United Kingdom | 23 July 2014I purchased a Sanli Bushcutter from this Company which had a "normally 3-5 day" delivery forecast. After 4 days I enquired whether my order was in the system waiting to be delivered to me. I got a return email saying that they did not expect my item to be in the delivery warehouse for several days after their forecast. This was misleading information as the item was not in stock. I immediately cancelled my order.

Soon after was contacted by e-mail stating that part of my order was not in stock and was offered the choice of 1) an alternative, 2) shipping the in stock items and cancelling the out of stock items or 3) waiting about 3 to 4 days for new stock which was coming in, before all my order would be delivered to me. They offered me all of the choices - unlike many companies who don't bother or make you do the thinking and chasing. Decided to wait for new stock to receive all of my order and as promised , my order was delivered promptly by courier. Professionally packaged as well. No complaints, more than pleased and happy with Tool-Net. Thank you. Paul Pettitt

They offered me a choice of sensible alternatives for immediate delivery, or a part delivery with remainder on back-order. I chose the latter and the initial delivery arrived quickly. Quality product as described, and terrific value for money at the price paid. Good communications re: back-order, which arrived a few days later, sent first class and carriage free. Subsequently received a discount voucher for next order - much appreciated. All in all a good experience from a professional outfit. I will certainly use them again

I hadn't heard of them before and it was my first order. There was a slight delay from their supplier however they did notify me and when they did receive from their supplier a day or two later they did sent it out next day delivery which did make a big difference to me. The parcel was very well packaged and the goods were as expected. In summary, I will be using them again and would recommend them.

United Kingdom | 15 July 2014I purchased a big order of Everbuild AC95 Acoustic Sealant and it took a while to get stock in. Even though the order was accepted and paid for. When I had to contact Tool-Net to find out progress, I realised it was an 0844 number, so I was a bit miffed at that. I emailed and got a reply within an hour. It's good to note that emails seem to get a pretty quick response. Tool-Net supplied me with an invoice upon request - I didn't automatically get one after the order was placed online. I think the invoices get sent with dispatch, rather than at point of order. My items were split into two deliveries due to the quantity and stock issues. The first delivery (main bulk of order) was delivered late (but on the day I was told) and unfortunately the delivery company used, only gave a day of delivery, no indication of even approx. time (not even morning/afternoon indication) on that day; so my mother had to stay at home and just wait until it turned up at 18:45! Whole day wasted - but I guess this is not Tool-Net's fault, but they could find a better delivery company. In this day and age when communication is so important and so easy; to not be able to tell the customer an approx. day period for delivery is not really acceptable. The second part of the order was delivered a few days later; I was sent a dispatch email and the remainder of my order was delivered a few days later. Overall good experience but I think a few things would make a customer's life easier and provide for a better shopping experience... - better indication of stock levels when ordering. - have a local rate customer service number - actively inform user if there are stock issues resulting in possible delays to order - choose a delivery company that can give better indications of delivery times/periods I would definitely recommend Tool-Net to my friends/family as now I know the sort of user experience they provide, I can inform my family/friends up front so their expectations are set accordingly. Definite 4/5 company. Overall good but with room for improvement.

United Kingdom | 29 June 2014Unfortunately this was our first time shopping with tool-net, and will be our last. Despite advertising the items as in stock, with a 3-5 day delivery time, which we did think was a bit slow, even for a free delivery service these days, on the 4th day they emailed to advise that the goods were in fact delayed coming in to their warehouse. So much for being in stock. They promised that they were due in on the 5th day and they agreed to put them on an overnight carrier for delivery on the 6th day. They marked it as dispatched on that 5th day, but the carrier had no recollection of collecting the order until the 6th day. Despite this, tool-net were still adamant that it had been dispatched as promised, when clearly it had been left another day to be dispatched. Because of this, it was finally dispatched on a friday before a bank holiday weekend and then wasn't delivered by the carrier until the Tuesday, nearly two weeks after ordering. Bad enough that their service was terrible, being lied to just shows any company up even more. Yes, their prices were good, but no better than any other companies that offer a far superior service.

Got an email today (26th) to say that they only have part of the order and they are chasing up the other part with no indication of how long this will take. Meanwhile, I've got a job that I need to complete. Bad communication. Bad service.

United Kingdom | 11 June 2014Other than price, the most important thing when ordering online is that in the event of any problems, there's someone at the other end of the phone to help you solve them. The majority of my order went very smoothly but one item needed to be specifically manufactured and this was missed initially so the product was delayed more than the advertised 3-5 days. I received a couple of calls from tool-net advising me of the updated status. I will certainly use them again as I know that in the rare occasion when there is a problem, it will be handled very professionally and resolved as quickly as possible.
