United Kingdom | 06 January 2024After an accident in my car, which resulted in my car being written off, I found a car via the internet at Suzuki Ipswich, nearly 200 miles away! From the initial contact, the Sales person Carl Moss gave me outstanding customer service. I was unable to visit the site to view the Suzuki Baleno so Carl did a video walkthrough for me and showed me the slight imperfections in the paintwork. As the car wasn't new. Carl was fantastic! When I decided to go ahead with the purchase, he kept me informed every step of the way. I was able to contact him at anytime, if he wasn't available, he would always returned my call. It was probably a couple of weeks before the car was a available, Carl had arranged for it to go into the bodyshop to touch bits up and for finance to be arranged. Again, when the car was ready Carl sent me a video walkthrough. The main problem for me was I wasn't able to see the car in person. We went through various scenarios for me to go there. None of which we practical for me. After a consultation with his Sales Manager Carl went above and beyond to arrange to have the car delivered to my home address. As Carl really wanted me to be happy with my purchase, he decided to drive the car to me himself! I have had several cars through dealerships over the years and I have never had such outstanding customer service. At no time was I put under pressure to buy the car, Carl kept me informed every step of the way and as someone who knows nothing about cars answered every question and query with great humour and patience. I will not hesitate to buy from Suzuki Ipswich again.

When I arrived I was greeted by Darren briggs who I spoke with on the phone earlier that day, he let me have a look and feel for the car to see if I liked it. The car was well kept could not fault it we proceed with the handover of all paperwork and the keys he explained everything very clearly and offered a bargain of a protection scheme for the paint work and value of the car. Overall a great experience.

Having been in sales all my life I recognise quality when I see it he is friendly helpful polite and very personable a real asset to this company. The error popping out whenever there was low temperature outside was checked and repaired accordingly. As a motability customer, I was advised that taxi from and back to garage can be booked for me at no extra cost. It was a lot to my surprise how quickly and professionally the service and repair were done! I definitely recommend John Banks Group in Cambridge UK!

United Kingdom | 18 December 2023Was contacted by a salesman regarding a car that he thought I would be interested in , ( which I was ) the car was at the dealership in Colchester , we arranged to go to look at the car this Thursday afternoon ( 21st December ) , however he rang to say that the car would be delivered to the Bury st Edmunds branch which was better for us , I told him I was very interested in this vehicle and I would like to put a deposit on it to secure , this was late on Saturday afternoon 16th December when we discussed this , he even said he would bring the vehicle over to our house to view !!! No need to put a deposit on this vehicle he told me to secure it , I was really pleased with how he was happy to do this , we arranged a time and we said that we would be happy to view the car at bury st Edmund’s at 2.15pm on Thursday 21st December which was good for him to , that was all fine with himself . So today I am called 1st thing this morning 18th December to say the car had been sold !!!! I was not happy that he had lied completely on Saturday to me about this vehicle, I told him that I was not happy how he had lied to me and all he did was apologize and kept saying sorry , call ended , he then rang me again and offered another car to me !! Nothing like what I wanted !! I have bought 2 vehicles from this dealership in the past and have never ever been treated like this !! I am very disappointed with this salesman and I strongly recommend not to use this dealership when a salesman can lie like he did to me

United Kingdom | 15 December 2023In dealing with John Banks Hyundai to test drive and eventually agree a contract to acquire a Tucson, I experienced a shambolic organisation. Initially when an agreed test drive date / time was arranged, I found that the car allocated to me was already in use by another client at a different location. Also, after having agreed a contract, I was faced 4 months later with having to sign another contract and undertake further credit checks as the original was mislaid, thereby delaying deliver of the vehicle significantly. John Banks Hyundai need to improve their customer service.

United Kingdom | 15 December 2023We are Honda fans and have been for many years. In the past, I have owned x5 Honda CRV’s, x2 Civics, a Prelude and a CRX. I currently own x2 CRV’s and a Honda CRZ. I have used Colchester Honda for 24 years and now that the Franchise has been taken over by John Banks, I wanted to establish closer contact with another Honda dealership for our cars. My current car was serviced yesterday at Ipswich Honda John Banks dealership. It was the first time that I had used this garage for a service although I had purchased a previous Honda car there. On arrival, I was invited to join the 2 year car servicing plan. I also received two explanatory sheets detailing what was included in the options. But the plan was explained in a bored couldn’t care less way, the staff throughout the visit seemed lazy and unhelpful. e.g. I specifically asked whether the car would be "cleaned inside and out”. When I queried the amount of cleaning. I was told in a “so what” attitude that the service included the floor wells, not the boot area. I replied that the Honda garage in Colchester had always given the car a good clean throughout, but the desk staff said that’s all that would be done. I said I was “disappointed” but other than repeating "the floor wells only” comment, no further action was offered. When I examined the car further, it really had been poorly cleaned, both inside and out. I sent a complaint email attachment of the photographs depicting the large areas of dirty paintwork inside and outside the car. Additionally, the Gents toilets was filthy and there was no toilet roll available. All in all, an unpleasant experience. This is the only occasion I have had which has given me cause to complain over many years of previous helpful Honda service. I have subsequently been contacted by the John Banks group complaints manager who apologised and arranged for a free valet in Bury St Edmunds , which I have accepted. I have been completely satisfied with Honda cars until now. I am unlikely to move to another car manufacturer but I will never visit Ipswich Honda again. One star ? No Star !

Rhys Measor was the sales person we dealt with and he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable but without a trace of high pressure sales talk. As my last car was bought new in 2005 a reasonably modern (2020) Jazz was a complete upgrade on every front and Rhys was very patient and understanding as I grappled with the new technology, offering 3 test drives and subsequent 'training sessions' once I have grasp the basics. I would also commend Kimberly for stepping in to help when Rhys was delayed by the recent Orwell bridge closure, she was equally competent, friendly and patient. The only negative I experienced was that my expressed interest in buying some accessories for my new acquisition has remained unanswered after being transferred to the parts department.

United Kingdom | 07 December 2023My recent experience was 1 star. I am giving 2 stars because they were quite good in the past especially Matthew. However, I would say that certain other members of staff are very poor, rude, and also that this last service I have no idea what I got for 300 pounds. Work is massively overpriced £188 to replace a cracked fog lamp cover!!! No thanks. Didn't even complete my log book left on front seat for this purpose or clean the car inside or out (which usually they do for free). Not sure if they did anything at all. Maybe they just looked at it and then told me to come pick it up. Also record keeping and standards across Renault dealerships is awful - quoted me £900+ to replace brake pads which are apparently corroded after less than 2 years. When I questioned this, the staff member said she couldn't speak to the quality of materials used at other official Renault dealerships. It was a "Renault Assured" used vehicle at £15,000. Probably half the issue is Renault.

Richard had said to pop in whenever was convenient and when I did, he fitted it straightaway. I found Richard to be very helpful and friendly.
