I reported back to the company on their site that the package of veggies was open when my uncle received my gift meal. I can understand that maybe that could happen but I don’t understand why I didn’t get an apology from the company.

I am being asked to review a product that I sent as a gift. I have not actually even received nor tasted your product so there is no way for me to accurately review - I am just tired of getting the annoying emails so I am writing this review.

While visiting her grandchildren out of town, a friend fell and had to have surgery. Being able to provide a meal gave me the opportunity to do something that truly helped. I purchased a gift certificate and the family decided what they wanted. My friend said the food was quite tasty. I will definitely use Send a Meal again.

Timely delivery, nicely packaged, tasty food.

Gotta figure a faster process. Wanted multiple meals but they came from 2 separate places... doubling the shipping cost. I ordered for a death in the family. 4 days to arrive no matter how quick that night be was too long. Of course I could have spent more on shipping than the food to arrive overnight. This ia a great concept.. The receiver said my note was not in the package.. they didn't know who it was from.

Easy gift certificate purchase process, good communication post-ordering

We ordered as a gift for our elderly parents who no longer want to cook. From the feedback received from my in-laws...They were not happy with the meals, lack of taste, everything was mixed together, and not appetizing. Thanks update: I have been contacted by Send A Meal because of my 1 star review. I can say that Send A Meal was receptive of my constructive criticism and has refunded the purchase. I wish the company all the best.

We ordered 4 meals and we just took out our first one (the prosciutto wrapper chicken) and it said it came with asparagus but we got creamed spinach and not the asparagus. That’s a little disappointing since my husband and I don’t like spinach. Hoping the other meals have the correct sides.

Shipping is extremely slow but product is very good.

Sent my elderly father a sampler. He needs low sodium meals so I felt this might be a nice option for him. It arrived quickly, packaging was great, but he said that is where the positives stopped. He tried the breaded chicken with veggies and there was more breading then chicken and the taste and texture were not pleasing. He has 6 more meals so I am hopeful it gets better.

Great service, great options for meals, gifts, etc. Only small issue is the website is a little weak and cumbersome, but manageable.

Food did not come with heating instructions.

This was a gift of sympathy to a family who lost their wife/mother at Christmas. They told me it was delicious.

The recievers of the gift said they liked it very much. It just takes too long to process and ship - wish they could deliver within maybe three days from order date.
