United States | 14 August 2023One of the biggest selling points for us to rent from Cruise America was that if anything at all went wrong, you just had to let Cruise America know and they would take care of it. We reached out on day 2 of our trip with several concerns - the speedometer wasn't working (we had speedometer apps on our phones we were able to use along with a phone holder so we could drive safely until this was resolved), we hit some weather and the RV was leaking over one of the bunks, and there was also water bubbling up from the floor. I let staff know about these issue and where we would be so that they could direct us to have the RV inspected and repaired - instead, we were told to "keep an eye" on everything and just keep going. This was incredibly disappointing considering we had another 20 days of the trip to continue on with. We ended up having to keep towels on the floor and bunk to deal with the water and used our phones as speedometers the entire trip (well over 100 driving hours). The refrigerator also leaked starting after the first week and we dealt with that as well. Overall, we tried not to let this affect the trip, but for the amount of money that we spent to rent the RV, it was really frustrating. Getting hold of the dealership afterwards has also been useless. We dropped the RV off a day early and I asked for the last day to be taken off the bill as exchange for all the trouble we put up with the RV and we were told that the dealership would reach out to Cruise America and let us know if they could work something out - turns out, the dealership you rent from controls your contract, and they just didn't want to say so. I would not rent from this company again. Update: I did send Cruise America an email in response to their reply to this review (see below) with details about the problems I had during our trip as well as with getting in contact with the dealership we rented from...they were very kind in their response and credited me for the night we did not use the rental.

United States | 14 August 2023We rented the Large RV for our family of 5 (2 Adults & 3 kids) from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana location. We had a great trip from Louisiana to Florida and back. We had trouble getting the refrigerator to reach the proper temperature on propane but it worked properly when plugged into shore power. Other than that, everything else worked properly! Thanks!

United States | 14 August 2023Reservations were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we had to cancel due to a change in plans. That process was seamless as well.

Also auch zuerst mal eins finden .......

United States | 13 August 2023The vehicle was great… it did everything we needed. But what made this a great experience was excellent customer service! The guys at the Germantown location were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous!

United States | 12 August 2023The RV I rented had water that smelled like rotten eggs from an unsanitary water tank/heater. This is ironic given that their website advertises this as a “rare issue” that should not happen for a Cruise America RV. When I complained to Cruise America, they sent me back and forth to resolve things with the dealer and ultimately I had to dispute with my credit card.

United States | 11 August 2023We enjoyed our RV and it was a great experience. I believe the next time we rent will go for the bigger truck due to the more increased space. But overall our experience is really good on this vehicle

Canada | 11 August 2023Why don’t you send a ‘thank you for booking ‘ when a deposit is made. I did not receive any confirmation or communication. I should have received an email to confirm at time of booking. I did a booking in January, I didn’t hear of anything until Aug when I didn’t p/u the RV.. I even used the chat on your website and they couldn’t find my res. I checked email from as far back Oct 2022 . It’s really disappointing on the lack of communication. I had to book else where, you also have scammed $300 deposit . NO I would not recommend. Aug9 I was shuffled around told to call two different numbers, no one wanted to help, then advised to email Relations. How is this going to be resolved?

United States | 10 August 2023Nothing went wrong with the customer service rep I spoke to when I called to cancel my reservation. The problem was with the Mt Laurel, NJ, pick-up site. I had a few questions and called that office and got a message that they were closed for the next WEEK. This was 8 days before we were scheduled to pick up the vehicle. I wanted to know what the exact year and model was of the RV, if it was OK to leave a car there while we were gone, and other important questions. Then I saw the Yelp reviews, which confirmed the bad feeling I was getting. I didn't mind the comments about rude clerks (I'm from Jersey, remember), but the comments about the condition of the vehicles were alarming. So I canceled and found a better deal going through RVShare.

Belgium | 10 August 2023I want to give 0 stars! My boyfriend and I rented an RV for our roadtrip in Canada. After 4 days we got in a terrible accident. Our RV was completely destroyed. Luckily we got out of it alive and we didn't have to go to the hospital. We tried in the ambulance to call them and were told that they couldn't help us without the Unit number. We knew the licence plate but not the Unit number as this was on our vehicle keys (so left in the accident). They hang up the phone multiple times. Without a vehicle or a place to stay, the police dropped us off at a hotel. The next day we called again and again and again each time we were put on hold for over 45 minutes. In the evening we got an e-mail that we could pick up a new RV the next day with also the mention that they are not paying back any costs we made in de days after the accident (hotel stays, uber, cancelations, ...). If we were helped immediately, we could have avoided these extra costs. We took all the insurances, zero damage packages, everything in order to have a 'worry less vacation' but still they won't do anything to help. They even said we should be glad that they have a new RV for us, as normally people can't continue their trip after such an accident. Very horrible experience with them.
