United Kingdom | 14 January 2015As many others on here have found, the price they quote is clearly not the price they pay. The phone I sent in was in almost new condition bar some minor cosmetic scratching to the case. They took this as suitable reason to reduce the price by £40 or 20%. Completely unreasonable. Their FAQs state the price quoted is guaranteed as long as the phone is "working". This is clearly a lie. This company is low rated on here for a reason. Don't risk it - go with one of the honest, decent and well rated alternatives.

United Kingdom | 06 January 2015This was the best experience I've had selling my old phone. They gave the best price, and were very trustworthy. The website was very easy to use, and they were extremely helpful and efficient, keeping me updated all the way through the transaction. I received my cheque very quickly.

United Kingdom | 18 December 2014I was offered the best price by fone hub and I saw it rated quite well. I didn't regret my choice as I was able to log on to my profile to check and track my order. A small error occurred where my least recent order was used and I was offered £10 less, however once I wrote an email to explain I had a more recent order, I was sent a speedy reply by email and an apology and I was informed that I would receive the full amount quoted. Excellent customer service. I will definitely be using Fone Hub in the future. Regards Lindsey Crossland

United Kingdom | 17 December 2014My husband got a quote from Fonehub.co.uk for 3 old phones, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s (both with their original boxes with accessories still wrapped), and Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 (in a replacement box but also with accessories in original wrapping). The Ace 3 and the 4s were in perfect condition with no marks or scratches, the iPhone 4 had scratches on the back camera which he told them about. My husband sent the phones off via recorded mail so we could track them. Fonehub offered us the original quoted amount for the 4s, but reduced their offer for the Ace 3 because it was a refurbished phone, and reduced their offer for the iPhone 4 because of the scratches. My husband accepted their offer for the 4s, but asked them to return the other two phones. The two phones arrived today without their boxes or accessories, simply wrapped in a letter and stuffed into a padded envelope!!! I am very annoyed as I feel that they have now lowered the value if these phones by not sending us back the boxes and accessories that we sent out with the phones!!! My husband is going to contact them about this, but I won't hold my breath! I would advise that you avoid this company and try a high street store instead! That way you get a face to face offer and don't run the risk of sending your phone off to a company that will try to rip you off once they have your phone!!!

United Kingdom | 09 December 2014I note the negative and positive opinions. My experience was absolutely first class. I identified their original offer as the best I could find on the internet. After sending in my phone I had problems over my EE upgrade replacement which meant I could not forward the phone I was selling to Fonehub for 3 or 4 weeks. They still honoured the original quote. You get the deal you are entitled from them. I do wonder if many of the negative responses are from people who had unrealistic expectations of their phone's value. So, 100% recommendation based on my experience.

United Kingdom | 07 December 2014I used fone hub as they offered the highest price on the comparison site. I posted my phone and then they emailed to say it was damaged and dropped the offer. This is a scam the phone was in perfect condition and double bubble wrapped. I have complained but they will not give me the original valuation. Do not use them.

United Kingdom | 04 December 2014Before you send your phone to this company - make sure you take pictures of it in working order or in the order that you are selling it. Their slogan on the website says '100% price guarantee or your device back free of charge'... WRONG - they sold mine and offered me 1/5th of the quoted price without getting my approval! I cant get my phone back from them and they are ignoring my complaints!!!!

United Kingdom | 03 December 2014I recently sent off an iPhone 5 16GB with a quoted price of £140. However, they took so long to process my order that they then stated that they would only offer £60 for my phone as 'the order is over ten days old', despite it being due to their incompetence. As such I have requested to have my phone sent back to me but have yet to receive it. I have lodged a complaint with the Trading Standards Authority and would urge others to do the same!

United Kingdom | 29 November 2014I bought a Galaxy Note 3 in February 2014, but decided it wasn't for me, so bought the new iPhone 6 + when they came out. I subsequently did a price comparison on and Fonehub came out one of the best prices. There was a delay in sending me the envelope. Once it arrived, I went to the post office and sent it by special delivery. Later in the week, I received an email saying that the phone had arrived late, so they were revising my offer by about £50. I asked them to return the phone to me. From what seemed like at least a week later, I received another email saying that they would revise my offer again, this was unacceptable to me, so I asked them again to return my phone. A few days later, I received another email asking me that there was a revised offer (not increased) and did I want to accept it or have my phone returned. I asked for my phone to be returned. They then had the cheek to confirm that the phone had been despatched and that they hoped I use Fonehub in the future. I responded that I would rather give a random person my phone for free than use them again. Today, I have received my phone back, but the note inside said the phone was damaged hence the revised price. Stick to your initial story Fonehub. You should NOT be in business

United Kingdom | 21 November 2014I was initially offered £185 for my iPhone 5. Upon receipt the phone was assessed as damaged and I was the offered £80, which I declined. I accept that the minor marks they described on the case existed, but not the screen and camera damage that they described. In my opinion the phone was in significantly better condition then a typical phone would be that was two years old, as it had always been kept in a case with a screen protector. I had wanted to get cash for my phone this way because I thought that it would be quick and easy - obviously not the case for me. After the phone was returned to me, I sold it on eBay for £215. Perhaps the company could state on their website how many of the initial offers are finalised? Probably not I guess because they're trying to make money on it. I'm just cross because it cost me £7 to pay for insured postage to them - the free postage that they offer does not include insurance for items valued over £50 - and wasted time when I wanted the cash quickly.

United Kingdom | 18 November 2014I sent my Note 2 to them on Monday 10th 1st class. I was offered £130 for my phone which is the reason i went with fonehub. They should have received it by tuesday. Got an email on thursday 13th to say they had received it. There website states payment will be sent within 2 working days, so i waited until monday 17th. Phoned them to ask where my money was, after putting me on hold they said i will receive an email shortly. Received an email shortly after saying i had a revised offer of £100.Wasnt too happy about this but i decided to accept the offer. i got an automated email straight away thanking me for accepting the offer. (i should state there was hardly a scratch on this phone!!) Rang them on Tuesday 18th to ask where my money was. They said i had been sent a revised offer and to check my emails. I explained i had already accepted teh offer and they have confirmed receipt of this. They said i will receive an email shortly. Slow, Untrustworthy, Bad Service and seem clueless! Still waiting for my money...

United Kingdom | 18 November 2014they offered online £130 for my Note 2 phone but when i sent them the phone they valued it at £60. I was informed my phone had wear and tear that's why the value decreased. However when submitting the application i told them the phone had general wear and tear and they still came back with low price. I informed them i wanted my phone and it got delivered to my house 2 months later at which point the phone value dropped. Also when i emailed them they took 3 weeks to reply. Ver very poor customer service it was an absolute disguste by the way they do their business please do not deal with them

United Kingdom | 13 November 2014I was very happy with the service, even with a weekend I sent the phone on Friday and the money was in my account the following Saturday, just a day after expected. Friendly customer service on the phone too.
