James Booth was the man for the job for us, he was highly attentive and left us to look around at cars without being pushy or trying to sell a car to us. We fell in love with the car we purchased and more so after James took us out on a test drive and made the experience very comfortable and happy. I went to Hpl motors Preston last July 2021 to purchase a vehicle. I was there for 4 hours and eventually got my vehicle. I returned to collect it in August as opted for the color bonding and was advised a full mot and service will be carried out. I had to return a couple of times as things were forgotten. To my horror, I went to tax my vehicle on July 27th and it said the vehicle was not with a valid mot. I called Hpl immediately to be informed the vehicle had never been mot or serviced as promised by the dealership and on the HPLC website. I have now had it serviced at Oldham by the Managers quick thinking at Preston but no response to my formal complaint from July 28th. I also received the car back after 5 days with no petrol and it was over half full when it was collected for them and service. I do not recommend the HPL group as it does not care about the individual who spent hard-earned money to purchase a vehicle. I am unable to work due to ill health and this really upset and stressed me out badly. A phone call and no message left is not acceptable. HPL means Honesty provides loyalty. It didn't live up to its name with my service.

Bought my car with HPL Preston August 2021. Also purchased full 12 month warranty. Not only did they sell me a car knowing it had a technical fault with the DSG gearbox, but they insisted the full warranty did not cover that specific fault. It cost me more than £1000 to fix. A year later I have discovered THEY NEVER EVEN REGISTERED THE CAR IN MY NAME. It has been registered as 'in trade' this whole time. They forgot to sort the logbook out and it is only by chance I noticed and had to chase the details needed to tax my own car. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not buy with them - it has been a nightmare.

Purchased a BMW off this company and 3 months in warning light came up and turned out to be an exhaust sensor - cost to replace was £600, contacted them and they stated that because I didn't take out extra cost warranty there was nothing they could do. Just be warned soon as something goes wrong typical garage they avoid the issue-poor. Message from HPL just confirms because you dont take their warranty they were sorry that could not do anything ! as is the norm they have missed the point most dealerships offer a 3 month warranty as standard - appears HPL dont, the car issues were within 3 months of ownership but because you dont take their warranty they dont offer any.

I have just bought the cutest little car from Andrew at HPL I’m absolutely over the moon with everything all aspects of the transaction were clearly explained to me and Andrew made me feel at ease the whole time. Not once did I feel pressured into doing or buying anything I didn’t want. Got a great price for my old car as part exchange too.
