We had a fantastic tour in early September with the very friendly and knowledgeable Elin- she made the tour so interesting! It was an amazing experience to walk on a glacier in the morning and then speed around the Jökulsárlón Lagoon in the afternoon, I recommend it to anyone coming to Iceland's South Coast. We had enough time at the sites and were able to relax during the lunch break in between the two excursions, very well organized!

The tour was really great. At the start, we all sat down in chairs to get the correct crampons for our shoes. After that, we hopped into a mini bus to drive to the glacier. Our tour guide, August, was really informative, engaging and very friendly. The views were amazing so make sure to bring a camera.

This was truly an incredible experience and worth every penny. Started the day with the hot springs, then heading to the magnificent waterfalls on the way to the glacier, which was otherworldly. Our guide was great, he had so much knowledge and experience and I felt safe and in good hands. Highly recommend the Walk through Fire and Ice day trip.

Very nice group, excellent guide, fantastic landscapes. A real pleasure. The huts were a bit of a letdown: most were old, shabby and cramped... And not a single natural hot pool in sight when one would think that all they have to do is bore a hole in the ground. Apart from that, it was a marvellous trip.

Walking the glacier fulfilled a dream. With the team of Icelandic Mountain Guides I always felt safe, learned a lot and gained experiences for life. Also they do care about nature and try not to harm it. They respect it.

The only way to see the uninhabited and stunningly beautiful interior of Iceland is to go on a trek. We did a supported trek with Icelandic Mountain guides in July 2015 and it was the highlight of our trip. Even though spring was late arriving and access to the trails was challenging, Icelandic Mountain guides were able to get us safely through our trip and keep us well supplied. Our guide, Robert, was exceptionally informative and entertaining. The trek (a Category 3)is physically demanding, but not overwhelming, and the sense of accomplishment you get at the end of the day,as well as the comraderie with other hikers make this a fantastic experience. The food we were served was plentiful and delicious, by far the best of any other hiking tour groups we saw. Trekking with Icelandic Mountain Guides will exceed your expections.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, my guide was engaging. Tours are book back to back so when your session is done you have to quickly make your way back, its best to consider your physical level and stamina. It's important to note they only deal with equipping you, educating you on the do's and don'ts and guide you on the glacier. They are not affiliated with the facilities at the base of the site so things like food/water and bathroom may or may not be available.

I would recommend Icelandic Mountain Guides, I walked the Laugavegur Trail in August. The weather was very mixed, but mostly cold and wet but this did not dampen our experience. We had a wonderful time with our guide Siggi and the man who transported everything (sorry - can't remember his name). We learnt much about Iceland from these two, their enthusiasm and knowledge was inspiring. They were also very professional and worked hard to make sure we got the most out of our stay. I also went glacier walking with Icelandic Mountain Guides, this was well organised and a great experience, our guide Kris was again knowledge and interesting.

We had an excellent tour with IMG. We made our reservation on-line the day before the trip, and were able to talk to the staff to address some questions prior to the trip. I had previous glacier experience but my wife did not. The tour was enjoyable for any level of experience. The staff was excellent with explanations, very safe, and well informed about local geography, climate, and history. I would highly recommend the tour and company. I only wish that we had time for one of the longer tours/climbs. The only recommendation would be to address the lack of adequate toilet facilities near the trailhead. This is not solely IMG responsibility, but perhaps could be a collaborative effort among all the businesses there.

A fantastic experience. Anna, our guide was knowledgeable, funny and kind. She fought to the bitter end to find us Northern Lights and she did! I only wish each stop had been a bit longer. Especially, at the waterfalls.

Courteous guide, friendly and willin to explain lots of things in the trip. We bookes a combo tour (Glacier walk, not so great because you don't go very far in the glacier, and Jokulsarlon REALLY great) and saved some money. We'd come back and make the reservation with them again.

Our two guides were knowledgeable and inclusive to all in the group. They were available to offer encouragement to make it through the long, tough hike, but also allowed individuals or groups to be on their own to enjoy their experience in their own way. We had a schedule that we had to roughly stick to in order to make the bus back to our starting point, but even keeping to the schedule allowed plenty of time to enjoy each aspect of the route. My only issue was that we ended up with a long wait for the bus back to the main road, then another pretty long wait for the bus back to Skogar, which made a long day even longer. My husband and I wondered if the company could the company arrange for private transportation after such a long hike?

Iceland is a land of contrasts, hot and cold, fire and ice. The guided glacier walk would be an exotic and exciting adventure anywhere in the world but to be able to do it in a land that is still being built by active volcanoes makes the whole experience even more memorable. Put this into your "Not to be missed" category when planning your trip to Iceland.

We had a wonderful experience. Our guide was very interesting and fun. He taught us the basics about crampons and the ice ax. We used ropes in some areas next to deep crevasse. It was one of the highlights of our trip around Iceland.
