I have just complained about a shortfall in weight delivery of crab claws. Now these cost £20.40 for 8 to 12 weighing 200gm. I know, I fell for it didn't spot the 200gm bit!!. I received 7 weighing 170gm. No apology given, refunded £3.06p by Lawrence Munro the Customer Services Manage for the "alleged" shortfall. Now that's what I don't call custopmer services. AVOID.

We ordered a number of different products (order no. 652713). We have just eaten the cod fish cakes and salmon fish cakes, which had arrived in a vacuum packed plastic bag, two small cakes in each. Together they are about the size of one hand made fish cake from your local fishmonger. We defrosted the cod and salmon fish cakes and cooked as directed. The cod cakes were tasteless, and mushy. The salmon variety were a bit better but still bland. They were packed and frozen in September 2021, which can’t help their flavour. You should get much tastier, and fresher, from a local fishmonger. In case you wondered, if local is better why did I order these? Because they stock our favourite sardines, so thought I’d try other stuff from them. The sardine experience with these guys turned out to be an extraordinary debacle, on which more on later this week while we draft a note to the Food Standards Agency - yes it was that bad. Ordered to be delivered in my day off, waited in in expectation to no avail. Our delivery was left in the full sun on a doorstep next to a busy footpath for several hours after DPD failed to knock or let us know they had made the delivery. No sign of delivery on video doorbell so presumably the parcel was thrown from footpath. Certainly not left 'in the porch' as DPD advised...as we don't have one. As a result £50 plus of fish thrown away last night as all sign of ice had completely melted away on the warmest day of the year, and I was not prepared to risk re freezing.

First time I’ve ordered from The Fish Society and I won’t be my last. Quality of the fish was amazing and the speed of delivery and quality of packaging was First Class. ***** The only thing that them down was DPD. They failed to leave the parcel in my safe place as advised. To just leave it on the door step is unacceptable especially in view of everyone walking or driving by. But that’s nothing new with DPD…their service in South Wales is appalling.

Sounds corny but I used to make fish cakes but these are really delicious, they are the right size, some can be a little peppery such as haddock and Ieek but I like that but my husband is not sure .

I recently purchased some pots of sardine paste. Upon tasting the contents I was a little disappointed that the sardine taste was a little overpowered by tomato that had obviously been added to it

I have not tried the contents yet. From looking at the condition of the contents, I must say that I am very impressed, compared to other seafood suppliers! I have not doubt the products will be fantastic and when I mentioned these products to my Daughter-in-Law, she has posted her liking on Facebook. No doubt she will be ordering from you. I will be ordering some more of the same as my son, daughter-in-Law will be coming to visit us next week with our grandson. And they love fresh seafood. I would be recommending you to all my fresh seafood friends.

Snow crab tasteless and extremely salty nearly inedible because the amount of salt. This was a very expensive purchase and a total let down. Would never buy from Fish Society again.

Gosh...where to start. I ordered 400g of baby squid which arrived yesterday. I completely expected frozen food but what I hoped for, for the extortionate price was fresh fish packed in ice. What I got was a horrible mess of frozen crap and when I looked at the label it had a date on of 2020. So it was caught and frozen two years ago! Please update your website pictures to reflect what is actually delivered. I have put the squid in the fridge overnight and as soon as it is defrosted it is pink and spoiled.. fresh squid should be white. Won't be eating that. So bad...I went to Morrisons and got two squids off the fish counter for a quarter of the price and they were perfect quality. Don't waste your money on this. Disgrace.

Fish arrived on time and still well frozen. This time I ordered sea bass fillets, together with salmon and fish cakes. The sea bass was delightful, simply pan fried and I'll definitely buy again.

My parcel arrived on time and the packaging, excellent. The instructions were clear, especially important for a beginner fish-cook such as I. My chosen goods were excellent as well (no need to tell you that, I'm sure!). I'll be placing an order regularly.
