I recently purchased a car for the 3rd time from HPL Oldham and dealt with Adrian, he was very professional, knowledgeable and went out of his way to get me the car i wanted! He made the whole process very stress free. 10/10 all round!

I bought a Tesla from HPL last month. Everyone had been kind, helpful and professional. I even had to request my pick up early due to work commitments and David G got the car prepped and ready to pick up a day early. As buying a used car no car is perfect I have had a slight click in one of the doors and HPL have booked this in with no hassle at all. Great experience from start to finish.

As I live some distance from their nearest garage they were extremely helpful in helping me to organise a trade-in and purchase remotely. On the day I arrived the car I was purchasing was exactly as described and there was no unseemly quibbling of my trade-in. My sales exec Simon, made the whole process effortless by walking me through every step and I was treated as a valued customer. Would deal again.

Dreadful staff “ that I dealt with” the manager or now ex manager was a total prat along with his sidekick salesman. They made me quite ill with their antics and I had to take leave from work due to the stress this company placed on me , after speaking with numerous site managers it seemed they were all as unhelpful as each other and only wanted to line their own pockets and keep the CEO’s of the company happy , on a few occasions the ceo Jonathan was copied into the chats regards the issues I faced and not once did he even bother to respond or comment , you should be ashamed of yourself , but then again it’s all about accumulating wealth isn’t it . Not even a polite simple apology for the way me and my partner were treated absolutely nothing. This matter will be going further. Never again.

Where do I start, I bought a car from Simon and it was tip top from the offset. He was really welcoming, we took our 1 year old son with us and he was great with him. Simon took us for a test drive in the car we chose and he run through everything. Couldn’t recommend him enough. Thanks again mate

Fantastic Service from Liam at HPL Motors Stockport! I recently purchased a car from HPL Motors Stockport, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Liam was absolutely brilliant from start to finish—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely helpful. He made the buying process smooth and stress-free, ensuring I found the perfect car to suit my needs. What truly stood out was the aftercare service. Liam went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order even after I drove away. His dedication to customer satisfaction is outstanding, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his work. If you’re looking for a great car and excellent service, I highly recommend visiting HPL Motors Stockport and asking for Liam. Thanks again for everything!

Hey I have just had what can only be described as the best customer service by far I have ever experienced at HPL Stockport. From the offset Kyle was supportive but by far not pushy. Listened to everything I asked for and supported from beginning to end. Chris was also great with everything and reassured me of everything. The whole team are so friendly and really do make you feel valued. My car I have just bought is amazing and all finer details have been taken care of. Thank you for making what has been a really bad experience in the past with other dealerships to a more enjoyable one with you guys… I was so impressed my other half has also Bought a car with HPL Stockport.

Simon is a very good salesman, he is very approachable, and easy to talk to. A very good point is he allowed me to browse at my leisure, and i did not feel pressure at any point. I am very happy with my new car and the excellent customer service.

Great service from Alan who had been recommended to us. Only went to have a look but Alan found us what we wanted and so we decided to get it there and then!! He was helpful with the finance options and trade in. You could tell it was a busy day there but the process was smooth and any delay explained. On pick up the car was clean and full of electric which was great. Thanks Alan :-)

Very disappointed with the customer service. We bought 2 cars from HPL Preston within a week of each other. I got told they would get a parcel shelf for my car, never got it, I got told the v5 had been sent, the dvla still haven't recieved it, 2 week after paying £18,000 for the car. So I can't put my own plates on. Iv rang several times to speak to the sales individual who we delt with, he is either off or they can't locate him. We also paid extra for some booklet, with money off, never recieved the booklet but they took over £125+ for it. Would never use this company ever again. Terrible.

I received excellent customer service from Jade Robinson at the Preston branch. Everything was explained to me from start to finish, no pressure and all my questions were answered. A test drive was organised very promptly by Jade. The finance department took 6 days to give me a document to sign, the price had gone up due to extra charges, I therefore decided to pay cash. The finance had to be backed out even though it wasn’t signed which took another week, which I found strange. Finally got my car after nearly two weeks, the process was a little slow and became a little stressful at this stage. 1 day of driving my car and my suspension doesn’t sound great at all, loud creaking. I didn’t receive any car mats which I thought was a little stingy since I left them my mats in my part exchange car. So I’m going to try and take it back to have it looked at. One thing to note is I was told there was two keys but was only given one and told the other will be with them the next day for me to collect, which I found strange…. Fingers crossed my suspension and spare key will be sorted. I could have got my car the same day with a smaller garage and less faff, but I’ll give them a chance to redeem themselves. Also just noticed the previous owners finance is still active on the vehicle which I was told would be removed before i collected the car, which i don’t think is even legal….. could be an issue with Toyota finance not removing it quick enough. Got spare key and HPL looked at my car issue straight away with the squeaky suspension. Which was amazing aftercare service from sales and service team.

The selection of cars available to choose from was very good. You were able to just have a walk around the forecourt without feeling pressured. All the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I was able to test drive the cars I wanted. James Dewhurst was great. Informative and helpful. He was able to sort out everything without any issues. Would recommend James and HPL motors. Thanks

I was recommended to contact HPL by my son who bought a car from HPL Preston. I wanted a specific car which was in Atherton. having contacted the team I was met by Brett Mellor. Brilliant guy sorted everything out including log book and road tax. Didn't take long. Anyway, all done now and my new-ish car is at my home. Delighted with it Cheers Brett you are a credit to the team.

I made an enquiry about a vehicle one evening and I had a call back within 30 minutes. The call was made after hours. From that moment the gentleman I dealt with Alan was very helpful. Once a deal had been made with the part exchange of my vehicle Alan kept me informed throughout the initial deposit and then collection of my new vehicle. I am very impressed with the overall service and attention to detail. Would highly recommend HPL Motors. Ask for Alan you won’t be disappointed

I have had a really poor experience with HPL Motors, a company that seems to operate on a foundation of deceit and incompetence. HPL motors pride their company on 'making the car buyers journey swift, simple and fun' to further quote they 'aim to make finding and buying your new car a stress- free experience' and I can state that this couldn't be any further from the truth. I went to HPL Motors in Oldham looking for a car. I made it clear from the start to the sales person that if I found the right deal on a car I liked, I would proceed, but if I didn't I was not going to go ahead. We were initially met with hostility and to quote the salesman words 'we are just talking here'. I did find a car I liked and when the salesman realised this, he soon changed his tune. We first saw the car I liked at 15:55 and didn't leave the premises until 19:30, this in itself was frustrating. I went on a test drive as I was sure this was the one I liked. During the test drive,I noticed the car play feature was showing as 'unavailable'. I queried this as this was one of the many selling points for the purchase of the car. The salesman explained that the 'car play feature would all be up and running and would clear before we purchased the car'. With that, once we had agreed on a price and spoke through finance, we signed the papers and was told they would contact me during the week to pick it up. I had some concerns about the car before picking it up during the following week as I checked the MOT history. I was also reassured at this stage, these issues would be rectified before I picked up the car. Having initial trust in the sales team and knowing I had purchased one year of warranty, I picked the car up on the following Friday. On this day, the salesman who initially sold me the car was not there. When quizzed, the sales team explained that he had been 'let go' that very morning. We were helped by another salesman, who had been handed over a folder and told to deal with us last minute. After signing all documents, he gave us a key and the documents and we swiftly got in the car. He did a short visual check and sent us on our way. The car only had 5 miles of petrol in (driveaway petrol) so I headed to the nearest petrol station to fill up. It was here that I realised the car play was still not available and the car still had another users sensitive details on it, a huge breach of GDPR which I have reported. The car hadn't even been reset (which I was told by the salesman it would) and it became apparent that I needed two keys for the car to function, in order to reset the car and to use the functions of the car properly (i.e. keep primary user settings for each drive). I had not been told that the car only had one key at any stage; no documentation nor online information stated this and nor did I know the implications it would have for the car I had bought- I wouldn't have purchased the car if I knew this. I rang HPL and was told that the manager would look into it on Monday. These claims were demonstrably false. When I contacted them to address this blatant mis-selling again, they suggested giving me a second key at cost price and that they would look into the car play mis-sale. I was told the salesman who had been let go, was being questioned behind the scenes. Their initial argument was that I had signed a delivery checksheet that stated the car had one key, but was only notified after all documents had already been signed, seconds before the handover. To counter argue this, their ex salesman was the print name but the salesman who took over signed this document- which suggests this is also a problem. After I queried everything, I was told by the manager "if I take it to VW with the log book, they will be able to reset it for me". I contacted VW to verify this and they told me this isn't possible without a second key, yet another blatant lie from HPL. I rang the manager again, to which they were dismissive and kept stonewalling me with "we are looking into it, it is higher than me now and is being taken to the senior manager". I implied I would bring the car back if the issue was not rectified to which he said he wants to find a solution, but we are yet to have this so called solution. My solution would be to have a second key and car play fixed in the vehicle, which is how we were sold the car. They are now ignoring my calls and emails. I am being met with the same tale each time I make contact and have complete lack of trust in the company. I have complained to the finance company who were also shocked and will be complaining to the Managing Director. So, let's recap: I was deliberately mis-sold a product based on false information, the company has refused to rectify the situation promptly, and they've broken GDPR. HPL Motors isn't just bad; they're operating in a realm of appalling conduct. Save your wallet, your sanity, and your data privacy.
