6 weeks is far too long to have to wait for an account to be closed and a credit balance to be refunded, I'm sure it would not take that long if I was the one owing the money. Update I contacted the company as requested and gave them comprehensive details of my current situation. i have been informed that the refund has now been actioned but it will take a further 14 days for me to receive it.

The web chat asks me to review Farha. The Trust pilot site asks me to review Economy Energy. 5 stars to Farha - for dealing with the issue 1 star to Economy Seven - for billing me the wrong amount for 10 months, and not replying to the e-mail I sent.

Customer since March 2018. Several price hikes since joining, from below 13p per unit to 17.48p now. Communication and customer services from the company has been generally poor. Failed to take or request a meter reading from me for 15 months and then requested one just after hiking prices by 18%. It turned out I was way above my estimated usage and they have billed me for all usage at their new inflated price - 35% higher then when I joined. There are better and cheaper energy companies out there.

This review is only about Farha, who was my contact point on the live chat and not the company as a whole. Farha was quick in responding to my questions and explained clearly what was going to happen. In regard to Economy Seven Energy as a company, I have had nothing but trouble since joining them and have been in email conversations back and forth for months. I would only score them 1 star at best and that is being kind. I will wait with bated breath to see if what Farha said was going to happen actually materialises.

I've given them the benefit of the doubt since signing up with them when they first launched as the latest underdog, even through the debacle this winter over direct debit changes. I even switched my second property to their sister company OutFoxTheMarket which has the same parent company Foxglove Energy. I feel very let down by them after their website and associated IT systems re-launched a month ago, which resulted in cancelled direct debits and a massive hike from £105 to £186 per month despite the account being balanced. After two failed attempts to fix this I belatedly ran a price comparison to discover that they'd quietly ramped up the unit tariff and were no longer competitive (the rates on cheaperenergyclub for their tariffs are out of date). Do check the comparison sites are using correct data for the calculations, as Eco7 are not as cheap as they look.

I have been with Economy Seven Energy since November 2018. I must admit when i signed up and my DD was confirmed (remember they changed their DD to Winter and Summer months) i basically refused to sign up to the change and rather paid my bill when it became due. Suffice to say I spent along time on the phone debating and arguing this point with a number of people at the company. Then in January they reversed their decsion and my DD was set at the appropriate number. Suffice to say I was delighted but I had severe reservations and regret for switching. Economy Seven Energy was bombarded with bad press and this made me wonder if I had made a grave error. NOW THE GOOD NEWS, since February this year things started to improve. Then about a month ago they introduced a new website which I should say is OUTSTANDING. In addition I had to call them a few days ago to discuss my DD because my DD was not fully covering the energy I was using. I called and spoke to Patrick. What a lovely professional and courteous agent. He listened he helped he was everything I would expect from an agent. I also just received an email from Joseph kilbourne to confirm my new DD. Again what a courteous and professional email. I was truly overwhelmed and thought wow I am now delighted I stayed with them. I searched high and low and Economy Seven Energy prices were by far the BEST and most competitive. So here is some advice, SWITCH TO THEM NOW. They are OUTSTANDING. If i could have given them 10 stars out of 5 I would have. Message to the CEO and Board at Economy Seven Energy, my sincere compliments on the changes. You have ALL done an outstanding job. TERRIFIC ENERGY SUPPLIER. Switch to them now, you will not be disappointed. Thanks

I switched to Fisher energy back in 2018, as they were cheapest on the comparison site, big mistake... I believed the rates were fixed. 6 months down the line, a £30.00 rise, then another rise, and then another. I was now paying twice the amount I signed up to. Last week, I decided to switch, only to receive an email saying that they have objected, as my account t was £51.00 in debit... bearing in mind, I pay dd every month, the fact that I was behind, is ultimately down to them. I called their customer service and paid the outstanding balance, to then be told that I would now have to re-apply to switch again. They still expect me to pay my next over inflated bill for the full amount next month. I will be watching the final bill reading very carefully, and will expect any overpayment to be refunded immediately. Would never recommend this shower to anyone.

Generally a well run company responsive to queries. My only problem was hiking up the direct debit to cover the winter period which doubled my DD to nearly £300 a month and a lot of customers felt this was not a good policy overall, my only complaint. Good response from Joseph Kilbourne regarding my final bill.

I stayed with them using the debacle over the massive Direct Debit increase. Today I called and to update my reading, as a result i owe £45. Despite this £45 accruing over a 10 month period they wished to jump up DD from £75 to £105 per month (this is with me settling the debit today ). I own a 2 bed flat and live on my own, totally ridiculous amount to pay for electric. I also don't want to create a massive credit balance as i have the feeling that the company will do bust soon. When i questioned the new DD i was told that each meter has a average consumption set my the regulator and that is what they are basing the DD on All seems like a money grab.....avoid people

Had an issue logging in. Was told by online chat they'd fix it but didn't. When I came to try to give meter readings a month later, I tried online chat again. She made me wait 3 + 4 + 2 + 3 minutes between responses (mine were instant). I can only imagine she was chatting to multiple customers at the same time. This is really rude in my opinion as does not make the customer feel valued at all. The only reason they got 2 stars is at least this time they got my log in working so hopefully next month no online chat will be required.

Awful company, dreadful service. Avoid at all costs. They hiked prices three times within a couple of months of joining, over hiked my dd and now are takes over two months to refund my credit balance. I suspect they will go bust soon. Good riddance.

I posted yesterday about Economy 7 Energy taking £120 more than the agreed direct debit. They wanted my account number so they could sort out their problem. My account number is E7E0119295. I'm waiting ....

I'm truly conflicted here. They offer the best deal. Cheapest energy for my usage rate (and I run an electric car so I use a TON!). This should qualify them for 5 stars. However, Economy Seven just seem determined to lose all this goodwill. Firstly, shortly after I signed up with them, they changed the rates to pay more in the winter and less in the summer. I mean switchover date hadn't even arrived yet and they're already mucking it around! I could handle that though, I mean I wasn't really worse off, though I can see how it might cause problems with some peoples careful financial planning. They have changed strategy on that. Then when the direct debits started being drawn, they only take a fraction of what they should and what they told me they would. So instead of £180 (ish), they draw £13.00 (ish)! Every time I email them about it, they fiddle with the numbers but it is still WAAAAAAAAAY under what I am using. I mean it's still not much more than 10% of what they know I am using and what I predicted at the start. Now I'm as happy as anyone to get an amazing deal, but I know it won't last and there is a shedload of chickens running around in a field somewhere looking for a place to come home and roost. Right now I am running up a huge deficit with them and despite all my best efforts, they just don't listen and correct my payments. I don't want to fall behind like this, but what can I do? I can see in the future I am going to end up with a MASSIVE payment to make and they're probably going to say that it's my fault. I'm putting money aside for it, but is the cheapest deal on the market really worth all this hassle? What would you do? Update: Just noticed, the last payment has been increased to a level that I have suggested, which is above my usage, but will hopefully bring the deficit down over the next few months. Maybe there are signs they are turning the corner. Their website has been completely redesigned as well!

Spoke with Joseph, who understood what I wanted, and managed to switch my tariff quite simply. Good job.

Once upon a time there was a company called Economy7 who then changed mysteriously into Fischer Energy and then....Foxglove ! Confused ? eh ? Well surprise surprise , so was I.... It all started very well..... AND THEN ! it came up with the amazing (NOT) idea of messing around with our direct debits.. allegedly supposedly HELPING US ! Really? Well the rest is history because they had so many complaints the decided to switch back to the old and trusted way... But alas it was TOO Late a we had started to leave in droves... Now I must in total fainess say that without exception ALL of the customer service personal were and are very polite and professional, albeit having to work with an extremely misguided, disorganised and time wasting company.........with the exception of James,Danni and Tyler, all realy nice folk................ I really would like to say that it all ended hapily ever after but alas and alack I cannot :( My countless number of phone calls with the wasting of my time has been unprecedented ! So with regret I would respectfully suggest that when you want to play with the big boys that you make sure that you are really ready to go ! AND with more than almost 60% of customers giving you very bad reviews, It is really time to sit up and listen.... P.S I gave 2 stars as there were some redeeming features ! #YourStaff !
