I applied for a claim on 28 June 2023. It is now 2 August 2023 and I'm still waiting for my refund. My email for a claim got passed from Freely to Covermore and then back to Freely and each time to an offshore person who told me a different answer to my claim. Fed up. Stay away. Pay the extra for a real insurance company with customer support.

Ended up with food poisoning on one of my MANY trips to Thailand (January) ending up in hospital. Left the terribly efficient Bangkok Phuket Hospital in Phuket after many tests and a heap of paperwork and medication (no overnight stay). For the first time in a number of years I made a claim on my Freely travel insurance. I was dreading a to and fro of requests from them requiring further information. Not So. They were so quick at reviewing and approving my claim. Will be using again in November this year

All went very well. I did have a few mishaps with a tooth problem and a rash also while travelling in Bali. I made a claim and is was easy all done online. I’m booking a trip to Mexico in June and will use you again. Thank You Alan

Made it Easy to use and understand, thankfully we didn’t have to make a claim but if we did I’m sure it would have been smooth sailing.

A good company to trust for your insurance

For the first time, I bought my travel insurance through the app. The shopping experience was very smooth, easy and convenient. I first did a price comparison via Google and Freely's insurance was the best in terms of price-quality and I can happily recommend it to others as well!

Great value cover

I purchased with freely because of the option to tailor your insurance cover as you go. We went to a destination where we knew we may wish to do some adventure activities, but were unsure of the availability of tours and dates prior to departing. Once we arrived at our destination and factored in weather and tour availability, I attempted to book the necessary additional adventure cover but could not. I was told the reason being I had to have added the additional cover at least two days prior to our trip ending (we needed cover for the last day….). So in hindsight, their flexible policy wasn’t that flexible…! The basic cover was however good value for money and for basic insurance I would use Freely again.

Didn’t realise my luggage was not covered. When I was looking for insurance I have seen in advertisements that luggage will be covered so I purchased straight away and automatically deducted from my account and was really hoping everything was really covered but when my laptop was damaged and claiming it . Feedback received that luggage was not included. I should pick better insurance coverage really true what others were saying here. It’s a SCAM. Never ever use this insurance company ever again.

Stay away from Freely! Our trip was cancelled and we didn’t get any money back.

Don’t buy this insurance! It’s a scam. We have bought this insurance for our trip to Vanuatu. We had prepaid accommodation and transportation in Vanuatu. Unfortunately, after 6 hours at the airport the airlines has cancelled our flights due to the mechanical plane issue. It took the airlines 3 days to fix the plane. The airline has given us a credit for the flights, so we were forced to postpone our holiday. We have logged a claim for the prepaid accommodation. Our cancelation policy was up to $5000. Sadly, we haven’t received any money back!Apparently, they are covering only airlines cancellation caused by strike! We will never ever book this insurance again!

Easy to use and cheap

Simple straightforward and affordable travel insurance.

I didnt have to claim but knew i was protected. The sos feature of the gps tracker was great. Made me comforted to know that the company knew where i was in Africa the whole time.

I did not need to call on your service but good to know it was there if needed, value for money thank you

Great insurance for interstate travel whilst waiting for my ambulance cover to kick in. Only problem is can’t rotate the Freely app on my iPad screen to horizontal (and yes everything else could rotate) - drove me crazy. Ok on my Samsung phone.
