Took my two teenage children (17/15) on this glacier walk tour and they loved it. Said it was the highlight of our entire stay in Iceland. I have to agree. Very interesting. Beautiful. And great guides (Christian and Jon?)

I came to Iceland for an adventure, not to be loaded into a bus with a hundred tourists. Luckily, IMG was able to deliver me an exciting adventurous experience as well as providing lots of information along the way. I had Ludvig (Not sure I'm spelling it right) as a guide, and he was very friendly and informative. I've recommended it to a lot of friends and I would 100% do again.

When undertaking a journey where the environment is beautiful but at the same time calls for caution and safety you want a professional guide that is a wonderful person but also is cautious, with safety first. Icelandic Mountain Guides have that. I have been hiking with them all over Iceland for four years now and every time it has been an excellent experience. I highly recommend them.

After I had some trips with big companies which drove you in full busses to the sights I was very surprised to find myself in a minivan with only one other participant and the tour guide. Our guide then drove us to an area filled with hot springs where we took a hike. It was more demanding than i thought but the guide had always an eye on our condition and we were able to take a break wherever we needed one. Since the road to the hot spring, we wanted to take a bath in, was blocked by a wall of snow our guide took us to a swimming pool instead where we were able to experience a part of the everyday life in Iceland. Afterwards we stopped to pick up to other guests which joined us on the glacier part of the tour. After a short introduction with the equipment we received, we startet our hike on the glacier. It was an amazing experience! Our guide always held an eye out to show us some unique spots on the glacier and was also very helpful as all of us wanted a nice picture taken with the glacier. One our way back to Reykjavik we made a stop at a beautiful waterfall. All in all it was the best day I had in Iceland. You don't get the feeling of being a tourist but rather fell included in the Icelandic culture. Our guide was amazing and even though he wasn't to chatty he always had a precise answer to any on our questions and had a lot of knowledge about the nature. I would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to see more of Iceland than the touristy spots around Reykjavik and really experience the fantastic nature of Iceland.

We booked online before we left the UK in January 2015. The booking office were very helpful in advising us and responded promptly to e mails. As we were travelling independently, we booked our walk for midday to allow us enough time to drive from our hotel that was situated near the Blue Lagoon. Because the roads are slow in winter, independent travellers need to be aware of the potential travelling time (it took us 5 hours). However with a good car, the route is safe and accessible even as you leave the main roads to head up to the car park near the glacier. Our glacier walking experience was well worth the drive. We were fortunate enough to visit on a clear and bright day that intensified the colour and took away the chill even though the outside temperature was -7 degrees. We had an adventure like no other! Our guide was highly experienced and very knowledgeable. He judged our abilities well and set us realistic challenges that enabled us to explore the glacier safely. I would happily repeat the experience!

We did a glacier walk with this company and it was incredible. The guide was really good and told us lots of interesting things throughout the walk, took photos of us when we wanted and made sure we didn't fall in!! 100% must do in Iceland.

Beautifull location. Good Transport and equipment. The guides knew a lot about the glacier, enough photostops. Safety first! Tips: it was a short walk. It would have been great to walk further / longer on the glacier. A bit more adventure...

The guided walk across the glacier that we went on was wondeful not only because of the environment and scenery but also because of our knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. We were well looked after, felt safe and as if we were in capable hands. Well worth the price and time.

What an awesome trip! We highly recommend the "Take a walk on the Ice side" tour. I was really worried about the level of difficulty since I am in just okay shape. But it was easy and so worth it. This experience was my favorite, better than even the Northern Light experience (which was awesome too). The Glacier is so beautiful, its something everyone should experience, if they can. We were able to bring our cameras on our neck and take some really great photos. The guides explain everything you need to know to be safe and are really friendly. You will definitely be worn out afterwards, kind of how you feel after a day of skiing. The return trip stop at the waterfalls are also spectacular. We saw rainbows at both sites. The only negative about this tour, is that the last bathroom stop is pretty early. It would be great if they would have a bus with a bathroom on it too. So it is a long time before you get a rest stop. But don't let this stop you. You will be so happy you had this experience if you go. It's breathtaking and fun to go on this tour.

We had an excellent day of glacier hiking with Icelandic Mountain guides. Our group was split into smaller, more manageable groups, which I really appreciated. Our guide was very knowledgable and personable, as well as had a good sense of humor. We would absolutely recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides to friends and family.

A fantastic experience to say the least. Everything was wonderful, from our conscientious and knowledgeable guide and chef extraordinaire Maxime, to everyone involved with transporting our group to and from the facility. The trails were amazing and the landscapes and views were spectacular. In short, I hope to have a chance to return one day in the future, and highly recommend the experience to friends and family. Many thanks for a wonderful experience! Merci! Pierre

The ice caves were amazing. Our guide, Thor, was great. He lead us into the caves safely and with some fun and gave us ample time to explore and take photos.
