Had there so called dispute service. Allow the landlord to rip me off. They put tenants last and a landlord has the upper hand. I wish I could get a phantom cleaner and fake costs. Avoid at all costs as tenant . There bias and unreliable.

Have just read some Really Awful Reviews. Wow! Thought it was maybe bad Tenants possibly, but on reading further the list of 1star Reviews is endless! Factually if a Company is getting more bad Reviews than good all of the time then it's a Poor Company. No Excuse. Sort it out. Should anyone need there Deposits back reasonably ask for,if this fails a Court Order or Bailiffs are a good option. Shaming on Media is a fantastic way and I would recommend doing this anyway.

Only interested in keeping landlords happy. When they finally replied to my emails it was rude and they stated too much time had passed so I’m guessing they had already given my deposit to the landlord. I had photographic evidence of how I left the property so I should have received my money back but I don’t actually know what happened to it. 30 days I believe you have. I don’t know how they are government approved because they shouldn’t be. Misleading, unfriendly and their software is not user friendly.

We have worked with mydeposits for many years and would highly recommend. Sharifa especially was extremely helpful and dealt with my query very swiftly. The customer service is great as well as the website itself.

I use DPS Insured Scheme for all my Tenants deposits. OpenRent who we use for Marketing automatically send Tenants bond money to a MyDeposits Custodial Scheme which they more or less make impossible to transfer to my Insured Scheme. This is despite Tenants signing consent forms and all parties instructing My Deposits to release the bond - which they unreasonably and illegally hold on to. Taking this cow boy outfit to court over this practice. Very unethical company who appear to obviously make money out of their scheme and appear to ignore instructions from landlords and tenants even when both parties are in agreement to release the bond! These bond protection schemes should be made Not For Profit companies which would put an end to conflicts of interest between landlords, tenants and Bond Protection Schemes own commercial interests!!!!

The team at MyDeposits in general have always been helpful with advice and professional yet friendly with their approach. I spoke to Jamie recently querying transfer of deposits and he was able to answer my questions promptly. I subsequently sent an email for the necessary action and it had been completed by Sharifa by the next working day. Efficient work! Sherah - Very Nice Homes

To my Deposits, you still in favour of landlord as you give them more time than tenants to prepare a defence Reply from mydeposits 42 minutes ago Thank you for your review Mathilda. Our process allows a tenant to, when raising a dispute, provide evidence and have up to 10 days to provide further supporting evidence before we review the case to approve or decline. At that stage we contact the landlord or agent who then has 10 days to lodge the money with us and advise is they are going to take the case to court or use our ADR service, following this they then get 10 days to provide their evidence. The money is seen to be the tenants until proven otherwise. Following this a tenant gets a further 3 days to view the evidence provided and make comment, but not supply anymore evidence. The process is balanced to allow each party to provide their evidence via an alternative dispute resolution process which is the alternative of going to court and should be used after negotiations between both parties have failed. Kindest regards, Emma at Mydeposits To my deposits, our deposit was not returned at all so we opened a dispute which did not require much documents at this stage because we only needed an email to prove the deposit was requested in full. At this stage tenants are unaware of deductions. Thereafter you assess the case, you give 10 days+10days = 20 days to the landlord to defend themselves. Thereafter you give Only 3 days to the tenants to argue what the landlord has built up for 20days, please correct me if I am wrong but it’s 20 days against 3 days? I strongly believe this is unfair and feedback needs to be forwarded to management. Thank you For your understanding

website is impossibly slow, sometimes taking several minutes to navigate to the next page. impossible to work with efficiently. Would recommend DPS instead.

I had my deposit protected in a scheme by mydeposits. After the agency acting on behalf of the landlord, unlawfully tried to seize the deposit with claims without any proof, I turned to mydeposits to raise a dispute. This should have been an easy case, since the agency claimed deductions without providing any proof. Even after countless times I asked this from them, they failed to do so. A dispute has been raised to mydeposits in which both myself and the agency given rights to provide evidence. After this phase over, the agency failed to provide any evidence for the claims as anyone would guess. Mydeposits awarded a return of the disputed amount. But then something strange has happened. A couple days after this decision, mydeposits changed this decision. The awarded amount has been halved now and they said they 'talked' with the agency after the first decision. I told them how unethical and unfair, possibly illegal even, to individually 'talk' with one side of the dispute after a decision has been made. They told me to raise an objection, this time to themselves. Which I did, just to fit the procedure and told them that there is no evidence for any of the deductions. Even worse, they based their revision on charging me for any wear/tear happened in the flat. As a tenant, I had no responsibility for any wear/tear due to the tenancy agreement and yet they decided to charge me %80 of the wear/tear damages for a flat that is 10 years old (as told by the agency) and I only stayed there for 13 months. There is no need for a law degree here, anyone with a little sense can see something is clearly wrong. All this have happened after the agency 'talked' with mydeposits. Therefore I recommend anyone to stay away from this agency who the landlords/agencies clearly hold in their pocket. Edit for reply below: Emma, I have already done that process. if you refer to my original comment you will see nothing happened. And I do not believe of your statement saying mydeposits is impartial for both parties. Both of parties had time to present evidence, then a decision has been made. However after you ‘talked’ with the agency even after a decision is made, you changed the outcome drastically.

I had a problem renewing my membership. I felt I had accepted the terms and paid - possibly twice. I emailed mydeposits and Jason White responded very quickly, confirming my renewal and refunding the additional payment.

How is this possible? I left the house in better condition than I received it and documented it with the photographs from when the house was rented to me, which was in poor condition. The floor is the same as it had and in the same condition, the walls were covered with the owner's permission and we painted the rooms that had stains of various colors. We fix and decorate the bathroom and the owner has sold the house as we left it, except for the floor that has changed in the living room and kitchen. We also tidied up the kitchen and he has sold it as is except he has painted the walls a different color. This seems like a joke. Can I do something about it? I have the photographs of how you announced the sale of your house. Thanks
