Truly appalling. I signed up with them in February last year and beyond the money coming out of the account I never heard from them until October/November time. Then they tried to implement a winter/summer direct debit system with various and differing communications from then which they finally rescinded with an apology from their management. In January/February they then put their prices up and I started to look at switching away but all the feedback online was that they were having real problems moving from them so I thought I would wait until it settled down. I felt a bit sorry for them as it seemed that they had taken on a bit too much and I can see the logic of their direct debit scheme (just not the implementation) So...by May someone actually called me to ask for a meter reading (the first time since I had signed up) and the tone of the email insinuated that it was actually me that have been neglectful in not providing the information. I gave the reading and then looked to switch. Today I have had a block on my account to stop switching as I owed them approximately £120 and said it was more than 28 days old even though I have always been on an direct debit. Rather than ring me to let me know they put the block on and then contacted me afterwards. On speaking to them the arrogance continued, They still stood by the fact that I should have taken meter reading, I should have paid them the £120 before and once I did, I would need to speak to the new energy company to tell them the block has been reviewed (not them). Everyone makes mistakes and energy companies are known for it but it is the overall culture of believing that what they are doing is right that means that I would recommend everyone stays away. You know it is bad when despite showing they have no logical reason for acting like they do they revert to 'it's company policy'
