I went in to John Banks with a query on my car yesterday morning. The staff were totally focussed on the problem and provided a service of pure excellence. They were polite and extremely helpful and sympathetic to a fast solution for the problem as I was going to be collecting my 90 year old aunt next week and needed to be sure that there would be no unwanted bleeping messages flashing across the screen. Within a couple of hours the problem was diagnosed and fixed in a temporary way so that I could collect my aunt with no worries. Sandra Ramsey and Mlayne couldn't have been more kind and more helpful. Sandra runs an amazing team of people, all so willing to help and to work with their very best endeavour, providing care and coffee! They attended to the problem, solved the problem, all within a couple of hours and with supreme goodwill no charge was made. A very big thank you from me!

With some trepidation we recently looked to change our car from a manual to an automatic transmission. At the time we took the car Charlie handled all the paperwork for DVLA and spent time with us explaining the controls of our new car and pairing our phones to the car. Great car shame about the satnav. Last week, we dropped by John Banks in Bury St.Edmunds on the off chance they'd have the sort of Honda Civic we wanted. Quite by chance they'd had one arrive in the previous few days and it wasn't even advertised so although it was slightly older than we wanted, it had a very low mileage, we purchased it. It's great to drive and I had a long trip last week and it was fine except for the Satnav which was not updated since the car was new in 2014. This means that for at least some of the time you are driving across fields at speed and some junctions are seriously wrong. I asked John Banks about replacement map software and this costs around £300, only upgrades to 2018 and they wouldn't upgrade on a recently purchased car for free. This is somewhat disappointing and it is something buyers of used Hondas should be aware of. I do need an up-to-date satnav and for £300 there are ones with up-to-date Garmin and other solutions available elsewhere. A 2014 Honda 1-8 i-VTEC SR Auto is a super car and drives a little better than our 2001 1.4 VTEC Honda although possibly less fun.

Originally saw vehicle advertised on auto trader and although we live 80 miles away decided to view vehicle as not many with the spec we wanted. We were greeted by Darren who was very professional and friendly. The vehicle had been prepared to a very high standard with service history etc. we were allowed to take vehicle for a test drive without the salesman. The car was excellent and we decided to purchase it. Darren sorted all the paperwork out while we went to lunch nearby. The overall experience was excellent and there was no pressure to buy. Darren should be commended for his customer service satisfaction and attention to detail on a used car Forgot to add ,we were able to reserve the car for 3 days for a refundable fee of £99 which is a great help.
