I had a great experience with Icelandic Mountain Guides. Their service was easy to book, competitively priced, and the guide was great. The location was spectacular, though I will admit the ice had a lot more ash on it than I was expecting. Not to worry, still some blue ice, and some really interesting crevasses etc.

I went ice climbing with IMG, and had a fantastic adventure. Gear was comfortable and well-maintained gear. The guide was very friendly and patient with me as a first-time ice climber. He happily took photos of me, as I was solo on the tour. He was a very experienced guide, and it was apparent that he loved his job, and loved climbing on his own time as well. When I return to Iceland, I will definitely book again with IMG. I can't say enough good things!

Our guide, Stefan was an absolute gem! Not only did he have some funny Icelandic based stories, but a sound understanding of Iceland's geological history and the rock formations. First rate guide and pretty good off roader as well ;-). As a bonus his daughter came along for the journey - it turned out she was also a first rate tour guide!

Our 4x4 Guide & Driver Stefano did a fantastic job. Apparently 80 people headed out to our Mountain Hut, but only us 3 & 17 others made it through the difficult icelandic snow. He ensured we were safe, & educated us on our long drives with information on volcanoes, icelandic history, & the Sagas. He also helped us navigate our way in & out of hot springs at midnight, way out in the wilderness. The team ensured we were well catered with wonderful vegetarian food. Stefano even had ice-grip shoe attachments on hand to ensure we could traverse the sights. The 48 hour trip was the highlight of our holiday.

Had a great few hours walking onto the glacier, the Icelandic mountain guides were very friendly and easy going whilst always keeping a watchful eye over us to ensure our safety. It was a great experience and one I will surely repeat if I travel to Iceland again.

We hiked the day trip and it was so amazing!! Our guide was so knowledgeable and you could tell he knew the glacier and Iceland very well. Had a great time, would definitely recommend!!!

Very nice trip with "Paul" a nice, interresting and securising guide, cloth to Skaftafell A bit "touristic" maybe, but we learned a lot of things about Iceland and the glacier. Hope to come back soon!!

The company was accommodating to one person who had a bit of physical trouble with the climb so it would have been nice to do a bit more but I completely understand and still had a great time! Would definitely recommend to others.

My friend Duncan and I really enjoyed our glacier walk back in November, the guides were really great, friendly and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend it to anyone! Just remember to bring your gloves and leave your handbag on the bus.

Had a great experience with Icelandic Mountain Guides. Plenty of time on the ice; ice axes and crampons provided; a really knowledgeable and friendly guide.

We had the Glacier walk in November last year. The guide is really knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend and well organize. She proposed to take alternative path to avoid other groups and take us to another path with less traffic. The trek is not difficult and we enjoyed a open view with all white surround.

In March of 2013, two friends and I went for a glacier hike with Icelandic Mountain Guides. It was quite and experience. We learned so much about Iceland, glaciers, the environment, etc. It was unbelievable to be walking on a glacier covered in ash from 1914. I highly recommend Icelandic Mountain guides. They had flexible schedules, great prices and knowledgeable guides.

Thank you to Vedar who was our guide (apologies if name spelling error). We had a brilliant day visiting the black sands, volcano, waterfalls and a walk on the glacier. I was terrified to be going up but with the right equipment provided and Vedar and the team's obvious experience I was brave enough to venture out on the ice. Our daughter age 11 was also well looked after and was sooo excited to be in the jeep 'off-roading'. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. Making it a fun and educational day all round. Highly recommended!

Vi havde i uge 42 2014 en spændende gletsjer vandring på solheim gletsjeren, hvor vores guide fandt forskellige huller og huler som gav et bredere billede af hvad en gletsjer er. Guidens forklaringer sammen med det gode vejr gjorde at vi alle fik en rigtig god oplevelse, både vi voksne og vores datter på 10 år.

Nice guide, perfect English, very competent. Equipment was OK, everything was on time.
