United Kingdom | 21 January 2015We did the Glacier Walk with Northern Lights tour. We started off with visiting a waterfall , followed by a Glacier Walk which was really exhilarating. This was the first time we had been on a Glacier and felt we were in very good hands. The scenery is amazing. After this we had dinner which was lovely and we were not lucky enough to see the Northern Lights due to poor weather. However we did visit another waterfall and climbed behind it which was something quite special. Our disappointment at not seeing the Northern Lights was overcome by a very enjoyable special day.

Netherlands | 14 January 2015A wonderful trip with a friendly, knowledgeable guide with a lot of "saga's" and his reliable landrover with which he takes us without any problems throughout the country. Shows us all the best spots during the day and surprising resting places for the night. Serves simple but delicious dinners. This is the best way to enjoy Iceland. If you have the money to spend on this trip, don't hesitate, it's worth every penny of it.

United States | 11 January 2015We took a glacier walk/aurora tour with IMG in March 2014. While the clouds foiled our aurora hopes, it was a phenomenal tour, including a couple hours exploring the glacier and a traditional dinner. Our guides were incredibly knowledgable about history, geology, and any other subject pertinent to a visit to Iceland. By far, this was the highlight of our visit!

United States | 11 January 2015The mountains and sea shore of eastern Iceland were awesome, the skills of our guide Helene in regards to hiking and knitting were top notch, the food, new friends, and skills were excellent. This trip was a wonderful blend of physical challenge, learning, and pleasure.

United States | 10 January 2015This is a must do trip! And Icelandic mountain guides are very professional and trained. The glacier hikes was about 3-4hr. I would recommend anyone visiting to go for this.

Canada | 10 January 2015We did the 4 hour glacier tour. We were 4 and there were 8 others in our tour. The guide we had was wonderful and competent. She explained what we would be doing, ensured that we had the correct fitting safety gear and wore it properly, taught us how to put on crampons and spent about 1/2 an hour getting us to practice on the glacier (uphill, downhill, across etc.) then we toured the glacier, she showed us how to tie in and lastly was gentle when reminding us that we were drifting off the safe path. The equipment was well maintained and the drive to the foot of the glacier was comfortable. Overall it was an excellent experience that led us to want more and to keep with this company.

United Kingdom | 09 January 2015Thoroughly enjoyed my two hour walk on the glacier. My guide was very knowledgeable in relation to the location and all aspects of safety. She was enthusiastic and made my walk very pleasurable and helped to create lifelong memories. She also instigated great opportunities for the taking of personal action photos.

United Kingdom | 09 January 2015Our tour guide was Anna Stina and her rating lies somewhere between incompetent and unintentionally dangerous. If there was an emergency, which thankfully there was not, I am not convinced Anna had the necessary skills to handle the situation. I give 2 stars only because she was not rude. Anna might be an outdoors-woman (one who is comfortable outdoors) but that does not make her a guide. Her time management skills were terrible. Her ability to be speak English was passable at best; it was best to use short sentences and avoid anything complex. Her ability to guide is atrocious - she got lost on several occasions and led us in circles while attempting to rely on a GPS. When we weren't lost she could be seen on several occasions making personal phone calls (when there was cell coverage). Her cooking was edible although pan-fry and deep fry mean the same thing to her and most everything is pan fried. To her credit, the one and perhaps only thing, is her utter and unshakable love of Iceland. Based on this experience I would extremely reluctant to ever use this company again. The value for money and competence of their guides is wholly unacceptable.

United Kingdom | 09 January 2015Great day exploring some of Iceland's natural phenomenon. Very friendly and enthusiastic guide / driver considering he had probably done it many times before . Looking forward to a return visit and another adventure.

Spain | 08 January 2015We have a very good guide, and we talk a lot about Iceland and travel. The celandic Mountain Walking Tour is definitely a fantastic experiment, and make us learn a lot about the earth and nature. Thank for our guide! One day I'll come back to Iceland again!

United States | 08 January 2015It's not often you can walk on a glacier; this is the place to definitely do it. Our guide, Stefan, was knowledgeable and entertaining. As we walked the glacier he shared stories of Icelandic history and fun stories. He was always cautious about our safety as my group included children. I highly recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides.

United States | 07 January 201580 km six day hike with several friends from High school, we had one guide, and one driver who drove our camping equipment from camp to camp as we hiked the ejafjallajjokull glacier/volcano. We had an unforgettable journey, with great thanks to our guide: very knowledgeable, experienced, catered to everyones needs (could walk slow or fast depending on how the group felt... we ended up finishing the hike in four days, as the guide was flexible), funny, friendly, and we felt very comfortable and safe with him.

Taiwan | 07 January 2015The staff are professional and nice. I enjoyed the journey.

Canada | 07 January 2015The guide was great, and so was the experience! Only problem was that we were missed at our hotel for the pick up to the Glacier walk. If I would not have contacted the company, we would have been left behind. The bus was forced to wait for us until we could connect with them. There was also a problem with the bus breaking down on the way back from the walk, which caused a delay, I would have been very concerned if I would have had to catch a flight.

Singapore | 07 January 2015Our guide spoke good English, he was friendly, and professional. He explained the dangers and techniques of hiking on ice rather thoroughly. He was also in good physical condition and mentally alert, which is very important. He not only has to take care of himself but also for the 2 of us.
