterally pound on without fear of breaking it. The smaller size works well for pico. I actually wish there was one size larger. But I have 2 now so we can get 2 people working through the process. The screen on the base for cleaning is a great feature. I recomend this for anyone who just thinks the plastic ones are too flimsy or too small. And for anyone who wants to make quick work of chopping. It has no problem making perfect chunks out sliced carrots. Tougher Veggies are NOT A PROBLEM. APPLE pie filling is so much better n chunks. Yes this is worth the money. But buy extra screens for the bottom. They do break. But can last a long time if you lift slowly around the edges.
