Australia | 11 September 2024Did not need to make a claim which was a great relief to me. However ill consider using you next time because your premiums are not too expensive, unlike the company the travel agent recommends, maybe next year when I return to my preferred travel destination.

Australia | 10 September 2024Freely have the best value plans and useful add-ons. Their phone app works well. I'm amazed at how quick they resolved my claim - paid out while we were still on vacation. We had a great trip and flights, with only a medical claim. We will use Freely again and recommend them to others.

Australia | 10 September 2024The choices on various cover, peace of mind while travelling

United Kingdom | 10 September 2024Very easy app to use & pay for any policy required. Although i have not made a claim so would be unsure how this works, the purchasing of a policy is simple!

Australia | 09 September 2024I love the fact that the freely app is so smooth and easy to navigate makes it so much easier to see your travel insurance and also what your covered for. Save digging through emails, opening web browser, it's the only travel insurance I use when I go snowboarding as they do sports insurance as well. Would definitely recommend.

Australia | 09 September 2024It’s so easy to just add cover for activities you are doing for only a few days. It makes it cheaper than having to add cover for things like motorbiking or snowboarding for an entire trip when you won’t even be doing that activity all the time. Super easy user interface too.

United States | 08 September 2024Freely has a gorgeous app but then when the you know what hit the fan, I was taken to an archaic site to file a claim. -In the claim submission confirmation email I was provided no time frame of when I'd hear back leaving me completely in the dark. By the way... it took 1 month. -I tried to get in touch with the support team about claim timing via the app chat (which has wonky hours), but they had no knowledge of my claim and told me I needed to call a number or email a specific email -Once i finally got my claim denial, I had a bad taste in my mouth after frankly a poor chat with a support agent where it felt like she was trying to catch me in a circumstance that would leave me not covered, and which she provided so much insurance speak it left my head spinning I work in insurance, and the fact that the policy didn't provide some coverage for my flight cancellation (I guess a pre trip add on was required) was surprising to me (I read the policy, it's confusing). I had also even bought two add ons for the policy.

Australia | 08 September 2024While overall cost of insurance is important, the coverage is just as important. I found the app really handy for when my plans changed and I needed to include an adventure activity that I previously hadn't planned. (hot air ballooning) Being able to include cover for that specific event (or any other event that might crop up) for just that specific time/date, was very convenient. I made two adjustments over my two months of travel. The flexibility of cover, WHILE I'm travelling, is fantastic!

Australia | 07 September 2024I found Freely easy to set up travel insurance even though I didn’t need to use the insurance it was good to know it was in place if needed.

Australia | 06 September 2024I had a medical problem when I was in Thailand I had to delay my flight home, so that means more accommodation. Freely covered my expenses for accommodation, flight changes, and medical bills, I was so happy that they helped me out with my expenses

Australia | 06 September 2024Please don’t use Freely insurance as it certainly doesn’t cover you when an airline cancels or delays your flight due to mechanical issues. I got caught out in Japan and was delayed by over 28 hours and when I tried to claim I was given the run around and received no financial help. On the other hand I had a 12 hour delay with Jetstar going to Bali and I automatically received a cash payment from 1 Cover insurance. Freely might be cheaper but when it comes to claims they pay nothing.

Australia | 05 September 2024On 3 occasions we tried to contact you once on the 10th /6/24. as I wanted to extend my existing policy via your app. Ooops it said , it was having some technical difficulties. Which meant I couldnt extend my existing policy. So we finally got through on the phone on the 13/6/24 . But our reception wasnt great and the person we were talking to lacked english talking and problem solving skills. After 1/2 hr on the phone I told my daughter to hang up on him. Then we tried ringing again the second time and got much the same result after spending another 1/2 hr on the phone. The frustrating thing is when your on holidays and you have a problem you want to have the peace of mind that the person on the other end can solve your problems . Thats why you have insurance. Also the person is sitting in an office with all the things that they need at there finger tips. Not like us being in a foreign country and having our mobile phone battery going flat due to the length of time we spent on the phone. Plus the stress and frustration of having your airline go into liquidation . And having to rebook and pay for new flights ,plus accomadation and other expences. john from australia

Hong Kong | 05 September 2024Very bad travel insurance provider. I bought once and now never will buy from them. Be very careful they offer cheap premium but don’t cover a lot of things.

Brenton Sibly
Australia | 05 September 2024I was told that the travel company and Freely would consult about my claim - consequently I refer my claim to the travel company and expected them to forward all required information to Freely. This clearly did not occur! Consequently, I wish to lodge a complaint - the numbers that Freely cited in determining my claim, showed no relationship to those provided by the travel company

Australia | 05 September 2024Simple to use and third time using freely. Recommend.

Australia | 05 September 2024I am happy to say I didn't need to make a claim, however, Freely covered everything I needed for 3 overseas trips and will be my go to for future travel.
