United Kingdom | 08 January 2021The online portal is easy enough. The adjudication process was fairly slow though payment post-report speedy. The actual adjudication report itself was entirely inadequate. It failed to consider evidence, its use of 'reasonable' was based purely on the adjudicator's opinion and significantly departure from usual damages principles (i.e considering a duty to mitigate where significantly lower quotes were provided to the Agent). Significant sums were awarded without any receipts provided in evidence and even without invoices. The adjudicator made statements unsupported by facts and not even claimed by other party.

United Kingdom | 06 January 2021Awful if you are a hard working honest LANDLORD avoid they side with bad tenants. I have used mydeposits for years but just had my first dispute and I'm shocked by the dispute resolution of my deposits. It's slow long winded too weighted to the tenants and seems to rely souly on whether you have date stamped photos from move in/move out despite the other evidence and contradictions of poor tenants. It's pointless paying their fees as they are not fair impartial or balanced in their review. Leaves you feeling what's the point of supporting them and even taking a deposit in the first place! It's appalling avoid! Update the reply was never followed up on it's just on here to make it look like they care!. Updated: Nov 2021 no reply from Emma at my deposits - they just put a reply on here to look as if they care but do nothing about the bad review

United Kingdom | 30 December 2020People are nice but to be honest the website is poor. Right from the log in the site is not designed to make it easy for the user, if you you have custodial, insurance, landlord and agent...you have to log into different sites with different credentials. Once in the site the interface is poor. Search is very restrictive. I suppose it is ok if you only have one or two deposits but more than that and it becomes unmanageable. The list of deposits gives the impression it has filters with arrows next to each column headings...this is just for aesthetic purposes they don't actually do anything. The way the deposit are protected, renewed needs work. They will email you to tell you that deposits are expiring but don't give you a way of finding the deposits, nor do they give you a way to change the status. Summary: Site is well intended, but delivers poor performance and is not at a professional standard

United Kingdom | 18 December 2020So far NOT impressed. I'm a tenant raising a dispute about the withholding of my bond. I have uploaded all required documents and evidence, have sent it all via email at least 3 times and case assessor continues to send me emails claiming I haven't provided docs. Yet when I call customer service, they assure me all my evidence is there. So my case assessor is incompetent?? When I asked to speak to the case assessor or a manager, I was told this wasn't possible. You don't raise a dispute lightly; you do it because you believe the withholding of the bond is unjust and unfair. In my case, I have the evidence to prove it. And you believe that this independent company will help you, not make the whole situation harder and more stressful. But at the moment mydeposits is adding to the stress, anxiety and hassle. I have little faith this company will help me get my bond back. I think they will probably reject my dispute on a technicality. That seems to be the way it's heading.

United Kingdom | 18 December 2020Ref DPC 04844597. Iam a landlord and this company has held an extremely large deposit, ( of which I am owed a large amount) since the tenant left on 1st November. They keep saying they are sending me a link to set up my account which never materialises, let alone releasing the deposit.I consider this a misappropriation of both my tenant's and my money. I will be contacting the Serious Fraud Office if I do not get satisfaction within 7 days.

Greece | 17 December 2020I left my apartment 5 months ago and I have not received my deposit yet. Every week they tell me that my deposit is to be paid immediately but it has not been paid yet. The people working in my deposit pretend to be kind but instead, they are liars and frauds. YOUR DEPOSIT IS NOT PROTECTED IN MYDEPOSITS. terrible experience

MY DEPOSITS are stalling on this, not responding to emails and each time myself or the tenants call to enquire what's happening a different person will tell us initially that they do not have the deposit even though online its clearly registered with them under the reference number. Eventually they accept that they do have us on the system and says another department is dealing with it and they will email us . Still waiting for that elusive email!

Despite tenants absolutely trashing the property and providing absolutely no evidence to support their request for a refund of the portion of the deposit kept and spent on repairing the house. My deposits allegedly evaluated their zero evidence and our 12 pages of dated evidence and still awarded in the tenants favour. Absolutely disgusting and unjust behaviour please do not trust them and register your deposit with a more responsible company- Abysmal and incompetent! Furthermore their decision cannot be queried or appealed they are a law unto themselves and as a solicitor of over 15 years I have never seen such incompetent evaluation of evidence!

They have now removed the online chat option and do not respond to emails, forcing customers to use their premium rate phoneline and will keep you on hold for over an hour. I need this money for my future accommodation and have now been left in debt waiting for the funds, that are rightfully mine! This company is a Government endorsed con! beware!

United Kingdom | 16 November 2020STILL UNPROFESIONAL Further to my review on 19th of October 2020 I had contact from Emma by email asking for details in order that she could sort the problem out (check out my review of 19th October with Emma's response) All information sent but still no response from Emma if she even exists. This company seems to hide behind an impenetrable system, you hang on for ages waiting for an answer on their customer service phone line and the same on their live chat line. Given I have better things to do with my time this is also unacceptable. Its not the tenants deposit that needs protecting from the landlord, the tenants deposit needs protecting from MYDEPOSITS
