United States | 26 August 2024I have had the best experience through the text chat. If you type representative you get someone right away. Through text chat I was able to get my personalized voicemail working, but not with live voicemail. Over the phone, an agent did not provide me with the best solution, saying that I needed to pay $1 per month for visual voicemail on iphone to fix my issue. Based off a help article on Red Pocket's website, this is only for android. The next day I was able to chat with a different agent, CS Leslie, and resolve my voicemail issue. Leslie reset my voicemail and I reset it up one last time through my phone's call app. I also was able to get a porting problem fixed quickly over chat on another occasion. Customer service is great and resources are available. If you ask the right questions you will get the help you need. Service is great and price can't be beat.

United States | 20 August 2024Joining Red Pocket went smoothly using the website but I ran into trouble when I was not able to obtain a Number Transfer PIN quickly from my previous provider. Concierge support reached out to let me know of the issue. Later I chatted with Lianne and she remedied the situation very quickly. After I obtained the required information Nic activated my account. But I could not find the QR code necessary to complete the process. Lianne quickly sent me the QR code and everything finally worked! Well done!

United States | 15 August 2024Leslie went beyond the call of duty and told me that I did not need to buy a whole new annual plan and get a new sim card -- that I could just renew my current annual plan. Saved me lots of time and hassle. Thank you, Leslie.

United States | 13 August 2024Data service is very slow in Wyoming, but I don't use it that much away from my own wifi so that hasn't really been an issue unless I'm trying to, say, log into an app for curbside pickup and it lags. But the REALLY bad experience came while I was trying to port out to Union Wireless today. It dragged on for TWO HOURS (2pm-4pm) before we finally found out that Red Pocket can't port out my number until 9pm tonite... which means I won't have any cell service until tomorrow morning when Union Wireless can finish the order. Yes, the service is cheap. But get ready for some REALLY bad customer service if you're porting your number out.

United States | 13 August 2024Marcello gave me today an excellent service over the phone. He changed my Red Pocket Plan from CDMAV on my old phone to GSMT on my new phone. He was very friendly and had a lot of patience.

United States | 10 August 2024Red Pockets Rebates are a nightmare. After a May purchase of an iPhone with $200 rebate, they won't send a check or credit my debit card. They claim that a virtual Visa gift card is a rebate - not true! I want the cash. I'm not part of the Amazon Apocalypse. My local vendors for gas, groceries, cafes prefer cash to avoid fees - using cash is a small tip and a friendly way to do business. I have no idea if any place I shop accepts a virtual card, nor have I ever used one, nor had I heard of them until 2 days ago. Nor do they explain what a virtual Visa gift card is, where is it accepted, how to use it, etc. I made several attempts to contact them through their "Ticket", but they all came to a stop without actually going through, and there were no error messages to clue me in. I spent 50 minutes on the phone and was told there is no other way. They owe me $200 and need to simply give me my money, but won't.

United States | 09 August 2024I have paid for 10gb of data for 2 years. Whenever I would exceed the 10gb, my data would be throttled. No biggie. Then recently, my data is completely turned off if I go over. I asked red pocket about it and several agents reprimanded me for "unreasonable use". I asked whether the policy had changed and eventually was told no, even though the result of data overage has in fact changed. The cost is no longer a good deal and the customer service is absurd. Try Visible. Seems like a better deal. Unfortunately I'm locked in to red pocket under my annual plan.

United States | 07 August 2024Hi Karen did a great job and was able to find out if there was an issue with my tablet... She refunded my payment due to my 2 tablets not being able to use the GSMA NETWORK... B+ because I had a difficult time locating how to check compatibility... Thanks and good luck with your friends

United States | 06 August 2024CS Marcella went above and beyond and understood my concerns. I wanted to get an inexpensive plan and phone for my senior parent. He also helped me set up the plan since it would not allow me to set it up online. He also informed me that I would need a new phone since the one we presently have is not compatible . He made this experience less stressful for me and my parent.

United States | 04 August 2024Online customer service was horrible. Spent several hours getting nowhere with two different chat sessions. Had to keep repeating the same info over and over. It seemed like a different person was coming in each time to help me because they kept asking questions I had already answered. I chose the eSIM method because that's what their website said to do for a 2022 phone, which mine is, but that did not work for my phone. They really should revise that and ensure that your phone is eSIM compatible before you start that process because you are going to lose use of your phone if it is not. My phone would not work anymore until I got a physical SIM card. I did not know this. I would have never agreed to have my phone locked until they mailed me a SIM card. They should warn you about this before you click and send in your phone number and the other ID number that you give them from your phone. They should tell you that as soon as you do that your previous service will not work. If their service does not get up and running for you, you have no phone, which is what happened to me. When I asked if I could just back out of the deal, since it was not working as advertised for me, I was told that they could 'port out' my phone but I would lose the money I had paid them. I had not even had 'their service' for an hour at that time and had not been able to use it. Shady business practice. I was told I could check for a SIM card at Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General, etc. I checked all three of those places and they do not even carry RedPocket SIM cards. I went back to US Cellular, which is what I had, and they told me I could not get service from them again with the same number until RedPocket ported out my phone. So RedPocket had my phone hostage. I got back home and back onto chat and it was l like pulling teeth to get RedPocket to port out my phone, with them asking the same questions repeatedly. I tried asking the tech if I could port out, lose my money but at least have US Cellular back that evening since I had only switched that morning and had not cancelled with US Cellular and never could get a straight answer on that. Finally I was told that I would have to be in the system for 24 hours before they could port out my phone. I can understand that unexpected difficulties can happen. But my phone got locked up without warning by following their directions. Then I am told that they will keep my money if I cancel and my phone will stay locked up by them for at least 24 hours. If I stay with them I have to find one of their SIM cards, which does not exist around me, or wait for them to mail me one, unable to use my phone the whole time. Simply unacceptable and the customer service online was incredibly bad. I am baffled at all the 5 star reviews. I was skeptical about doing this online but went with because of the good reviews. My phone was one that was out of the ordinary I guess because it is a 2022 model with a physical SIM card, but RedPocket should verify that your phone is eSIM compatible before having you take the route I did by just assuming that it is. And if you get locked up by following their directions they should immediately offer you a refund in a very apologetic manner. It's just completely unacceptable to make someone's phone unusable without fully warning that person, who does not know any better, what they are about to get into. Some of the worst customer service I have ever had in my 58 years. Hours of it too, going around in circles online. Absolutely would not remotely consider using this company after my experience today. Just maddening. With all those raving 5 star reviews, I guess they all had ordinary situations to deal with (as opposed to a physical SIM phone that RedPocket thinks should be eSIM) or got their cream of the crop service rep's and I got their two worst, with a sanity straining reluctance to be forthcoming and straightforward. Profoundly awful. There, done now, I'll quit.
