United Kingdom | 07 July 2022Absolutely appalling! I rang to book an appointment to view a car at the Preston branch on Sunday. I booked an appointment to view on Tuesday at 2.30pm, on Monday I received a call to be informed the car had been transported to another site for someone else to view and I was instructed that I would receive a call back to the outcome. This call was never received so I decided to attend my appointment as planned as their was other options I could view if not. On entering the building I was in from that the gentlemen I had arranged a viewing with wasn’t even in! However another salesman came to assist and the initial service I received from Will was outstanding and could not fault him, he was the only saving grace of this experience. He quickly informed me the car I had originally looked into was on its way back to the branch as the viewer never had turned up. After viewing other cars the car arrived, Will was brilliant we went through everything about the car and went for a test drive, however on the test drive the engine management light came on, on a 5/10 minute drive! Will straight away got the car seen to and informed me of what it was. Still at this point I was willing to pay UPFRONT! for a £23,000 car. I paid a deposit of £500! (Non-refundable!!) only to be rung the next day to be told that apparently the car had ALREADY BEEN SOLD!! Apparently while I was test driving it!? How anything like this can happen is beyond me. The serviced I received afterwards was absolutely appalling. To be told I have to wait 3 days for MY £500! To where I demanded my money back straight away, to be instructed by the manager this can be done and approved by accounts. I have continuously had to ring back as I am yet to receive my money back to be told I’ll contact them again and ring you back, with no return phone call. To be told now I have to wait the 3 days. Absolutely disgusting service from above sales. No compensation, no nothing, except and apology and to be told we will fine you a like for like! After the over all service who in their right might would go through this process again… let alone recommend to anyone else!

Lee was very patient with us. Guided us through the process we changed our minds a few times on the cars we had chosen. Lee was very understanding to our needs and our budget. The process was very easy to go through and we cannot thank Lee enough for all his help.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Charlie Heyes, he was extremely polite, allowed us to have a browse and search for the car we were after. We eventually found a car we wanted, he sat us down and went through all the criteria of the car. He then took us out for a test drive in the car and we decided it was the car for us. We then proceeded to go through the part ex for our current car, got a value and agreed a price. He was very professional, went through all the documentation, arranged all the issues to be sorted on the car we bought. We then arranged to collect the car the following week and the whole process was efficient and quick. He really seemed to know all he was instructing us about and was a pleasure to deal with, he is a credit to HPL Oldham
