Star insurance has been fantastic. We changed last year as my previous insurance was no longer discounted as I chose to leave the NZMCA as I could not enjoy much of their services last year. STAR's pricing was on par with the discounted rate I was receiving. For that I am greatful. I haven't made a claim in many years so can not comment on that however the feed back I researched gave me high confidence that STAR would be a great provider

I changed to Star insurance from my previous Insurance company (after 20 years of premiums paid!) because of very poor customer service when changing cover from one vehicle to another…they we’re so hung up over a couple of camera tickets which I was up front about!! Star Insurance are great to deal with, I had my Mustang insured with another company but they didn't take into account that the vehicle was not an everyday drive. Star Insurance takes that into account, and my premiums were a lot less than other companies. Would definitely recommend Star Insurance.

Had 2 dealings with Star. Simple windscreen chip and a broken side window in a Motorhome. Both handled very efficiently and nice to hear from window people what a pleasure was working with Star. So much so that they often went a little bit further with them as they were so good to deal with.

I've had several claims with Star. Each time the process was glitch free, accepted immediately. They were happy with the repairer I preferred in Hamilton, and very accommodating of their busy schedule. I've also had occasion to phone Star for advice, and found them very polite and helpful. I would definitely choose Star Insurance for future motorhome cover.

After my previous insurance company told me they weren't interested in insuring my car with the potential modifications I was intending to do to it, I thought I would talk to someone at Star who I saw advertised in NZV8 Magazine - and now I have found a company that gets the fact I have my weekend car, and I don't want it to be stock standard and also have a far better understanding of vehicles - they are local, replies were fast, covered in quick time, and the communication was great.

I have used Star insurance for my car insurance for the past few years. Prior to my changing, my previous insurer kept putting my premiums up, despite no claims and the car being older ( less value). It was for this reason I looked elsewhere. Whilst I have had no claims, and no reason to doubt Stars product, there has been no ongoing unjustified premium increases.
