ho acquistato un volo di ritorno da abu dhabi a mxp con compagnia Etiiad nel mese di novembre e ieri 22 gennaio mi sono trovata il volo cambiato con la compagnia Vamos . Pessimo comportamento di E. L'aereo utilizzato è supereconomico, paragonabile a easyjet con sedili durissimi, e poco reclinabili .RUMOROSISSIMO al limite della sopportazione ( non si sentivano i video in cuffia xchè coperti dal rumore dell'aeromobile). 7 ore di volo invece delle 6 prenotate .Ovviamente nessun risarcimento dalla compagnia prenotata.

Just landed in abu dhabi from Dublin a disgrace ancient plane no tv so no films told company are well aware plane is too old given 5k air miles would prefer refund. Dont fly Ethiad this is business class Ethiad style

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience on flight EY 889 from Beijing to Abu Dhabi on January 19th, 2025. Due to technical issues with the plane, the flight was significantly delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight to Copenhagen. Unfortunately, throughout the entire flight, there was a lack of communication regarding the status of passengers who missed their connections. Despite my inquiries, the staff seemed unclear and unable to provide any helpful information. Upon arrival in Abu Dhabi, I was issued new tickets for a 14:30 flight to Munich, followed by a transfer to Copenhagen. This new itinerary has resulted in an extended 10-hour layover, leading to an overall delay of 15 hours. This situation has caused considerable inconvenience and distress. As a business class passenger, I expect a higher level of service and communication, particularly in such circumstances. The lack of support at the airport and the unclear communication regarding my missed connection are unacceptable. When I sought assistance from the staff at Abu Dhabi airport, I was told that I could only file a complaint online, which was not helpful. I understand that issues like this can happen, but I strongly believe that compensation should be offered in cases where passengers experience such significant delays and inconvenience. I would appreciate any feedback on how Etihad intends to address this matter and restore the standard of service that business class passengers rightfully expect.

Very basic and service was ok for a business class flight. (Flew on the Boeing 787-10 and 787-9) Price was quite affordable all things considered, the flight experience from boarding to landing and deboarding the plane is very mixed and the service is quite inconsistent to say the least. Food, all in all, was very mediocre for what it was. Some were bland, some were rather cold despite being a hot food, and some options remind one of the economy class optioned foods rather than something you'd serve in business class. The Etihad lounge provided to business class passengers at the Zayed airport was very busy, especially considering it had multiple floors. The food they provided at the lounge was also very tasteless, limited and simple. The service on the plane varied from the routs in my experience, on my flight back from my destination, I had a wonderful experience with a very kind and engaging crew. From my memory, 2 out of the 4 flights I've taken with my booking were very impersonal, very apathetic. On my first two flights, nobody bothered introducing the seating to me and nobody cared to provide proper service aboard the plane and seemed very offended when I asked questions about the seat or the menu. The seat itself was alright, more comfortable than economy but not too impressive, the massage feature seemed rather useless considering the layering of the pillows/"mattress" and the seatbuckle on the 787-10 on the seat top seemed kind of useless to me as it always unbuckled by itself. I'm a rather tall person so the space is ok overall but when you went into "sleep mode" and were laying down, your feet space is very limited and can get quite uncomfortable after some time has passed, this can cause "lazy" feet which causes great discomfort and is unfit for the expectations and price of a business class cabin. Amenity kits were alright, basic but provided essentials: toothbrush, sleeping mask, lotion and a hydrating face mist. Wine list was very nice, drink list was also a mixed thing for me, some were good and some were very bad. The coffee option was pretty good for something aboard the plane and was also available cold and with ice. I was aesthetically pleased by the Etihad Armani exclusive products like the blanket, the glasses, the mixer, the cutlery, etc. Overall, a lot to work on the consistency and training of some flight attendants, wonderful crew from Shanghai to Abu Dhabi, food options should definetly be revised, and the Zayed Etihad lounge is just horrible, more of a place to pass your time if you are able to find seating than to enjoy its benefits. I'd rather recommend spending some time on doing some duty-free shopping than the lounge. Seating is something that can't really be effectively changed in due time so I'll leave that for them to fix in the future if they do care about any of these reviews.

Important update: a representative on the chat function said Ethiad has no active email addresses. I sent many emails which were ignored including to company executives and hope you will not similarly waste your time at least via email. This follows a raging pattern in the aviation industry of notorious brazen impenetrability. Think long and hard before spending thousands with airlines that do whatever they want and go incommunicado after they’ve deposited your money. Many airlines including once reputable carriers are just notorious flagrant outlaws. The Middle Eastern airlines and Turkish are recidivists in this arrogant disregard for customers. They believe they have a good reputation among unwitting less frequent flyers. In this they are aided and abetted by: 1 Google searches that deliberately obscure the unvarnished truth about what they are selling. Trying to get an honest answer about whether a seat is lie flat is an incredibly frustrating forensic dig and you still can’t be sure. 10 year old bad reviews come up on page 1 as if to message “there are always unhappy people” Also mocking people who spend thousands as ‘worrying about trivia.’ Most outrageous is when supposed travel gurus affirm the airlines lies that one seat is as good as another. For savvy travelers getting a suite is the sole reason for a booking that forces them to molassessly circuit through the UAE or Qatar etc. The airlines know it’s a scam because they are totally deceitful and not transparent when they do these downgrades that they pretend are not downgrades. Useful idiots are the best customers. 2. Flight reviewers and credit card owned and operated points sites. Be especially careful when everything is reviewed except the seat which is after all why you spend thousands not to get a $6 glass of wine. Also: Quite a number of carriers such as Lufthansa and Icelandair also regularly market and sell as business class a product that is premium economy. Just noticed that the suite I bought on Ethiad’s new 350 has been quietly downgraded to a shabby old seat on a 777. They sent a change notice in which I couldn’t see any time changes but then noticed the dinosaur plane. I will get my money back one way or the other. Having already dealt with this at Qatar, I will also never fly Middle East carriers again and will totally pare back business spend. This deliberate purposeful fraudulent product misrepresentation is probably the current day biggest travel scam costing customers hundreds of millions. And as usual the credit card industry are indispensable aiders and abetters, profiting handsomely from this sleaze. Multi thousand dollar purchases and the airlines simply refuse to be reached. Bogus emails on their websites and —relatedly- emails to actual contacts unacknowledged , phones not answered etc. I’ve actually had credit card companies tell me ‘we can’t reach them either.’ Where are regulators, prosecutors, the class action bar, the unbought media? Contacted Ethiad 12 hours ago with zero acknowledgment nor response. See above. They are incommunicado at least via email. Thanks again for TrustPilot. Read Ethiad’s positive reviews on Trip Advisor & see if you can find one that’s not FAKE.

Está compañía tiene que mejorar mucho para ser una aerolínea de élite, que es lo que querrían ser. Fuimos a Denpasar (Bali Indonesia) tras escala en Emiraros Árabes. El reclinado de mi asiento no funcionó en primer vuelo ni el segundo. El vídeo no funcionaba el audio. La separación de asiento escasa. A la vuelta el avión tardo una hora en despegar y el aire no funcionaba. A 35 grados en el interior. Un desastre. Atención al cliente muy amable pero cero patatero en soluciones. Hay que trabajar más. Esto ocurrió en octubre de 2024. Reclamé y me pusieron de mentiroso. Encima esto.

Worst flight I've ever taken! Ethiad is a total joke! They charge you a massive amount more for baggage! Long haul flight and no baggage included!? The plane was old and dirty, the infotainment controller fell out of it's housing leaving exposed wires! The food was terrible and a tiny portion, the legroom the worst I've ever encountered and you practically have to beg for a drink. In 16 years of long haul flights this is by far the worst one I've ever taken.

Unreasonable Baggage Policy and Poor Customer Service – Etihad Airways I recently booked a long-haul flight (over 12 hours) with Etihad Airways and was shocked to find that checked baggage wasn’t included in the ticket price. It’s unrealistic to expect passengers on such trips to travel without luggage. Adding a checked bag costs nearly as much as the ticket itself, which feels like an unfair and deliberate upsell. To make matters worse, it’s nearly impossible to get in contact with their customer service for assistance. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, and I will not be flying with Etihad Airways again - NEVER ETIHAD AGAIN

Le pire voyage de ma vie avec mon fils de 7 mois il m’ont donné la place tout à l arrière de l avion collé au toilette essayer de faire dormir un bébé à cet endroit avec tout les va et viens j ai demandé à payer un supplément pour changer de place mais d après l hôtesse c était trop tard je n aurais jamais imaginé un jour voyage dans ses conditions mon enfant qui ce réveille tout le temps bref un cauchemar

Wie zig Mal gesagt, ist der Kundenservice eine Katastrophe. Wir haben einen Flug mit 2 Nächten Zwischenstop in Abu Dhabi gebucht, angeblich bekommt man das Hotel kostenlos. Hotel haben wir aber nur für eine der zwei Nächte bekommen, der Kundendienst antwortet seit Monaten nicht. Wir dachten Etihad wäre ähnlich wie Emirates eher als Primium zu verstehen, die Realität ist: Ryan Air ist dagegen kundenfreundlich. Wir sind noch gar nicht geflogen und ich hab schon genug von der Airline. Absolutes Armutszeugnis, fliegt mit anderen Airlines und zahlt lieber 100 € mehr.

Ich bin absolut enttäuscht von Etihad Airways und werde nie wieder mit dieser Fluggesellschaft fliegen. Mein Flug von Frankfurt nach Bangkok wurde nur 3 Stunden vor Abflug storniert, und mir wurde weder eine angemessene Erklärung noch eine Hotelunterkunft angeboten. Ich musste mich selbst um alles kümmern, was mich nicht nur viel Zeit, sondern auch zusätzliches Geld gekostet hat. Laut EU-Verordnung 261/2004 habe ich Anspruch auf eine Entschädigung von 1.620 € für die entstandenen Umstände und Auslagen. Doch Etihad bietet mir lediglich 1.200 € an – ohne Begründung für die Kürzung oder Berücksichtigung der weiteren Kosten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Kundenservice ist eine absolute Katastrophe: Automatisch generierte Antworten, die mein Anliegen ignorieren. Trotz mehrfacher Nachfragen und eines inzwischen über 100 Tage langen Wartens seit September (!) habe ich keine persönliche oder zufriedenstellende Antwort erhalten. Absolut keine Kulanz, keine Entschuldigung, und keinerlei Bemühungen, mich als Kunden ernst zu nehmen oder für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten aufzukommen. Das gesamte Erlebnis war eine Zumutung, und es wird klar, dass Etihad Kundenservice und Transparenz nicht ernst nimmt. Die Missachtung von gesetzlichen Vorgaben und die respektlose Behandlung von Kunden sprechen Bände. Fazit: Etihad Airways ist in Sachen Kundenservice die schlechteste Airline, mit der ich je zu tun hatte. Wer Wert auf Zuverlässigkeit, Kulanz und guten Service legt, sollte diese Fluggesellschaft dringend meiden. Ich werde Etihad niemandem weiterempfehlen und zukünftig alle anderen Reisemöglichkeiten prüfen.

**Review of Etihad Airways: Disappointing Transit Experience** I booked a flight with Etihad Airways three months ago, drawn in by their offer of a 2-day free hotel stay during transit in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately, my experience with their transit visa process, customer service, and overall handling of my booking has been extremely disappointing. When I applied for the transit visa via Etihad’s website, my wife and our 13-month-old baby were granted visas, but my application was rejected. I reapplied, thinking it was an error, only to face another rejection. Desperate for a resolution, I reached out to the UAE embassy but received no response from them either. To make matters worse, just two days before my flight, Etihad informed me that they could not offer the promised free hotel stay because the dates fell under "blackout dates." This was a complete shock, as no such restrictions were mentioned when I initially booked my ticket. On the day of my flight, Etihad refused to issue me a boarding pass, citing a policy that transit stays exceeding 24 hours require a visa. This was despite the fact that my final destination was Manchester, UK, and I had relied on their advertised transit benefits. Adding to the frustration, I asked if my flight could be rescheduled, but they refused, stating that there were no seats available. This entire experience was incredibly stressful, with no support or solutions offered by the airline. The lack of transparency regarding their visa process, hotel blackout dates, and rigid rescheduling policies left me stranded and deeply disappointed. Etihad Airways failed to deliver on their promises and left me feeling unsupported at every step of my journey. I would not recommend flying with them and hope they address these significant shortcomings to prevent such experiences for other travelers.

I have been a loyal customer and traveller with Ethiad Airways for almost 2 and a half years now but this time my travel journey for both outward and return was so very disappointing and unacceptable for an airline that calls its self as the national airline of UAE and high standards as per Ethiad. I was given ending row seats for both legs of my journey with the entertainment screen not working on touch as well as remote so for a journey of about 7 hours 40 minutes in total from Abu Dhabi to Dublin and the other way around faced the same issue. I request to check the equipment on the airline and then issue seats being a bit more considerate while issuing seats. Thanks

As per the majority of reviews on this site, I will definitely not be using Etihad again. To cut a long story short, we paid extra to choose our seats and when we arrived at the gate, we were told that the flight was overbooked and were given unsatisfactory seats on what was already a very old plane. I started the refund process at the beginning of November 2024, and it is now mid January and have received nothing so far. I will now be initiating a Section 75 case through my credit card company to recover my money. I will not be using Etihad again and I could not recommend it to others, poor show.

Letztes Jahr sind wir im November von Phuket nach Düsseldorf geflogen. Der Abflug in Phuket hatte über zwei Stunden Verspätung, somit haben wir unseren Anschlussflug in Abu Dhabi verpasst und mussten 6-7Std in Abu Dhabi auf unseren Weiterflug, über London warten. Die sogenannten Essensgutscheine konnten wir nicht einlösen. Etihad möchte mich nun mit einem Gutschein von 200$ abspeisen, der nur eine Gültigkeit von 12 Monaten hat. Der Kundenservice ist eine Katastrophe. Einen Gutschein werde ich nicht akzeptieren. Zumal ich ja dann gezwungen bin, den Gutschein innerhalb 12 Monaten bei Etihad direkt einzulösen. Der Service an Board hat auch rapide nachgelassen.

Was trying to book a flight to Australia. Couldn't get the booking to go through. Eventually telephoned them. The chap reading the booking was very hard to understand, sent me a booking link but no itinerary. Did the payment. Next morning when checking my booking discovered there was an error on one of the flights, was told I would have to pay €250 even though it was within 24 hours of booking. Was told the 24hrs had to be in the same day!!!!!!!!! Despite numerous calls, with promises to call back, no call back. When I called today I was told the case is closed and if I wanted to change I would have to pay which has now gone up to €471. This is a Melbourne to Brisbane flight. Beware what a dreadful airline. No customer service. Will never fly with them again. If I could afford to cancel and fly another airline I would.

evitate la tariffa flexi ho provato a cambiare una tratta su 4, del volo , per giunta quella più breve Pur avendo una tariffa flexi, mi hanno chiesto oltre 300 € cioe molto di più del costo della tratta - la motivazione : il costro delleo stesso volo il giorno dopo costa oltre 300€ in più !!!!! Cosa succederà se uno cambia la data del viaggio ? sono sicuro che costa più che acquistare il volo ex novo Come li vogliamo giudicare ? e non sono ancora partito !!!!!

I WAS SCAMMED AND DEFRAUDED I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had on December 30th during my flight from Lisbon to Colombo. On that occasion, I was unfairly charged an excess baggage fee of 238.20 EUR due to a unilateral decision by the employee at the airport, who sent my travel trolley as check-in baggage without my prior consultation or authorization. I would like to point out that, had I been given the option, I would have taken the trolley in the cabin of the plane, thus avoiding the exorbitant cost that was imposed on me. This attitude, as well as being disrespectful, has caused me a great deal of inconvenience and a significant financial loss. I believe there has been a clear error and inappropriate behaviour on the part of the airport operator, and I therefore request that this situation be rectified as a matter of urgency. I expect a full refund of the amount unduly charged, as well as a formal explanation and measures to prevent other customers from experiencing the same situation. I look forward to a quick and efficient resolution of this case, otherwise I will reserve the right to appeal to the competent bodies to guarantee my rights. Sincerely, Antonia

Absolute embarrassment of a so called airline. Avoid at all costs!! Booked Dublin/ Abu Dhabi/ Melbourne returning Sydney/ Abu Dhabi/ Dublin. Paid £150 per person for extra legroom. Eitihad changed the flight times and aircraft 5 times in the 6 months prior to travel. The issue was they moved our seats on each occasion to random single seats around plane without legroom. We easily spent 6 hours on the phone trying to sort their mess and never once received an apology. We dreaded receiving an email from them as it was going to be a horror picture trying to get them to understand our issue that they caused. Eventually got speaking to a manager who promised we would be contacted urgently within the hour with a confirmation email, this was 4 months ago…still nothing. We arrived home today after our trip and the 4 dirty, freezing planes with rock hard seats could only be surpassed by the rude cabin crew who clearly have no interest in being there. We will never use Eitihad again as they were useless at every level. Shocking experience.
