United Kingdom | 16 December 2021I had my bike serviced and it was great, then i had a new frame rebuilt it was ok. then I had a not so great experience which i got very annoyed with some of the advisories and charges, I must say the customer service was great, the problem was resolved and they refunded some of the excess charges. I spoke with someone incharge where i suggested to look the job as a whole rather than charge bit individual bits as of all of them were a new job, as this will make a lot of people uncomfortable. Happy with the job carreid out

United Kingdom | 15 December 2021My bike was picked up by Thanos, looked at and repaired promptly, and then dropped off by Barbara. Both drivers were super friendly and communicated well. The servicing was done very efficiently and professionally. I even called to see if I could have my bike returned sooner than I had originally scheduled, which they were happy to do. You're also given a very extensive safety check report and service record when they return your bike. I'm very satisfied and think my bike is also very happy with it's day at the bicycle spa! I don’t understand any technical stuff but they don’t talk to me like an idiot and help me know what needs to be fixed and what can wait till next time etc. Also, the drivers are always so helpful, kind and polite! Super amazing service. My bike was just dropped off by Barbara and she was no exception, friendly and helpful and brilliant. Thanks again Havebike for looking after my mint green pride and joy.

On the one hand, the bike was collected and returned on time, the service was conducted quickly (collected friday returned sunday), and the communication was excellent. As far as I can tell (only having had the bike back for a few hours) the quality of the service was fine. On the other hand, I would warn anybody thinking of using this company that once your bike is collected you are likely to be quoted a large number of additional costs for parts that allegedly need to be replaced along with additional costs of labour. In my case, these came to around £240 in total with around £80 of these being ‘advisory’ and the rest described as ‘safety critical’. I found some of these recommendations unconvincing given that my brompton is only two years old, and when I pushed back the company conceded that some of the ‘safety critical’ costs were not actually critical. I ended up paying for most but not all of the safety critical costs and none of the advisory ones. To be fair to the company, all of this is pre-warned in the small print on their website. But I suspect it will still come as an unwelcome surprise to most buyers. My main issue is that their business model feels quite coercive/pressuring - once they have your bike, they reserve the right not to do any work on your bike unless you accept the recommended safety critical aspects. This means that you feel like you are in a hostage situation - you basically may have to accept getting your bike back with none of the problems fixed, and go through all the hassle of finding another service centre, or you have to fork out for the things their mechanics judge to be safety critical (although as noted in my case they subsequently conceded that some recommendations were not actually safety critical). I am not casting any aspersions on the quality of their staff, all of whom were polite, responsive and seemingly very competent. But, I would seriously encourage the company to rethink some aspects of their business model so that they do not leave their customers feeling in this ‘hostage’ situation. As long as you know what to expect, then you will probably be fine to use this company but personally I would not use them again unless they tweaked their model in response to such feedback. For example, I don’t think they should insist on any so-called ‘safety critical’ replacements as a condition of carrying out the service you originally paid for and expected. It’s fine for them to recommend additional work and replacement parts but they should not try to pressure you into accepting them on fear of getting your bike back without any of the work being done.

The pick up service was great both drivers (Christopher and Barbara) were punctual, friendly and efficient - called to give update on arrival time. They also changed my delivery address, to my work, for my convenience. Great value for an excellent service - would recommend to anyone.

My bike took longer to return than specified, as she needed extra parts, but this was communicated to me with expected dates and the reasons for this via email. In the end, she was only two days delayed, which is amazing. The whole process was done online (minus meeting the driver), which really helped as it meant I wasn't waiting in for a phone call. Approval of extra work/parts took minutes too and my card was charged with no faffing/resubmitting details. All-in, it was expensive (she needed a lot more work than anticipated), but for the convenience, it's worth it. I'd recommend and will be using again for my fancier carbon bike once my wallet has recovered.

United Kingdom | 05 December 2021Took advantage of Black Friday offer, otherwise I would have been put off by the price. Bicycle picked up on time by Renan, who was very helpful. I was then contacted with a list of parts recommended to be changed. This nearly trebled the price but I accepted. I was then told there would be a delay in the return of the bike which could have been a problem as I specifically choose collection and return dates to suit me. Barbara returned the bike at the re-arranged tome and it looks great. Expensive but I am hoping it is worth it.

One slight gripe is the returning delivery person didn't ring ahead to warn me. I was in anyway so it wasn't a problem but something to be aware of since that is part of your offer.

Took advantage of BF offer, there were some further issues that arose but the communication with Matt was clear and gave me options for the repairs and the costs broken down. I ended up needing a new brake caliper but was reimbursed the brake service. Bike was collected and returned by Barbara as planned, called me ahead to confirm times and explained the process at each stage. Bike looks good, brake sorted, thanks!
