United Kingdom | 07 May 2016'Sent my iPhone off to them 4 weeks ago using their label. I still to date have heard nothing from them and their website says not received. I do not believe this. They do not answer any phone calls or emails and so I contacted Actionline to report them and also Citizens Advice bureau who told me as they had provided the return label whether it had been received or not they had entered into a contractual agreement with me and that it was their responsibility to pay me and chase up where the phone was. They advised I, in the first instance, send them a recorded letter telling them what I had been told, that they were in breach of contract and demanding they pay me the £90 quoted with 7 days, yet I still have not heard from them. I will now be taking them to court to receive my money. DO NOT USE AND LET'S HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS ASAP!!!

United Kingdom | 18 April 2016This company are legalised robbers. They quoted me a price for my iPhone 5s which was in perfect working order, and then on receipt of my phone, they downgraded the amount, which I rejected. I have emailed repeatedly to ask them to return my phone which they have ignored & have tried to call their office over 100 times, but with no answer. They have had possession of my property now for over one month with no sign of it being returned to me. Only one email was sent to me saying they can return it if I pay £5 and send a picture as proof of payment! WHAT does that mean?! I asked them by email...but still no response. I emailed to say Im prepared to pay £5 for return of my property by PayPal or BACS, but it has to be tracked mail to cover for loss or damage. To date, there is still no response & the phones are never answered. I have reported them to Trading Standards who say that my consumer rights state that I am entitled to either the payment I was offered on line, or have my property returned to me. I can write to them quoting my rights and if that course of action fails, then its off to the small claims court to recover my goods. The only problem is that with a limited company, if they go bust, there is no recourse for compensation. I would advise anyone thinking of using fonehub.....DONT, unless you want to waste your life in complaining to them which causes stress & total inconvenience.

United Kingdom | 28 March 2016Fonehub Ltd advertises higher prices just to get your business and then makes up random defects so that they won't pay the agreed amount. From my own personal experience I would not recommend them. However, if you do decide to use them, make sure that you take plenty of evidence before sending (i.e. photo, video, etc). Thankfully I did do this and even when I submitted evidence they came up with another excuse. In the end I had to resort to threatening legal action and only then did they pay up. I can recommend the advise by Which? if you have a similar experience. It's about time that these dishonest companies were legislated properly.

United Kingdom | 23 March 2016Having read the awful reviews I wanted to test them out. I was offered a good price for a phone which had just been replaced by Samsung and not used to be told the screen had dead pixels and value was dramatically reduced. Had to pay an over inflated price if I wanted it returned, with the hope you would cave in and sell still. After a few emails to confirm that they had the correct device was told after additional testing I had dead pixels and all the apps had burnt into the screen. At this point as planned I visited there address where they demonstrated the dead pixels, which suprisingly could not find and no apps burnt in the screen as told. The 'technician' was a lady sat their in a rented room and not a phone workshop as with the proper companies we had visited before. To top it off the sent out a prepaid label and padded envelope that had insufficient postage so you had to pay the post office to receive your post £2.20. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE AND CAN WAIT.

United Kingdom | 18 March 2016I sent my 4 month old s6 edge 64gb was quotes 275. I waited 3 weeks no contact never answered their phone. I then get an email reduced offer 175 phone has scratches and volume key not working. Absolute nonsense. I needed money so I said fine process payment. They told me in email payment would be processed same day and take 2-3 working days to arrive. 3 days later today I get another email saying that's them just processed it. An absolute disgrace. Wish I had gone with mazuma for 240 Better service no messing around. I too will be in touch with trading standards. Avoid at all costs !!!!!!!

United Kingdom | 14 March 2016Sent my phone on February 18th and it's now March 14th! Never answer the phone and the odd email response I get states someone will look at my phone! Don't trust this company with your phone. I'm now going through MCO to get my money back. They shouldn't be allowed to trade!

United Kingdom | 09 February 2016I sent a fully working Samsung s3 mini to this company and I was offered £29. 2 other devices were sent to 2 different companies for recycling at the same time, which were turned around in days, payment made, job done. What a different story with FoneHub. I've basically not heard from them since. I've emailed constantly, tried ringing, but no one ever answers. I have reported them to the trading standards and it is being investigated. Their website offers 100% guarantee. What a load of rubbish. Their reviews on their site are clearly fake. I wish I'd seen the reviews on trust pilot first. Do not fall for these thieving scammers. What goes around comes around. Karma......!

United Kingdom | 28 December 2015I sent a 6 week old iPhone 5s which was unlocked and in 'as new' condition only for them to email me saying that it was locked to EE and that they had revised my offer of £170 and would now offer £121. I told them that I didn't understand as the phone had been tested prior to sending and it had clearly been unlocked. I have witnesses to this as I had borrowed the sim cards of colleagues to test it. The phone had been replaced through insurance just weeks before and the insurance company have confirmed that the phone was unlocked. When I challenged Fonehub they said that they would get their technician to recheck it and this time came back saying that it was locked to O2. I still have the emails but obviously I was now suspicious and googled Fonehub and found all of the posts from people who have had similar experiences. They basically offer more than their competitors but when they get your phone they revise their offer making up false reasons for doing so. If you ask for it to be returned they ask for £10 postage so your costs start to mount up and make you question whether or not you should just accept the revised offer. Many people who had paid for their phone to be returned apparently never received it and found that they could no longer get any response from the company. I accepted the revised offer in order to ensure that I received something for the phone and will now pursue the matter with MCOL based upon the evidence mentioned above. BEWARE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

United Kingdom | 03 December 2015Sent in my Galaxy S3Mini, a week later got a revised offer as they claimed the phone was pixalated and scratched (which it wasn't when i sent it). After sending an email saying this was not exceptable was told it would cost £10 to get it returned. So i decided to except the revised offer but now they will not answer their phone or the numerous emails i have sent. I now have no phone and no money they are total scammers and need to be shut down.

United Kingdom | 18 November 2015I have also been a victim of the fonehub scam. I sent my brand new iPhone 6 to be sold and they emailed me saying it wasn't new and the offer was reduced. I asked for it to be sent back which they said they would. 8 weeks later i still hadn't received my phone nor any calls / email returned. One day i got another email saying "pay £10 for special delivery and you will have your phone back in 2-3 days"... i sent them another £10 and still didn't hear from them... again another 4 weeks went past. I decided enough was enough and used Money Claim online (MCOL) which is a UK court order which costs £35 (which you can add to the claim).. They get 14 days to respond, which they didn't. On day 16 they called me and said my phone had been "lost" so would i accept 50% of the offered price. I refused and asked the court to make a judgement in the absence of a reply. 3 days later i received the full amount from FoneHub, + £10 P&P and £35 MCOL court costs... Take them to court, detail your claim and they will enviable loose in court and pay you what you were expecting. 3 months it took but i have my money and i'll never use them again, they should be put out of business.

France | 13 November 2015I've been waiting over 6 weeks to get paid. FoneHub claim to have paid me but I haven't seen a penny of what they agreed to pay and I've checked with my bank too. They're impossible to get hold of, they have never answered the phone and on the rare occasion they respond to email, they provide no new information or assistance. It's a scam and they've stolen my phone.

United Kingdom | 05 November 2015Fonehub are the worst company I have dealt with in a long, long time. Despite confirming they have received my phone 6 WEEKS ago I still have not received a payment. They NEVER answer their phone number when you call, even during their limited hours and rarely respond to my emails. Repeatedly tried to fob me off with the promise of money being in my account in 2-3 working days time but of course it never appears - they are thieving con men. I have had to call nearly every day (no response) and email 10 times chasing my money so far and still have not got the agreed value for my phone transferred to me. Absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional - avoid them like the plague.

United Kingdom | 02 November 2015DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I sent my phone to them because they offered the best price and had a professional looking web site which showed some good reviews. Don't be fooled by this as I was. They received the phone then claimed it had scuffs and scratches which i know it didn't. It was in perfect condition. Offered me £18 less than original quote. I eventually agreed to the revised quote in fear of not getting anything. I have now been waiting for over a month and have not had any payment. Im not sure if i ever will. Thieves & scammers.

United States | 30 October 2015Do not ever use this company they are not to be trusted. Falsely said my phone was cracked which it wasn't and reduced the offer price. We had taken a photo of the phone before we packaged it in bubble wrap and sent it to them, they have not responded to any emails DO NOT USE THEM!!!

United Kingdom | 14 October 2015I sent my iPhone 6 in pristine condition to Fonehub on 26 September. Over a week later I received a quote that it had scratches & reduced price by £30. This was a lie but having seen the reviews on various websites that they are a bunch of clowns, I decided to accept their offer. A week later I am still awaiting payment. I've emailed 4 times and rang repeatedly. You can't get through to them. If you are considering using them, DONT! It's really not worth the hassle! I hopefully will receive my payment but to make sure, I am contacting trading standards to get them to conduct an investigation into this fraudulent company! DO NOT USE!

Dave
United Kingdom | 07 October 2015This company habitually offer the best price for your phone until upon receipt it will have been devalued due to scratches or pixel damage. They will then revise their offer which will now be worse than competitors', and stall on payment to you by various ruses. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN!

United Kingdom | 23 September 2015I went to Fonehub as they were simply offering the best price for my Galaxy Note 3. I like to give companies the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reviews, however in this case I wish I hadn't. If you want to get hold of Fonehub be prepared for a long wait, I reckon I made over x 30 calls before I eventually got through to someone!! I also sent in x 4 emails all of which were not answered. In a nutshell I placed my order on 29th August and didn't get paid until the 23rd September.......what happened to the x 2 days promised on their website? This was simple stress I didn't need..........the website is glossy and quite impressive, however this is a complete fabrication of the truth. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, go to a trusted provider.......I know the money might not be the same but at least you might get it.

United Kingdom | 20 September 2015Had email saying received phone awaited email nothin emailed twice got a sorry email saying processed today and 32.00 pound would be in bank within 3 days and then an hour later got revised price of 20.00 as got scuffs on it .it's had cover on and glass screen saver since i bought it ,and still had glass front on, it's a two year old phone they are recycling looks like they put higher price on and then on receiving sent a lower offer ,whish I had read reviews first. Have emailed and wait for reply seems like they do this with a lot of their customers I also got the 'this occasionally happens ' comment .
