United Kingdom | 31 August 2019I like E7E prices but they are poor in their understanding of the customer base. 2019 started with total confusion of their half yearly direct debit proposal which in essence is technically better for the consumer but failed to understand the customers need for fixed monthly budgets. They could have made it optional. They the shot themselves in the foot by calculating the proposed monthly payments and failing to account for existing balances. Finally they realized they had failed to give sufficient notice. They overall consequence was an interview with BBC Radio 4 and the loss of customers. The response was a nice new website and a trouble free year until I received an email asking me I found the sign up process. Well as I signed up in April 2017 it seems a question of little value but I will happily accept the Amazon voucher.

United Kingdom | 30 August 2019I have been with Economy Seven Energy for over a year now and have to say that at the time of switching and still to this day I get the same product (of course) through the wires and pipes for a much better price than any other I could find. They did reverse my meter readings once and it took a little time to get that resolved but no problem now. One of the best deals you`ll find I think!

United Kingdom | 29 August 2019Sent me an email thanking me for switching to them when I had been with them for above a year? They are no better or worse than any of the other companies for trying to rip you off. They tried to make everyone switch to a variable tariff where payments went up for 6 months in the winter but down in the 6 months of summer. They were going to put the winter monthly payments up by £40 and then only reduce the summer payments by £20. Must have thought we customers were so stupid we wouldn't notice. They had to scrap that after so many complaints but later emailed me to say that based on my usage they needed to increase my monthly payments. When I asked what figures they were basing this on as I hadn't submitted a meter reading since the one I submitted after the variable tariff fiasco it was a bit of a doah Homer Simpson moment and they left my monthly payments the same (My account showed that I was in credit anyway). I haven't switched yet as they all seem to try and rob you in any way they can but this company do seem to have uneducated people at the helm and I would not trust them at all.
