I bought an Asus gaming laptop from Xotic PC in late 2020. The buying process was smooth. The delivery time was very long (as expected during the pandemic), so I don't know if it's improved since. What I can say is that this computer has been the most defective I've ever owned, and I've had many Macbooks, Toshibas, Dells, etc. My schedule doesn't allow me to use the machine much, so I've racked up maybe 100 hrs of usage in 3 years. I treated this system with the utmost care. So you can imagine my surprise when the screen cracked from a slight tap. I paid $100 extra for top quality, but it turns out the hinging was too tight and created tension over time. It cost nearly $300 to fix including shipping and the replacement screen has obvious light bleed. Okay, well that's a shame, but I didn't notice the problem in warranty, so I could live with that. Since then, however, I used the machine twice and the wifi adapter stopped working. They suggested I do an EC reset, so I did. Now the machine stopped booting altogether. So now I have to pay the shipping AGAIN for them to fix. They get back to me and say the motherboard is fried - $1500+ or just get a new computer! I already spent ~$3600 on this machine for a little over 100/hrs of usage - this is not okay! It seems clear that something happened during "repair" or I just got an absolute lemon of a system. Either way, they don't seem to care. I talked to Jeff, who I see is referenced all over these reviews. He's reasonable, but has no options. He constantly apologizes how they can't do anything. They will take no responsibility for clearly shoddy work. I get that they "test" the systems, but clearly they are missing something if it fails like this after getting it back from them. Expect multiple repairs, large shipping costs, and every interaction to take a week or more. Expect no discounts or creative options to solve problems that they may or may not have created. Save your money, save your time and shop elsewhere! >>> UPDATE: December 15, 2023 <<< Xotic PC responded to this review last week with many apologies and contrition about their processes and customer experience. The offers I received after a series of correspondances were as follows: - "We can source a $1000 motherboard, but it's not certified" - "We can replace your system and transfer your upgrades for $900 plus shipping, but there's only a two week warranty" - "We can slightly discount a new system and transfer your upgrades, and it will have a regular 1 year warranty" What I wanted was just for my computer to be repaired without shelling out more money - none of these options are what I wanted. However, they did make an attempt to compromise, so I went with their last option. I want to come away from all of this with a functional computer that has some kind of coverage. Here are my final take-aways for anyone thinking of purchasing a computer from Xotic PC: - Jeffery is the only person I ever talk to or get emails from. Maybe he's the whole company? I don't know. - Xotic PC is not a manufacturer, even though they say they are in their ads and on their phone line. They are a computer distributer/modder for companies like Asus, etc. and offer no warranties or guarantees for their work that's not covered by the manufacturer. - I found it difficult to get better options from them until posting a review about my poor experience. I wish that wasn't the case. Maybe I just got a lemon from Asus? Maybe Xotic PC messed it up? I can't say with total certainty. What I do know is I spent over $3200 on a computer that I only got to use a handful of times. I've now spent another $1500 in shipping, repairs and replacements. At best, I will receive a functional computer and some used computer parts. I'll update this review if that goes well. Wish me luck.

I just received my son's PC, it's a Xmas gift, the packaging was absolutely out of this world. You could've dropped it off a three story building and it would've survived without a scratch. Great great packaging. I will write another review once it's hooked up. Oh and spoke with Alex over the chat and the customer service was stellar! Thanks you XOTIC PC

We at my company have very specific requirements. The build options for the laptops were handy, easy to use, and covered our specific use case wonderfully. The staff was quick to reply to emails and set up our unique account requirements for purchasing. Looking forward to doing continued business with Xotic in the future.

I just bought my first customize laptop and I love how I had so many different options and was able to customize components of the laptop that I want. There was also plenty of support questions in case I had questions and they were also very nice with welcome messages

Your customer service was fantastic. My wife did the research and she talked to an agent that was very patient with her and helped her build the system I was looking for. I simply told her what I wanted and he showed her how to do it.

Due to some investigating on my end. I drove 80 miles to retrieve the product I ordered. Just to open the box and met with extreme disappointment & discomfort. The laptop straight out of box the 17.3 inch 240hrz screen that I ordered doesn’t even turn on. Is this what I’m paying almost 4 grand for? A half finished work? Skipped steps? I didn’t even ask for a rushed order, got it anyway. I shall be in contact with costumer support Monday first thing in the morning to see if we can fix the issue or to see if I need to send the laptop back in order for xotic pc to get it right on the second go around. As Of 12/18/23 my issue has been resolved with no extra fees (since I live in the America) or other complications. I am happy with my purchase.

The site was easy and the fact we can see all the choices made it feel very easy. I felt like a kid in a candy store with the options I could pick from and on top of that if they didnt work they let you know.
