The lady guide took us to the glacier, She was looking at her watch all the time, 20 minutes before the end of the tour, she decided that the tour ended and we went off the glacier. When she noticed that she brought us back too early, we returned to the ice and waited there with small talk until the official end of the tour,

Driving around the South of Iceland we were struck by the number of glaciers there are, but actually being on one was out of this world! The walk was pitched well for a group of variable abilities and we were given a good level of equipment. Our guide Oktovia was full of energy, enthusiasm and knowledge, making the trek interesting at every turn. A wonderful experience, thank you so much!

We had a great hike with Kamil from Mountainguides.is. We did the full day glacier hike in a small group of five clients. Kamil was very knowledgeable about glaciers, and we had a lot of fun during our hike (including an ice cave, crevasse jumps and a bit of ice climbing).

If someone had told me to walk for hours uphill every day for 5 days I probably would have met them with a lot of doubt. On this trip, however, that is exactly what I did. I have never been a part of something as quiet and serene as the Icelandic landscape. Having read some reviews I wanted to be more clear. I wanted the trip to be difficult, I wanted to challenge myself to travel in a way I never had before. I really enjoyed the isolation from civilaztion, the quiet nights, the beauty of snow when its just fallen. If I wanted luxury I would have booked a hotel, if I wanted an easy tour I would have booked a one day or two day trip. The guides here are informed, they have your safety in mind at all times, they've done this thousands of times. Being amongst the incredibly kind and informative guide and the family that was also in my group was the best part of all. I loved being away from my native language when the family I was with spoke German with the guide. I would recommend a thousand times over, I myself would go again if ever I have the chance. Thank you Ivar for the opportunity and the stories. Consider what you want before booking, I loved every second.

If you expect to see blue ice in the blue ice tour experience, be ready for black ice due to the vulcano's eruptions. Name of the tour should be changed to avoid confusions. It is mainly a photograp session, you do notwalk far away either

The whole 6 day exploring trip was well organized and executed, we had a really good time exploring the treasures of Iceland - magnificent nature! We may not have experienced what we had without taking this package tour. The only disappointment is that most of the group are French (8 out of 10 pax) so most of the conversations are in French and I'm sure we would have left out some information even though the guide also explained to us in English. So for anyone who are English speaking only, please double check or triple check this point, otherwise you may feel very left out especially when some conversations cannot be really translated.

Booked the Mountain Guides for a group of 6 friends back in Early September. When we arrived, there were only 2 other people in the group so total of 8 plus our guide. The guide was very professional and knowledgeable about the history of the glacier and the area and made sure everyone was comfortable with the route chosen. Being on the glacier was an amazing experience. Highly recommended to others.

We used Icelandic Mountain Guides for a five day Laugavegur trek. Our guide (Thora) was fabulous - knowledgeable, organized, and fun. The support provided before and during the ride were excellent. I'd highly recommend them.

The hikes were beautiful. Food was fair. Huts were awful. They should call them hostels or dorms. Depending on the 'hut', be prepared to sleep with 10-20 people bunking in one room. Each hut would have 3-4 rooms likewise. Day 1, everyone in the hut had to share 2 outhouse that smelled awful. Day 2, the entire hut had only one working toilet/shower. Disgusting. We asked around and discovered that it would be like that every day which is not what the website says!!! We left after day 2! No refund. This is a trip for teenagers on low budget. You meet some nice people.
