United States | 26 August 2023Terrible customer service. Booked an RV trailer with Cruise America (Meridian, Idaho location) a few months ahead, travelled all the way across the country just to find out the reservation was SILENTLY CANCELLED. No emails (I verified), no phone calls, NOTHING. Talked to the manager of this location (Clyde), what a piece of work this guy is. Rude, obnoxious, blaming me (the customer) for the cancellation, calling me names and claiming that he has nothing to do with cancellation and Cruise America cancelled it. Well, I called Cruise America, they could not find any records of cancellation, so they restored the reservation. Just to have it cancelled AGAIN in a few hours by that same manager. It was a high season, maybe they are overbooked or whatever, but that's just not an excuse to treat customers like that. Fortunately I was able to book an RV on RVShare: got a better RV for comparable price, not coming back to these clowns. ========================= Edit / response to Cruise America: guys, the fact that you refunder the reservation that YOU cancelled is neither unexpected nor a favor to the customer. You did not provide a service: of cause you should refund the money. The issue here is that you cancelled the reservation without notice and failed to make it right even though the trailer was available. You let people like Clyde at your Meridian location represent Cruise America brand even if they may not be a good fit to represent your brand. Which would inevitably lead to your business decline if you don't fix it soon. Make sure you have the right people / local businesses representing you brand.

United States | 26 August 2023Talked to a person that seemed unhappy with their job. All we needed to do was cancel a reservation.

United States | 26 August 2023Nothing but headaches. Lost my deposit things weren’t explained to me. Got into it with a phone representative. Finally talk to a nice guy who tried to help me but he just couldn’t help me. His hands were tied. I’ll never rent from them ever.

France | 25 August 2023We rented a RV on CruiseAmerica for a 2 months period and clearly, customers’ well being is not their priority ! We’ve been driving the RV without a functionning fridge for the whole trip because twice we’ve been told to bring it to some place to be checked and repaired, twice we’ve been told it was repaired and it was not. We preferred continuing our trip without going to a third place cause it meant changing our itinerary. As a solution, they told us to buy ice and a cooler, which would be reimbursed. At the checkout time, when we brought all receipts to be reimbursed, the checkout lady told me we would not be reimbursed, we had to talk to Customer Relationship service (which is not we’ve been told). We had to insist to be refunded during checkout. We’ve been driving during summer, so not having a fridge, with 3 kids, was a pain for many reasons. Our trip has been stressful and complicated because of that. After trying to be compensated, we received a discount which represents 0,3% of the cost of our rental. This is not acceptable. The rented RV have good mechanics, we drove 9.000 miles without a problem, but there’s no comfort. No sun protections on the sides, no chairs without paying an extra, nothing to do some quick cleaning, so you have to bring or buy furnitures ! To be fair, we had a car accident, and the Traveler’s assistance team told us how to deal with it and after we sent all infos, we never heard of them after, it was a satisfaction. Last, the checkins and outs moments: The checkin was super speed, we had the feeling the guy wanted us to leave quick. 2mn after we drove, a part on the side flew over, we had to come back to have another one !! The checkout was not appreciated: the lady was super cold. After 2 months rental and a big problem with our fridge, we anticipated to be taken care of and it’s been awful. Had to negotiate to be refunded for our ice and our cooler, and the frige problem was not their problem!!

United States | 24 August 2023We rented our RV 24 hrs ago. 8 hrs into the trip, a fuse blew resulting in no lights in the cabin except the light above the sink.We were fumbling with iphone lights in the dark trying to get two kids and ourselves, ready for bed.Additionally the outlets don't work so we cannot charge our phones which we rely on for GPS and any emergency contact. Over the next 16 hrs (late night and starting at 6:30am) we spoke to 5 different agents total. After sending a picture of our circuit board to agent Miki, she confirmed the RV we were rented, had the wrong fuse placed into the circuit board(likely from previous renter) which resulted in it blowing. She also stated the circuit panel should have been inspected prior to releasing the vehicle to us, which clearly it wasn't. Also there were no replacement fuses in the glove box as the first agent stated there should have been. Despite these issues and us being given a RV with faulty fuse box, Cruise America has repeatedly refused to send a service technician to service the issues. They keep asking us to make a five hour round trip south to Flagstaff even though we are at the Grand Canyon and heading north in a day and a half to arrive in time for our remaining reservations. We have also been waiting for the supervisor Will to acknowledge and return our situation which has not yet happened. We finally found someone from a garage to look at the control panel. He confirmed there is a short in the panel which is why the fuse kept sparking when we tried to replace it. He cautioned this could lead to shorting out the entire panel and creating more severe issues. We are still waiting for Will to return our call and address this situation, but it doesn't seem like receiving an RV with a faulty system that could potentially short out the entire system is concerning enough for him to contact us. We understand things happen, but when you have a mobile service technician but refuse to dispatch him to address the faulty RV you rented to us, it becomes completely unacceptable.

United States | 22 August 2023We bought our vehicle Jan 31st. On our first trip, the engine light came. We took it to an area rv dealer who repaired frayed wiring to the battery and a leak in the transmission coolant line. 2nd use of the rv the same issue of the engine light happened. This time the diagnostics showed engine misfire. The vehicle was taken to a frequently used Ford service center by Mesa Cruise. Repairs were made and vehicle returned to us. On our 3rd use, the same problem of engine light occurred. Again the issue of engine misfire was diagnosed. It is now awaiting parts for an engine rebuild, and has been awaiting service since July 6th. Of the 6+ months of ownership, we have had 9 days of use of this vehicle.

United States | 20 August 2023Unfortunately, we were an able to use our rental because of someone got sick with Covid, but was very happy to hear you would give us a credit for the deposit that we can use at another time, good customer service. Thank you.

United States | 20 August 2023Horrible experience with Fillmore location. No customer service. Not shown vehicle at all. Given a vehicle with no working Air Conditioning. When we told him he was unsympathetic. Luckily another similar vehicle was going to be ready soon so we waited. We then had to pack and unpack again in the heat never offered assistance, water, nothing. Never told how to use new vehicle. When we returned it the place was closed. I called you 3 times and kept getting hung up on finally someone told me where to leave the keys. Never again.

United States | 17 August 2023One of the doors to the outside bottom storage area (entire bottom rear of RV) did not have a lock on it, which resulted in our supplies going all over the road three seperate times. We lost so much gear and when I reported this to the manager when I returned it, he said "that sucks" then went on with this inspection even after I purchased the insurance! The A/C was room temp only when on generator or plugged into shore power.
