Rubbish service

Sent 2 x Galaxy S8 handsets which had both been in cases and had screen protectors on since first day and quoted £297 each. Emailed 10 minutes before they closed saying the “phones were scratched on back and screen” and the quotes were revised to £210 each. Emailed back immediately and rang them to reject the offer. Next working day made my way from York to there office to collect the handsets. They had processed them and had them clearly labelled as Grade A with there stickers. Both handsets were collected and taken to another recycling company which I had sold them to after rejecting the revised quote for £280 each which was paid in full. Inspected by them and confirmed a grade A pristine condition with NO marks or scratches to be seen. It’s your choice who you sell to but beware. All these reviews tell the same story about revised offers. I was lucky and got my handsets back so sellers beware read the reviews and think carefully before using this company. I have contacted Trading standards and hopefully they will take action.

Absolutely horrendous service, rude, lying bunch of amateurs! Phone sent to them, I had a revised offer which I fought and got it back to original price. I then spent weeks on emails and phone calls which were met with empty promises. In the end filed a simple online court judgment and got paid including loss of earnings etc. I highly recommend anyone waiting payment to get online and proceed with legal action. It only costs £25 and you can claim it back, it's the only way you will get paid by these crooks.

Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with by far. A total waste of time and very frustrating experience. Do not think of using them. They really are as bad as all the other reviews.

Looking at the below reviews, I see I'm not the only one who's had this experience.... Sent my old phone to them. it was in near perfect condition - barely a visible mark on it. It was very well packaged in a double layer of bubblewrap inside a padded envelope. Got an email from them a few days later saying the case was badly damaged and offering me half their original offer, or that they would return it if I paid £10 return postage. I had no choice but to accept. I'm quite certain the phone wasn't damaged, but if I'd asked them to return it, I am equally certain it would not have come back to me in the condition I'd sent it!

I sent my phone as the website stated it would pay £350 for my iPhone 7 128GB. Which was in mint condition. Upon receiving it they stated it had marks on the casing, which I know it didn't as it was packed well and I always had a skin on it. They offered £250. This is the first time any recycling website has ever dropped the price so significantly. They wanted to charge £5 to return the phone. I renegotiated and only managed to get them up to £285. It took a further 5-6 weeks with several failed deadlines on there behalf to make the payment to me. The number doesn't connect to anyone and they keep saying the payment will be made tomorrow when it never is. I would steer clear from the company at all costs.

Nothing but thieves, They've had my 3 devices for nearly a month, no payment, no reply to emails, telephone calls unanswered. They even reduced the offered price, They want brand new devices at less than second hand money. Going to use MusicMagpie from now on. Nearly £400 out of pocket :(

what a scam! I sent my phone via royal mail - I trust their service and dont see why we needed to pay additional to post. Clearly, I didnt think that a company would be so bad that they are likely to claim the parcel didnt arrive when likely they have and they are just going to sell it on without paying out. I have emailed numerous times to be sent a generic badly worded email which also proves the company is far from professional or legitimate. To make matters worse I have received an email stating my phone had arrived and I will receive money soon to have this retracted as an error. I plan to complain to trading standards to have the company shut down. Clearly, reviews on their website are fake!

Shame you can't put 0 stars. What a dreadful ignorant untrustworthy company. They made me an initial offer of £75.00 for my perfect condition iPhone 5s. I sent it off and within two days received what now seems to be the normal scamming email that my screen had burnt damaged pixels ! Utter rubbish and lies my phone had been kept in a protective case from new and was unmarked in every way. They revised their offer of £75.00 down to £55.00 I refused and told them to send the phone back. I then received another email with another revised offer for £65.00. I was told if I wanted the phone back it would nearly £9.00 In royal mail special delivery charges. Very p***ed off I accepted the offer. I was told Friday the offer would be "processed " and take 2 to 3 days to show in my account. I made a complaint and submitted 6 further emails which have been ignored!!! Today is Wednesday 5th June 2017 and STILL no reply and STILL no money in my account. I'm furious ! DO NOT USE THIS MICKEY MOUSE COMPANY THEY ARE RUDE IGNORANT UNRELIABLE LIARS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Well where do i begin!!my horrible experience with this awful outfit started when i sold them my phone.the unchecked quote was for £193. With ware and tear thought it would be less but as of time of sending there were no visible faults.phone had been in a case and had screen protection. So £7.25 in postage later off it went.few days later i get the recieved email and then the revised offer email for £143. So i accepted this offer after the email said there was a bit of lcd pixel damage. After 2 days no bac payment.so i call at around 4 and spoke to a chap who said he would look into it.came back to tell me that another revised offer had been made.when i asked how much he said £100.i refused and said i had agreed to the offer of £143 and that i expected that to be paid. Then asked to talk to a manager at which point was told she was busy.didnt give up and finally spoke to a lady who im sure was just in the room at the time and not a manager.said she needed to speak to an engineer and would call me back in 2-3 hours.never did.emailed.never got a reply. On the following monday i called again and was introduced to the u interested lady most have talked about.claimed she was trying to help me after telling me that they were sending my phone back as couldnt be sold on due to pixel damage.she even claimed i knew it had damage before i sent it basically calling me a lier!!asked to talk to a manager and got told one would call me in an hour.never did!! Called back a few hours later and asked to speak to the manger and finally spoke to a guy called Andy. He admitted they hadnt checked the phone properly before sending the revised offer and it was fonehubs error.told him id taken legal advice and been told i had a strong case.he then said he needed to sort the case out and would call me back the same day.never did!!see the pattern forming here!! 2 days later i called again to be greeted by Miss i cant be arsed!!told her Andy hadnt called back and she then went and put my phone on charge.when i asked why she said so she could see the damage and give more info on why they were sending it back.told her i knew why and she then got arsey saying she was trying to help.told her all i wanted to know was if they were paying the £143 or was i taking them to court!! She called back 30 mins later after saying she would in 10.again was unhelpful saying she had spoken to a technician.i again asked to talk to a manager and was told there werent any about.how convenient!!when i asked when a manager was next in was told not till saturday when Andy would be in.this call was on a wednesday!!told her i didnt believe that for 1 min and just got attitude.when i told her id made a complaint about her basically calling me a lier she denied this and said she didnt want to talk to me anymore and hung up on me!!very professional. Called again today to get the full name of Andy and she said she couldnt.more like she wouldnt.again she spouted on about her not calling me a lier to which i told her again what she said. So Fonehub or useless c***s as i now call you i will enjoy my day in court with you and finally getting what you originally offered me.oh yes plus composation for the aggro and stress you have caused. Please please please people dont ever goto Fonehub.it will age you very quickly!!

Input on website, stating on EE, offered £145 for my Sony Xperia Z5. Sent phone off by Special delivery, received a revised offer of £110 as "locked on EE network". Phoned them and disputed the reduced value as had stated on order that it was on EE apart from which, nowhere in the FAQs or Ts&Cs does it use that as a reason to reduce value. Lady who answered phone sounded like she didn't want to be there said would pass back to technicians. That evening received a revised offer of £120, again called this time spoke to manager who revised the offer up to £130. Received and accepted the £130 offer on Thursday afternoon. They say payment within 48hrs, so expected money on Friday or Monday at latest. No money Monday morning. Phoned and was told would be in bank Tuesday , no money Tuesday morning. Phoned again and told would be Wednesday. No money Wednesday morning, phoned again at lunchtime, this time was told would be in bank by 1530 - asked them to email me proof of payment. Finally got an email at 1507 to say they have processed the order, but not the proof that I had asked for. Checked bank again at 1530 and couldn't believe the money was finally in. Unless you want a major headache trying to phone them, if you are lucky enough to then then talk to a young "lady" who although not rude was quite unhelpful with a couldn't care less attitude and have plenty of time to negotiate your reduced order value and then more time to chase the payment, I would NOT recommend this company to anybody. My distinct impression is that if I hadn't chased 3-4 times for the money and threatened to pass on any bank charges that I may incur due to non payment as per contract or on time causing me to go overdrawn, I honestly believe they had no intention of processing the payment - although am obviously unable to prove anything. Score for service out of 10 = 3 at best! Just don't waste your time, go with a reputable company like Mazuma, OK the offer may be lower but they generally stick to and pay the quote price- but if you're not happy with it, return phone free of charge. I have sold over 4 phones to Mazuma and never had a moment's problem. Use Fonehub once (and never again) and receive nothing but hastle! It turns out, I was suckered in like many others on this forum by Fonehub's higher quote.

Sent my phone in the packaging provided. Claimed they haven't received it (stupidly I didn't get a proof of postage). Customer Service emails are full of grammatical and spelling mistakes, spoke to the manager who said as I used their packaging the phone was covered so would make a claim. Manager also asked me to take down poor feedback, which I did in the hope he would help me out. I'm posting this again as I've not heard anything in weeks.

I sent my phones away over a week ago I selected to have the money sent by bacs and the website states 48hr (2 working days) pay out. Thursday this week I had to chase where the payment was as I had not heard anything back to which a very in helpful girl answered who sounded like she didn't want to be there at all she said the phones were still with the technical department and I would hear back today, 3 hours later I got a email which was a revised offer due to over scratches over normal wear and tear (this is rubbish) but also it was locked on EE and I didn't realise so I accepted the revised offer Thursday night. friday morning I got a email asking me to deposit £10 into my account so they could send the phones back as requested by me. I called them straight away to which I got the same unhelpful girl who told me there was a mistake she would speak to the manager and call back. Dinner time in the Friday still no call so I called back again same unhelpful person was very rude and basically told me to get lost she would be in contact when she had spoke to the manager. It's now Saturday so guess there closed even though each time I phone I get user busy, this number is not taking calls or it just rings. I will call Monday and demand my payment plus compensation for the number of calls the lack of service and the stress of worrying this is a scam or I will take this further not only trading standards this is theft as my online account (screen shot taken) states my phone has been received and the payment is pending. If there is no reply Monday I will post another review as this clearly is a SCAM.

This company is a joke!!!!!!! Should seriously have monkeys managing the phones, they would certainly have more people skills and actually be able to do their job! I asked for the phone I sent them to be returned (after them saying it was a fake-which was an old contract phone) which they have refused to do without me paying postage. So I will be taking this further, I gave them benefit of doubt and told them they had until today to send it back free of charge (as I was able to send it to them free of Charge) so a word of advise for people wishing to use this company in future.... don't. Go to envirophone or mazuma cause I've used them in past and had no problems! I will continue to post and review them daily until the handset is returned to me! So can I ask that you please share away. Thanks

UPDATE(NEVER WAS PAID OUT, LOST MY PHONE TO THE THESE SCAMMERS) Very poor company to deal with. Did not listen to previous reviews and had the same problem with them claiming they never received the phone. If this is the case for yourself REPORT IT STOLEN. This will ensure the imei is blocked they will off course use it for repairs but it's better than them getting the full resale value. Run by Chavs who call saying "I'm calling about your phone init we ain't recivded it fam" I found this funny but not professional at all. Complain to trading standards aswell as I have done they can only get so many before they are investagated.

Be Vary wary of this company, they revise your offer even if it is factory sealed box without reason. You then go on the website and they are still quoting the price they first quoted you. It seems they entice you in with the best prices then once they have the devices offer you less than other sites hoping you will not be bothered with the hassle. I am currently drafting my letter to trading standards/wachdog.

No explanation as to why they reduce the price only sorry it happens some time In response their reply it is actual rubbish, I will shortly pu list photos of the sealed boxes and their email reducing the price and a a week later still no payment despite several promises via email. I am now reporting them for Fraud and theft
