They repaired a gold bracelet earlier this year. When I got it back it weight slightly less than it did when I took it to them. The repair was low quality and has subsequently failed, when I took it back to them they said I’d have to pay again. Won’t ever use these guys again, repair done on the cheap. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I noticed my review when I rang to ask what they were paying for 41.1g of 24kt Gold a 1oz Bar, and a pair of 5g bars. £33 what the Spot price was around £52. I laughed down the phone I ended up sending to cash for Gold and got £2-000. An ounce of gold troy oz 31.1g is at £1634 been higher as well this week. So 41.1g at 33 would have been £1300 around. Thieves if I'd of not been in the know these people £33 that is 18carat price. Hattons in London even better than cash for Gold.

AFTER LOSEING MY GOLD BRACLET I HAVE BEEN LOOKING TO REPLACE IT. WHILE ON A VISIT TO EAST KILBRIDE COULD NOT BELEIVE THE SAME BRACLET IN THE WINDOW I WAS SO EXCITED. I was so upset to have to resort to this. Totally out of my depth but needed money urgently to save extra bank charges. I took jewellery in to sell but they could see how attached I was to my gold chain so they suggested I pawned it instead. They explained it all & that’s what I did. Then I was able to buy it back when I was financially more secure. The Lady I dealt with & the Manager were so kind & understanding.

Just looking at some of the other reviews I now understand the ‘rude staff’ comment! Absolutely rude staff (larger lady with bald head). I don’t understand why people choose a career in dealing with customers if you don’t even have the basics to be polite. Manners cost nothing!!! Walk in and I get an abrupt “can I help”! I inform her that my currency order is here and without even asking my name or ref number she said “it’s not here yet”!!! Told her I had a call and without even saying anything she goes to the back. She comes back and tells me it might be Money Point when I asked where they were, her response “look behind you”!!! I understand that I may have got it wrong but why the rudeness! Seriously don’t visit this shop as they have absolutely no manners whatsoever

I was so upset because I had to use them. when I first walked in I felt sick and uneasy, The lady who was dealing with me was so understanding and empathetic, and the head lady also supported me and was helping me. They could see I was out of my comfort zone but tried to make the experience more bearable. I would like to thank them again for there support.

This was my first time using H&T Pawnbrokers, and any pawnbrokers for that matter, and from start to finish the whole experience was a lot more pleasant than I expected. All the staff were lovely but in particular Efe at the branch near Surrey Quays (196 Lower Rd, London) was so welcoming, helpful and diligent during her customer service. I used the pawnbroking and selling services, both went really well and if I needed either again, I'd be going back to H&T.

tried to order euros online but the site did not work tried several times at Dundee store. Phoned and explained to staff member Fiona she said not to worry to come into shop and they would honour rate online. Lied to as husband went into shop next day and was told they would not honour the previous days online rate. could have got a better rate in any other shop in Dundee so therfeore this company is NOT offering the best rate as they state. would not do business with them again. BEWARE
