We love this place. The jewellery is such good prices & lots of lovely items to choose from. At the Southampton store Sonia is such a lovely lady, always happy & helpful & never pushy which goes a long way with us. Well worth a visit if you are in Southampton, shop is in The Marlands shopping centre.

Visited the kirkby branch last week and Donna and Linda were both on duty. They were fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them, infact they'll go above and beyond to help you. They exceed my expectations everytime. They get to know you as a customer, and always ask how things are going. They are consistantly outstanding on every visit. They are a credit to H and T also. I would like to highly recommend H and T Kirkby, inparticular Donna, Linda and Hayley their manager. The Kirkby branch is the top store to visit. For prospective customers, you won't be disappointed. You'll receive a warm welcome from highly trained, knowledgeable staff who will always exceed your expectations and support you through your visit. They care. Thank you so much Donna and Linda. Great customer service right from my initial online contact to my purchase instore. Superb, clear, regular communications. Absolute joke..Do not trust them as they previously mis-sold me a loan being unaffordable for me to pay back without doing the relevant checks upon them confirming they will be refunding me as compensation via the claims company charter finance so they I was worried how much of that refund charter finance would keep but the woman I spoke to in customer service on calls with Liverpool accent and Debbie in customer services via email both told me they could not discuss MY CLAIM WITH ME..contacted charter finance as I wanted to know how much from the amount h and t were refunding goes to charter claims limited for dealing with my claim which I didn’t have a problem paying but since my calls to h and t and charter claims regarding the fees they are trying to uphold my refund amount and being told a totally different story as to my refund compensation especially which is disgraceful knowing they were at fault for their miss sold loan to me previously then to fob me off when I stated I suffer from mental health which meant what they had just done has caused me a great deal of anxiety and stress but they showed no empathy or duty of care so much so Debbie from h and t didn’t even bother to reply back to my email…h and t are disgraceful for what they are doing and charter claims limited are scam artists for upholding my payments with lies and making me wait 56 odd days for my complaint regarding this mess knowing about my mental health thinking they could easily get away with their mistake as their customer would get fed up and give up which is so hurtful and wrong to do to someone that has a child, a family to feed during the cost of living crisis alongside coping with their mental health! Absolutely shameful and disgusting!

I have used H+T for 5 years now and just purchased a Ruby+Diamond ring for my birthday in February staff are always helpful and kind i would always recomend them to anyone. I always ask for Nick as he is very experienced and kind.

My experience at the Belle Vale shop was very good. Helen made the transaction very easy. I found that pawning my jewellery was especially easy because Helen had recognised me from the huyton shop. After my dealings with the pawning service I then went on to another transaction for foreign money. I received more in dollars than I expected for the pounds I had. I’m having the time of my life in frozen Memphis. Thanks Helen

The staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all of the questions that I had and also very polite to me also explained how the loan works couldn't ask for a more friendly service as I have been going to the shop for years

The whole experience was easy, convenient and friendly. I had to raise money to cover a short fall in wages until my next payday, I used some gold to raise the needed capital and, not only did they take the least they needed, but explained clearly what I would owe and how the interest works. I paid it off within a week, the whole process was good. Would recommend

A little update regarding my issues with H&T. Pawnbrokers Greenock I recently raised complaints on trust Pilot, as I had felt poorly treated by the staff in Greenock, when they refused to process my request to send some money to my niece in USA, I did mention that I was doing a favour for my Elderly Sister as she was experiencing health mobility issues + Covid health issues. But did stress, that it was me sending the cash, I had identification with me, my details were logged in the system, as I previously had made use of this facilitator in the past, also my Sister, on a monthly basis made use of this outlet. So we were known in the system, credentials were all recorded, but sadly I can only describe the two representatives, who refused me help as bitter job worths who in my opinion did not understand Western Unions Policy, but appeared happy to prevent my niece from accessing much needed cash, it was coming up for Christmas, but there was no miracle here. So she would have had to cope penniless over the Xmas period, thanks to them. H&T Head Office reviewed the complaint, observed video tapes of my visit to the shop and concluded that the staff acted in accordance with Western Union Policy, which according to them, was that they could not transfer money, because I was acting on behalf of my sister and therefore there was no case to answer, so case closed. Interestingly a phone call to Western Union revealed a completely polar apposite conclusion. They also could see no reason why I had been denied this service, as essentially it was ME sending the money not my sister and to cap it all, I made use of a different Western Union service provider, who carried out the transaction with courtesy, politeness and generous customer service, which proved the Greenock outlet and their head office don’t know diddly squat. Obviously this alternative facilitator, will be getting all future business. So much for H&T’s analogy, of a responsible company who always do right by their customers. They are obviously a very large operation, as It was reported that half of its revenues come from its pawnbroking business, the other half is from its retail operations, including sales of second hand jewellery, personal loans and cheque cashing. But they certainly won’t appreciate my following observation, which has been well documented in the media, that as a result of approval from the Financial Conduct Authority H&T Pawnbrokers the Short-term loans company had to refund a reported £2 million, to those customers, who should never have been given a loan in the first place, and consequently found themselves unable to pay back their debt. A new meaning for H&T - a responsible organisation - ???? In the meantime I await Western Unions, review avidly.

My partner went into the Camden branch to buy a ring. It was before 5.30pm but the tray had been put away. He was told to come back in the morning, which isn’t possible as he works. I went in and asked if there was any chance of getting the tray out to be told “we shut at 5.30”. It was 5.31 and the door to the shop was still open. I asked again, but he guy said no because “he had people to see” and he would remember me tomorrow. I told him not to bother as I wouldn’t be coming back the following day. He turned away customers planning to spend several hundreds of pounds on an item, all because he couldn’t be bothered with a transaction that would be a taken all of 5 minutes. Poor service. I’m not sure what further information I can give you. We knew exactly which ring we were after, and met there after work to buy it. The transaction would have involved pointing at the tray, handing over a substantial amount of money and leaving. It would have added no more than five minutes to the guy’s time, so he would still have been able to go and see his people. Had the shop door been locked, we would have accepted that we were too late, but it wasn’t, and he just couldn’t be bothered to get the tray back out of the safe, cheerfully telling us to come back the following day. I often used that establishment before it was taken over by H&T, and was always satisfied with the service. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about my first experience with the new company.
