United States | 06 September 2019This place is a relentless in their use of texts and phone calls, despite me having never worked with them or spoken to them. I have never done business with them and they keep sending texts and calling me, even though I am on the do not call list. I consider that unethical. I placed an ad on Craig's list, whose TOS says not to use my information for commercial purposes. Also, I am on the do not call list, so that too. Because of this lack of ethical behavior, you should avoid them like I will. Sadly, even after writing a review like this one, there seems to be nothing that I can do to stop them from calling, texting and I find that beyond frustrating. Trust Pilot wrote me and required that I remove other details, so I have done that.

United States | 05 September 2019The process of moving into a property is super easy and amazing. The willingness for help from Onerent employees is really great. It would be a little easier if representatives listened to all concerns or questions before responding though.

United States | 04 September 2019The staff treated my girlfriend and I with respect. They are very knowledgeable about the application process. The only improvement would be that the agent that shows the property have more knowledge of the home. Please keep up the good work.

United States | 03 September 2019DISHONEST! UNPROFESSIONAL! I rented a property which the owner moved management of the property to OneRent one year after I was already renting. The LL was responsible for landscape maintenance but Onerent would call me to ask me to send pictures to prove the work had been done. When the water heater went out Onerent sent me a Youtube DIY video instead of immediately sending out a repairman. I recently moved out. I had the house professionally cleaned and the upholstery cleaned. I completed a walk-through of the empty cleaned house. No issues identified and the agent complimented me on how nice the house looked. But when they returned my deposit they kept $350 for a repair on the ceiling they NEVER told me about and $200 for cleaning the house. They are claiming there was mold in the shower and the appliances were not cleaned. These are LIES! They do not provide a number for you to speak directly to someone about your move out issues. I had to call different numbers until they had someone contact me. Do not trust this company as an owner and if you can avoid renting a property they manage you should get another property.

United States | 14 August 2019We had a property in Seattle area and worked with Onerent for a month now. Unfortunately, we are terminating our management agreement with them. The company is based in San Jose, CA, but they people we communicate with every day from leasing to maintenance issues are actually in Philippines. They never saw our house or knew anything about our neighborhood. Onerent sends out tasks including house showings to their mobile managers who were in Seattle area. Based on what indicates from their job postings, their mobile managers just needs to be available for the tasks without any experience. One of their tasks is coming to show the house to prospective tenants without knowing anything about it. My husband and I happened to stop by our property to drop off the keys and saw three groups were waiting at the property for house showing under the heavy rain. We felt very bad for them; we couldn't let them in because it was not our job to do. I later sent an email complaining about their mobile manager coming late for their appointments, but Onerent totally ignored. Onerent does things following their orders and we respect that. However, we mentioned on the first day that we needed someone to take care of the yard before putting the rental listing on market. They totally ignored our concerns and listed it on the market right away. Our yard was like a jungle when the showings happened. After the renters signed lease, they came in to do another inspection, and then rushed us about the yard cleaning!? They even required us to clean the house before the tenants moved in without knowing what current state our house was in, giving us a quote of $380 for a cleaning service. Before deciding to lease the house, we already hired someone do a deep cleaning. There was nothing much there to clean but they required us to have a cleaning service. I ended up stopping by to vacuum the house for 15 minutes in order to save us $380. If your house needs to fix anything, they will make sure to have someone licensed and insured coming to do the work (because they can select someone like that online). However, how much their vendors charge, is a real problem. Our house needed to install 4 smoke detectors and 1 CO detector. Besides the labor charge from their vendor, we felt that it was a little expensive for the material charges, but we thought that their handyman might buy expensive/brand name stuff so it was fine. We had them install 1 CO and 4 smoke detectors, but the charged $219 for the materials alone. After the work was done, we stopped by and checked on the models of the materials (surprisingly, only $23 per CO detector, $6 per smoke detector from Home depot). We later told them to ask for their vendor a receipt/invoice of material purchase, but they refused to provide, saying their vendor purchasing things online in bulk. In bulk but 3-4 times more expensive than regular retailers. How ridiculous is that? This is what Onerent said regarding this issue. “Please be informed as well that they are our third party vendor and we don't have control on their pricing or quote” This is what Onerent said before this problem happened. " -Yes, as per the contract, it is on Owner's discretion if you want to set up a Smoke Detector, it is your will if you want Onerent vendor to install it. We have the best handyman for that with a reasonable quote." When things did not go with what they advertised, they said that they had no control over it. Later on, we lost our trust in their vendors. They had someone coming to quote our yard cleaning for $775 and we ended up finding another landscaper cleaning for $600. They also had someone estimate for spraying the ants in our front house area for $278 while we had someone else doing the same for $44. If we have to keep looking for an affordable vendors taking care of things at our property, what is the point hiring them as our property manager? There are a lot of licensed and insured vendors out there, the important part is that you have to know how to get an affordable and reliable one. I do not think Onerent is good at this. Their technology does not know the neighborhood well and does not have a connection with good vendors. Especially, they don’t have an actual property manager in Seattle area. Not to mention the person always communicated with us on maintenance problems was actually based in Philippines. Traditional local property management is much better on finding you a good vendor. One last thing, we noticed a mistake on the contract lease indicating our property did not have a smoke detector (while we had one) and asked them to fix it. The smoke detector was installed before the contract lease created. They refused to fix saying the smoke detector was listed on the move in inspection report. The contract (WITH tenants and Onerent signatures) and the move in inspection report (WITHOUT anyone signatures) were totally two different things; we weren't sure how they came up with that explanation. We really did not feel at ease by hiring them as our property management.

United States | 08 August 2019We were told that the property we are renting was move-in ready. When we received the keys we realized that they had not done n inspection. There are old paint cans and batteries left behind. The wiring in the house is bootleg and not up to code. There are active rodents scurrying around in the attic and now we are being besieged by flies dye to having to dig up old plumbing that needed to be replaced. For 2 weeks there was filthy water standing in our ink that we had to pay to get unclogged and then the toilet backed up into the tub. It took an act of congress for them to put us in a hotel until they resolved the problem,. They claim that everything has to be approved by the owner, but nothing gets addressed without a fight. I have given them a ) when they test to ask about satisfaction. I am now currently filing a grievance with the City of San Leandro Building and Codes because they are negligent. They lie, lie, and lie some more, and I am prepared to take civil action in order to get things addressed.

United States | 01 August 2019Worst experience ever. I'm so sorry for the owner of the property we were trying to see too many times and failed each time. The first time the showing was canceled minutes before. The second time our agent didn't appear and kept telling us she is just around the corner. We basically wasted 40 minutes in front of the gated community and didn't know how to get in or if she will ever appear before we finally left. This company is a scam and I'm so disappointed as I would have loved to rent the place they are marketing. If the owner of 2508 Beach Head Way, Richmond, CA please fire them so we can finally rent your place. Can't believe someone would actually hire them ;(

United States | 31 July 2019If we didn't love the place we were renting we would have left long ago because of frustrations with Onerent. The agent showing us the property we ended up renting clearly didn't know the property bc she told us it had AC (it doesn't) and 2 parking spaces (just 1) and apparently didn't know it had an attic (surprise bonus!). We once had someone call us before 8am on a Sunday to ask if our maintenance claim had been adequately handled. When the dishwasher broke the person from Onerent suggested I pull it out, turn it over, and fiddle with the wires. This is ridiculous in any situation bc a tenant is not responsible for this type of maintenance, but I was also a few weeks post partum so that was not happening. During the move out process we got countless emails with incorrect information - telling us we needed to sign a new lease or giving us move out instructions for a different location. Deposit was late to be returned and now, months after moving out, we are still getting emails from them about signing a new lease. So so happy to be done with them, now I hope they will stop spamming us soon.

United States | 20 July 2019Our interaction with One Rent has been very positive. They are responsive and keep us updated regarding the progress of the maintenance request. They proactively follow up with vendor regarding the service appointment, and take the service feedback after it is done. In the past we had 4 maintenance request and every time the way it was handled was good.

United States | 14 July 2019What an amazing experience, applied for a property was told I had to go to a showing even though the owner approved my application, proceeded to advertise that I was an owner approved applicant on their site and that the property would lease soon, and then leased the property before the scheduled showing to someone else. Then they tried to tell me about properties 4 times as expensive and in different cities. Cannot recommend more if you're into wasting your precious time. EDIT: onerent did reach out to talk to me, telling me they had ILLEGALLY recorded our prior phone conversations for 'quality assurance' in California not notifying the other party they are being recorded is a CRIME, I will be reporting to the attorney general.

United States | 11 July 2019Onerent is worse the worthless. If tenant is late on payment, onerent goes dark with no communication at all. They provide negative benefit to managing yourself.

United States | 04 July 2019I have been using OneRent for my condo rental for 2 years now. I had been reasonably satisfied, but recently have had repeated service requests. The most recent was the need to replace a kitchen faucet that retails for $189. Their parts and labor estimate came to $1299.86. I will be shopping around.

United States | 23 June 2019I’m a tenant renting through OneRent. ABSOLUTELY terrible experience. About six months ago, my roommate and I moved into a condo that was being managed by OneRent. Mutiple bugs on the website was the first thing we noticed. Second thing, we were missing a set of keys since we moved in (FOB key) specifically. We called them after moving in, about a total of 10 times, both of us, as the previous tenant had picture proof that they left both keys in a lockbox and there was only one. Each time they garaunteed us that they were working on it, “we’ll resolve it”, “we’ll contact owner”. We contacted owner who said she never heard from them and even did a three way call to ensure we would get a second key. 6 months later, no key. In fact, we were robbed recently and several important documents were taken. Security footage showed it was someone who has access to our unit and our old code. It was ONE rents responsibility to ensure that we had new codes set to our building and spare keys. Didn’t happen. Whether this is all related I’m not entirely sure, but we demanded to speak to a supervisor this weekend and were told that they don’t have any supervisors working on the weekend. Each time we call, we have a hard time understanding them. They also seem to have no record of previous calls, it’s as if there’s no documentation system in place or communication . We have to explain the story several times to different people which is really frustrating. Really terrible experience and if we had the resources, we would take legal action against this company . I DO not recommend using their company.

United States | 20 June 2019One rent team were excellent in helping me secure a good affordable rental. They walk thru the whole process and even checked in on me after my move in to make sure I was happy. Yes I am happy thanks to One Rent!

United States | 11 June 2019I was on a very short timeline and had a defined list of things I needed to happen. The personnel at Onerent were phenomenal. They listened to every one of my needs, and then reviewed them with me to insure they understood, and then set about to accomplish them for me. They kept me updated throughout the process and continued to check with me to see if any other needs or concerns had arisen. They delivered on everything I asked for and got me through the rental process in amazing fashion and speed. I was (and am) thoroughly satisfied with Onerent and the customer service they provided!

United States | 29 May 2019STAY AWAY Opened a Maintenance request since there was no Hot water in the apartment. They want the tenants to troubleshoot before they could send a technician to AVOID Chargebacks. We live in a multi tenant unit and we don't know where the water heater is. Even if I can find I am not comfortable messing around with a gas water heater. Looking ahead for a nice charge (possible) for a fault thats not mine in addition to no hot water for the last 24 hours. ****************************EMAIL FROM ONERENT*************************** I hope this finds you well today! We have received your concern and we understand how important it is to you to have hot water but we just want to make sure that we've done everything first before sending out a vendor. We ensure to do this initially to avoid any possible tenant chargebacks if ever the vendor finds out that the issue can easily be resolved by simple adjustment or a setting issue. So please try out these troubleshooting steps below and see if it helps: **SEVERAL YOUTUBE VIDEO** You can also check this website: **SEVERAL DIY VIDEOS** Thank you and please review the videos. Kindly let us know if the troubleshooting was successful or otherwise. If the issue hasn't been fixed, please send us a photo of the issue showing the make and model. Hoping to hear back from you soon. Have a great day!

United States | 21 May 2019They did everything as promised. They closed on the original guesstimate week to get unit rented. They got me a great Tenant. With them doing the listings and showing(s). I was able to utilize my time by working and enjoying my weekends. Instead of wasting my time and weekends to show unit. Best monies I have spent in a long time. Will use them again.

United States | 17 May 2019I booked a viewing with them. They sent an email the morning before the viewing and I clicked confirm, then got confirmation texts for my viewing. I show up at the appointment time, they've also had another woman book for that time. It's 10 minutes past our appointment and no one is showing up. I call, they have me wait on the phone for 15 minutes, only to tell me to wait a little longer, I told her I couldn't just keep waiting and had to get back to work. She asked for the property address (which I had already given her), then told me it was already leased. They made two of use waste our time, clearly not a well organized company.
