Jordine from customer service was really helpful, quick to respond and friendly when helping to resolve the issue. The laptop was still under warranty, and Jordine was very communicative throughout the process.

It doesnt say much for their 20 point quality check if this issue wasn't picked up. Another company who thinks 'pass it on to the consumer and see if they notice'. Laptop sent straight back. Wont be ordering from this company again.

United Kingdom | 30 April 2024Tier One sell battery based products, which could be a number of years old. We all know that batteries deteriorate over time, but Tier One's refurb process doesn't include the battery. So if you buy a refurb, you may as well resign yourself to fitting a new battery. If the battery is sealed in the product, you can look forward to an expensive visit to the repair shop. I've been asked for more information, with a threat to delete this rating. I've passed on what details I can with the links provided, but that didn't amount to much. My review is based on the fact that refurbished products are likely to be old, and because batteries deteriorate with age, the battery is likely to be substandard. Tier1 say they don't include batteries in their refurbishment processw, therefore buyers of refurbished, battery-based products risk a deteriorated battery and hence the need to replace. If the battery is sealed into the product, that would normally mean a trip to a repairer. I've recently bought a tablet from Tier1, which is perfectly ok, but I'm only using it at home, so a charger is always available.

Looks unused. No signs of wear on keyboard. Runs like a dream. Super silent and cool - in fact I think I may name it 'Cool Runnings'. Tip for prospective purchasers - If you are not in a hurry, register with the site and wait for special offer emails. I saved nearly £100 with various discounts etc.

Spain | 05 April 2024Some issues with the laptop model I chose being no longer available, but the customer service team were responsive at all times Received laptop now and its in excellent condition. My only complaint is there was only Microsoft Windows available pre-installed as an OS. Rather than paying for a Windows license that I won't use I would prefer an option to have Ubuntu, or Fedora, or no OS at all. edit: I since was told you can use code "NO-OPERATING-SYSTEM" in this case, and the team helpfully applied it retrospectively for me
