I had a custodian controlled SDIRA account. When I started with them, requests were quick and funding was done in ~5-7 business days. As time went on, questions did not get answered for over a week and in one case, funding took over 2 weeks to complete. Service went down the drain so I moved my account to another custodian.

Excellent service! They walked me through the process of getting my self directed IRA set up. They also very clearly identified everything needed from me to get my Gemini account up and running. All went very smoothly from beginning to end.

IRA Financial was very fast and and very helpful getting me setup with Gemini to trade cryptos tax free with my IRA.

Account set up was quick. But we are facing problems with investment funds transfer . No timely response to phone calls or emails. Hope this can be improved.

I've been working with IRA Financial Group for a few months now, setting up a self-directed Roth IRA. My favorite thing is being able to email and call people whose names I know, and who actually answer the phone. These folks are friendly, kind, and responsive. Shout out to CJ in particular, who answers the phone "This is CJ, how can I help?" She's been my go-to whenever I get confused...which has been often. I'd give 5-stars if the process was clearer from the beginning: a roadmap of all the steps you'll go through, and which department will handle each part of the process. It gets really, really confusing trying to figure out which department you need next. I've lost days reaching out to the wrong person. Overall, I'm happy with IRA Financial and recommending them to others.

Overall structure of IRA product is fine. Signed up in December and faced increased quarterly costs in 3 mos. undisclosed until after first of year. Also named bank account under a master account which creates huge issues transferring funds in for some services since main account is under IRA Financial's name. Customer service has been spotty - getting key people has been fine, but regular chat and first level calls have created non-responses and other issues.

Professional and courteous are how I can describe the treatment from this company. And whenever I have a question, I can usually get an answer in a reasonable time. I will probably do more business with IRA Financial Trust in the future.

Overall it is a great service. My only issues are when incorrect amounts were transferred and to an incorrect address (did not match the email request). However, this was not an issue for me as the amount or wallet address did not match the request but were still ok. They are a little slow if requests are not expedited and there was an instance where service was slow even after expediting. I do not have anything else to compare, but based on reviews I have read online for other providers my issues here are insignificant. The fees are the best based on all my research.

IRA Financial Group is the best in the business. After interviewing two other companies to implement my first ROBS program using my 401k funds, I decided to go with IRAFG. They seemed much more personal in their initial communications. Glad I went with them. In fact, I'm currently working on acquiring my third business using them to manage my ROBS program. Timely and easy to work with... and affordable. I would highly recommend them.
